Chapter 27 Become Calista's close friend

Nayla sighed heavily after telling her husband about her current whereabouts. 

Of course Bayu is very angry to hear that his daughter skipped school and is now having fun with her mother.

Moreover, Bayu heard from Nayla himself if he had resigned from his job starting today.

Bayu was so angry that after hearing the words of his wife, immediately switched off the phone call.

"Why Ma? Must be a call from Papa, huh?" ask Calista while eating her ice cream.

Nayla turned her head towards Calista who was sitting next to her. Then he sighed and said,

"It looks like your father is very angry."

"It was definitely Ma. So, what would your mom do?" ask Calista back.

Nayla seemed to think. After that his smile expanded and said,

"Mama doesn't care about Papa's nagging. If he punishes us, we better just run away like today. We've had fun all day."

Calista laughed at her mother's words. Just this time he saw his mother that brave. Usually his mother just obeyed every papa ordered him.

"Well, Mama is cool" Calista said, giving her thumbs up to her mother.

Nayla chuckles at the praise from Calista who seems funny in her opinion. Then he said,

"Where are we going?" 

Calista's eyes turned around thinking of the answer to the question posed by his mother. Then he said,

"Mmm... How about we ride another vehicle until this place closed Ma? After that we went to the hospital to see Grandma."

Nayla smiled and nodded her head at the wishes of her son. He also felt more free and free from the pressure he had been feeling.

While Bayu who was visiting his mother in the hospital, he felt very upset with his wife and child.  Until he was unceasingly nagging and blaming everything on his wife.

"What's Bayu? Why do you look so upset like that?" ms Ratmi asked Bayu who had just sat next to her bed.

Bayu looks very upset. He breathed and said,

"Nayla resigns from her job. And now he's walking around with Caca without his permission at school."

"Raca skipped school?" asked Bu Ratmi who looked surprised to hear what Bayu said to her.

Bayu nodded his head. His face that looks upset it makes his mother know if the child is angry with the child and his wife.

Ms. Ratmi sighed. He had not expected that his daughter-in-law was so careless.

"I'm leaving now Mom. Mom doesn't have to worry. My mother's operation wasn't a major operation. Mother will be fine," said Bayu as he moved from his seat.

Ms. Ratmi just shook her head looking at the attitude of her son and his family who were unceasingly fussing about the Calista school.

After being satisfied with all the rides in the amusement park, Calista finally decided to take Nayla to visit her grandmother.

This is where they were, in a hospital room where Ms Ratmi was treated.

The two of them sat before Bu Ratmi who was staring at them with a look of horror.

Just like Bayu, Ms. Ratmi asked Nayla about her decision to resign from her job. Not only that, Ms. Ratmi also nagged Nayla and Calista who dared to skip school.

Ms. Ratmi folded her hands in front of her chest. He stared disappointedly at Nayla and Calista alternately as he said,

Instantly Nayla and Calista lowered their heads simultaneously. They did not dare to refute or interrupt the words and scolding of Ms. Ratmi.

After all, Ms. Ratmi is someone older than them and they should respect her.

"Hufffttt..in an hour we're in there Ma, surely we'll pass out on the spot. It felt like the air was stuffy there" Calista said as he walked out of the hospital.

Nayla chuckles at the words of Calista. He rubbed his daughter's hair gently and said,

"I think Mama wanted to get out right then and there."

They both laughed together. Just this time Nayla felt very close like a friend to Calista. Usually she is only considered like a mother by Calista.

But today he felt it all. He felt very comfortable listening to the story and complained from Calista. And he can also feel how lonely Calista does not have close friends and friends share stories and complaints all along.

Only Keyla could become close friends to share her stories and grievances at the time. And after only a few months they were together, Keyla left him.

It was certain that such a great sense of loss was felt by Calista. Starting from there he was reluctant again to go to school in a place that requires living in a dormitory.

"We should go home now, Mama has not done homework" Nayla said, holding Calista's hand.

"Mama is afraid of being scolded by Grandma, is Grandma home?" ask Calista while chuckling.

Arriving home, Calista immediately prepared her textbooks for school tomorrow. After that he learned the lessons taught today.

As for Nayla, she immediately cleaned the house and washed all the dirty clothes in the laundry basket.

In the laundry room, Nayla puts all the dirty clothes into the washing machine. Then he sat in front of the washing machine while enjoying a cup of coffee he had just made.

The tiredness and fatigue he felt all day felt a little reduced. He slowly inhaled the aroma of coffee to calm him down.

Suddenly the sound of the phone ringing was heard from his phone. Immediately taken from the pocket of the cell phone pants.

His lips curved upwards when he saw the name of the caller on his phone screen.

He immediately received the call as if impatiently listening to the voice of the caller.

"Halo Dev" said Nayla, beginning their conversation.

Nay, how are you today? Is your work exhausting? I'm not sure I can last seven days not to see you. Am I being selfish? Devan's voice sounded sad on the phone.

Nayla smiled wryly at the words from Devan. Then he said,

"I'm not leaving Dev. I quit my job. I spent the whole day with Caca at the amusement park."

Devan's face suddenly shone. He seemed to have regained his energy at this moment. Then he said,

Can we meet now?

"Emmm. I'm tired, we better just talk on the phone" Nayla replied quickly.

Devan, who had been standing with his car keys, sat back down immediately after hearing Nayla's rejection. Then he said,

What are you doing now?

"I was washing clothes while enjoying coffee" Nayla replied with a chuckle.

Emmm... Nay, have you ever thought about separating from your husband? devan asked who sounded doubtful on the phone.
