Chapter 24 The Callista

In the taxi, Nayla could no longer think clearly. He could only think of Devan. Somehow, reading a message from him made Nayla imagine the tears of Devan whose crying voice was very heartbreaking.

It was not that he did not think of Calista being his top priority, even he was ill at the moment. It's just that Calista's condition has improved and Nayla is sure that Calista will be fine. He was sure that Calista would sleep well until he came home later.

After a while, the taxi Nayla was riding in front of Devan's restaurant. He immediately ran to the restaurant after paying for the taxi.

The restaurant is locked. Even Nayla could not open the door of the restaurant even though she tried her hardest by moving the door handle.

Fortunately, there was a ladder next to the restaurant on the top floor.

He saw the room upstairs that was still on. Then he said,

"It looks like it's his office. Devan must be in there."

Without waiting any longer, Nayla climbed the stairs to reach the room on the top floor where the lights were still on.

"Come in. The door is not locked, just open it," exclaimed Devan from inside the room.

He dissolved in his thoughts and sadness to not realize if at that time the restaurant was closed. He thought that the one who knocked on the door was one of the employees in the cafe.

He is aware that he has sent a message to Nayla, but he does not expect much of Nayla to come. He knew that Nayla would definitely use Calista's excuse not to come see him. Because she knows that Nayla is a good mother.

Devan's door was knocked back from the outside.

Devan was forced to walk to the door to open it.

His eyes widened when he found the figure of the woman he wanted to meet.

As quickly as lightning Devan's hand pulled Nayla's hand and carried her into the room.

The door of the room was also closed. Devan hugged Nayla's body tightly and Nayla's hand returned Devan's embrace. They hugged each other tightly.

Feeling that the woman in his arms did not reject him, Devan parsed his embrace and he landed his lips on Nayla's lips.

Nayla did not reject the kiss. Their lips intertwined with each other, as if channeling their feelings.

The kiss was long and very hot. They seem to forget that they have a partner somewhere else.

Their minds were filled with their hearts and feelings. Nayla and Devan are both disappointed in their respective partners. Now they have found people who make them comfortable and understand themselves.

They both enjoyed the kiss so much that they thought nothing of it. They were two adults who also needed someone to understand their feelings.

Elsewhere, at Bayu's mother's house, Alvian waits for Calista in her room. He was busy playing the football game that was on his phone.

Calista really slept well. Even he didn't know if Alvian was nearby.

Usually he would be very happy if he met Alvian. And of course he will invite his omnya to play ball with him, and ask him to teach the techniques of playing football.

After a while Alvian waited inside Calista's room, there was the sound of a door opening.

"That must be Nayla's sister" Alvian said after stopping the game.

 

Alvian immediately came out of Calista's room to meet her brother who she thought had just arrived.

Alvian suddenly stopped and his face became tense when he saw someone in front of him.

"Yes. Sister Nayla asked me to look after Caca," replied Alvian a little nervously.

"Where is your brother going to these nights?" ask the person while frowning his forehead.

"Emmm. It looks like sister Nayla is going to her house. Maybe he took something," replied Alvian who was getting nervous.

"Yes, I'm going back home to see your brother" said the man, turning his body around.

"Sir Bayu. You better stay here to take care of Caca. He is sick, surely he needs his papa more than his omnya," said Alvian trying to stop Bayu who will leave the house.

Bayu stopped his steps. He turned his back to face his sister-in-law.

"If Caca is sick, her mother should be nearby. Why is he even going out these nights?" said Bayu who intends to refuse to wait for Calista.

"Sir Nayla is in your house. Maybe he took the things he needed. It's better for Bayu to be here with Calista while waiting for Nayla to come back here" Alvian said as he rushed to the door.

"Alvian, you're here. Let Brother pick up your brother at home there," said Bayu who sounded very objected to being in the house.

Unfortunately Alvian pretended not to hear it. She immediately got out of the house and tried to contact her brother.

"Sister Nay, quickly pick up. Brother where? Sis Bayu is here. He looks angry to hear that Brother is not home" Alvian said, trying to contact Nayla.

Many times he contacted his brother, unfortunately all his phone calls were just missed calls.

Alvian sighed seeing dozens of times she contacted Nayla but none of her phone calls were answered by her brother.

On his way home, on foot he sent a message to his brother.

Of course his brother did not reply to him. Until he prayed that his brother would no longer get scolding from Bayu.

At her mother's house, Bayu is now waiting for Calista while watching television in the living room. She faintly heard a whimpering voice.

"Water... water... Mama.. water..," said Calista unconsciously.

Bayu walked up to Calista's room and saw her daughter deliriously asking her mother for water.

With malasnya Bayu fetch water for his daughter.

"Ca, Caca. This is the drink" said Bayu flat while giving a glass of water in front of his daughter's face.

"Water.. Mama.. Om Alvin. Mama.

"This is the water, drink it," said Bayu in front of Calista's face while showing the drink he was carrying.

"Mama... water..Mama.Om Alvin. water," said Calista who was delirious back in front of his papa.

"What about Papa? It's Papa who gets the drink" asked Bayu who tried to protest against Calista because his name was not mentioned.

"Mom.Of Alvin..-"

"Papa. What about Papa?" tanya Bayu interrupted Calista who was delirious.

"Mama. Om Alvin. Kak Keyla." said Calista who was still delirious.

"You're kidding me, aren't you? You must not be sleeping. You didn't mention Papa because you heard Papa didn't you?" say Bayu with his regret.

"Mama.. Om Alvin. Granny.. Kak Keyla. air...," said Calista again delirious make Bayu more upset because his name was not mentioned by his daughter while delirious.
