Chapter 51 The end of a relationship

I heard a very heavy breath from Nayla. Calista could feel what her mother was feeling. Then he said,

"Ma, Caca knows how Mama's struggle has been. Caca knows everything Ma. If you've decided to part ways with Papa, Caca doesn't mind. Mama should be happy and not just think about our happiness. Caca doesn't mind Ma. Mama doesn't have to worry about Caca," Calista said wisely.

Ms. Ratmi looked compassionately at her granddaughter. He knew exactly if Calista was trying his best to make that decision.

Nayla was speechless, she was crying and her sobs sounded heartbreaking Calista who was talking over the phone to her.

"Ma, Papa is sick. For a while, Caca stayed with Papa alone. Caca's got school here. Caca's school and friends here were as good as in the village back then. You don't have to worry about Caca and Papa. Caca is fine and happy here. And Caca will take care of Papa. Now you have to worry about yourself. Mama has to do whatever you want. Caca knows Mama has a lot of desires that Mama has never done because of the responsibilities of Mama as a mother and wife. Now Mama has to please herself."

So wise was Calista's word to his mother. She learned a lot from Keyla when she was in the room with him. Now he can put it into his problem.

Nayla's cries grew louder. Nayla felt herself to be very selfish at the moment. But what Calista said was very true. He was tired of doing everything. Now is the time to think about your own happiness.

Ca, don't you want to stay with Mama? nayla asked between her cries.

"Who said Caca didn't want to live with Mama? Caca wants to stay with Mama and we can play as much as we did back then. But not now, Ma. Caca is in school here. Caca's gonna finish Caca's school here. Only a few years less, Ma. After that Caca will stay with Mama. Anyway Papa is sick now, so Caca will replace Mama to take care of Papa," Calista said.

Nayla sighed again, then she said,

Ms. Ratmi took over the phone from Calista's hands. Then he spoke to Nayla.

"Hello Nay, what's going on? Why are you asking for a divorce?" 

Sorry Mom, Nayla can't say it now. Nayla just wanted to know about Mas Bayu, Nayla told her mother-in-law.

Ms. Ratmi sighed. He can't force Nayla and Bayu to tell him. 

"Trauma Bayu is back. He can't fly at the moment. Even he couldn't get into the elevator" Ms Ratmi told Nayla by phone.

Nayla was shocked to hear her husband's condition. He blames himself now.

Then, how is Mas Bayu now, Mom? ask Nayla back.

"Didn't you want to see it? He consulted and went to the doctor. Hopefully he recovers quickly like that. Hufft actually recovered because of you. After meeting you, the trauma disappeared instantly. Now, when you ask for a divorce, the trauma comes back again" Ms Ratmi said.

Now Nayla feels guilty. He was confused as to how. The happiness and freedom he wanted was one step away. But unfortunately he was again feeling selfish at this moment.

Well ma'am, I'll be there tomorrow Nayla said.

After that, they ended their phone call. Ms. Ratmi smiled at Calista and gently rubbed her hair. 

Ms. Ratmi informs Bayu of Nayla's planned arrival to meet her. Bayu firmly rejected it. He only wants to see Nayla if Nayla returns to him and undoes her intention to ask for a divorce from him.

Not because Bayu hated Nayla, but suddenly he felt insecure in front of Nayla. If Nayla annulles their divorce, Bayu can still be confident in her presence. But if Nayla stays with her desire for a divorce, she really doesn't have the confidence to see him.

Finally, Ms. Ratmi could not persuade Bayu. He informs Nayla of Bayu's decision regarding Nayla's arrival there.

Unfortunately, Nayla's decision was unanimous. He confirmed the word Calista. And he obeyed what his daughter said. With that he decided not to pay a visit to the residence of Bayu, Calista and Bu Ratmi.

The days also change. Nayla's divorce proceedings and the baby's over. They are now officially divorced. 

During that time, Nayla always avoided Devan. He knew that Devan had already divorced Liana with the demands of Liana's abundant treasure. Devan complies with Liana's request with the agreement that she will not interfere with Devan's life again.

And all this time also Nayla returned to work in another place with the same profession. It has been months since their divorce, Nayla and Devan have only occasionally communicated through messages. 

Nayla is off from work this morning. He looked at the clear sky. And that made him think of Devan.

He immediately retrieves the phone in his pocket and sends a message to Devan.

We're leaving now.

Not long after, a notification message sounded from Nayla's phone. He saw the message which was a reply from Devan.

Nayla smiled and sent her a reply.

After that they both got ready to travel according to their promises. 

Nayla does not want to meet Devan. He wanted to convince his heart of his feelings. If he feels confident in his heart, he will invite Devan to meet and travel together.

And now Nayla has clearly felt her feelings. He chose Devan and refused to re-refer along with Bayu.

During this time Nayla and Calista always communicate through telephone and messages every day. Ms. Ratmi also persuaded Nayla to re-reflect with Bayu.

The more days Calista the more difficult to contact because he was busy with his activities. Moreover, he had already joined the school football team. Nayla can see the happiness of Calista's face when they are making a video call.

Bayu can fly back. He manages to overcome his trauma without Nayla nearby.

Nayla no longer blames herself. Things are getting better again. And now it was time for her to decide her heart to choose.

Nayla and Devan are in a rural village in a mountainous area. They enjoy their journey and their togetherness.

Suddenly Devan knelt before Nayla and took out a small box with a ring inside, saying,

"Nay, do you want to marry me?" 

Nayla was flabbergasted at what Devan was doing at the moment. His eyes glazed over with Devan's treatment which also saw seriousness in his eyes.

Nayla nodded her head in response,

"Yes, I want to."

Devan smiled happily. He stood up and put the ring on Nayla's finger. He hugged the body of the woman he loved so much. Then he said,

"I love you Nayla."

Nayla returned Devan's embrace tightly, saying,

"I love you too Devan."

They both found her love. The feelings they feel when together they never feel when together with their ex-partner.

And one thing that makes Nayla sure to accept Devan. Calista will not refuse Devan to be a papa. Nayla knows that Devan is the ideal papa figure in Calista's eyes. And Calista told him that.

Now they have begun a new chapter in their lives in the hope of happiness that will always accompany their families.

Nayla and Devan will be a very happy and abundant couple of love and affection.
