Chapter 43 Trying to find

Bayu was still thinking with all the words from Liana. He tried to ignore everything Liana said to him.

However, everything that was said and all the messages from Liana was always ringing in his mind.

"It looks like I have to meet them after this flight," Bayu said after sighing that felt a little tight because it was always ringing Liana's words.

Today Bayu only makes one day flight. After that, he got a holiday.

Bayu intends after his flight it will visit his son and wife. He sends a message to Nayla to give her the address of where she lives with Calista.

However, after a few minutes, Nayla did not return the message, so Bayu sent a message to Calista asking for their address.

Bayu looked at the circular watch on his left hand. He sighed again in annoyance at not getting a reply from the message he sent to his son and wife.

He immediately turned off his phone as the plane was about to take off.

In a different place, Nayla felt confused and anxious after reading the message sent by her husband. She deliberately didn't reply to him because she was confused as to how he would give the address to her husband.

It was highly unlikely if she gave her real address to her husband.

"How's this? Mas Bayu must be very angry if he finds out that Caca and I live in the village. Especially if he knows where we live and Caca's school. What am I supposed to do?" muttered Nayla who was walking back and forth while thinking.

While at school, suddenly Calista's phone vibrated before the entrance bell rang. Calista also saw the message sent by his father. He did not reply to the message because he was also afraid that his father would come to them and was angry that his mother lied about his school.

"Huuufffttt. I better just turn off this HP," Calista said, turning off his phone.

And so did Nayla. For several minutes she had not come up with an idea to reply to her husband's message.

"I'd better just turn off this HP" Nayla said as her hand moved to turn off her phone.

After that he put his phone in his bag and put it in his closet.

"Huuuffftttt. I hope everything will be fine" Nayla said after sighing.

Then he rushed out of his room to immediately head for the tea plantation where he was making his living at the moment.

The clear weather on this day was not as bright as Nayla's heart and mind. His heart and mind were uncomfortable. It was clearly visible on Nayla's face that described the many problems in her mind at the moment.

"Is there a problem with Nay?" ask a middle-aged woman who is Nayla's co-worker.

Nayla smiled at him and shook her head as she said,

"No Ma'am."

The woman scrunched her forehead as if she did not believe Nayla's answer. Then he said,

"Then, why does your face say otherwise? It seems you are facing a lot of trouble."

Nayla held her face and fumbled as if to find out what was on her face.

The woman chuckles at Nayla's behavior which feels very funny for Nayla's current age. Then he said,

"There's nothing on your face, Nay. You stay pretty. Mom was just kidding. Let's get our work done, so we can get home soon."

After the afternoon, Nayla came home from her job. As usual, he passed the football field to pick up Calista. And sure enough, Calista was there.

Nayla sees Calista looking very happy playing ball together with her male friends. Then he said,

"How can I take that smile, laughter and happiness away from him? He has not enjoyed his life according to his age. Do I have to take away her days that she enjoys so much as now?"

Nayla was still standing and looking from the edge of the field. He noticed every move Calista is indeed reliable among others. He deeply regrets Calista's talent that has no place to channel it.

"I'll figure out a way to protect Caca's happiness. I had to hang on and find a way to protect her" Nayla said, with her eyes still on her daughter.

"Mama!" calista shouted while waving his hand at Nayla.

"Let's go home Ca!"

Calista nodded and said goodbye to his friends. After that they walked together with their hands and swung their arms as usual.

After cleaning her body, Calista sat down near her mother and said,

"Ma, Papa sent me a message. Papa asked us the address of our current residence. How's Ma? What are we supposed to do? Caca was sure Papa would be angry if he found out that we both live in villages and houses like this. Moreover, Caca school is just an ordinary school in the village."

Nayla who was taking rice for Calista, now stopped her movement. He looked at his daughter and said,

"Then, what did you say to your father?"

"Caca didn't answer anything Ma. Caca just turn off the HP," Calista replied with a big smile on her mother.

Nayla smiled and gently rubbed Calista's hair. Then he said,

"Actually Mama also got a message from Papa. Your father asked you the same thing that was asked of you. And my mom didn't answer either. Even Mama's HP is still dead today."

"So Mama also turned off Mama's HP?" asked Calista who seemed to not believe his hearing.

Nayla nodded her head and smiled at her daughter and said,

"Well how else? I don't know what to answer."

They also laughed together to imagine Bayu who was angry because he could not contact the two of them.

The next day, Bayu who had just come out of the airport saw the cell phone in his pocket. He sighed as there was no reply from his son and wife to the message he sent yesterday.

"Why are they both so compact as not to reply to my message? Did they both come back? Or maybe what the lady said yesterday was all true? But it is very unlikely that a Nayla can cheat," said Bayu with a smile at the end of his speech.

However, Bayu's smile was bitter when it crossed back Liana's words yesterday about Nayla's affair with Devan.

"I'd better get there. I'll go to the address the woman gave me" Bayu muttered as he pulled his suitcase towards his car.

Arriving at home, he immediately cleaned his body and changed his clothes. 

He walked into the kitchen to find food. Open the fridge to see what you can eat. Unfortunately, there was nothing that he could eat.

"I'd better eat on the street" said Bayu as his hand closed the fridge.

Bayu drives his car according to the GPS direction that shows the direction to the address given by Liana.

He grumbled along the way. The streets there are not as smooth as in the city. Even many livestock that disturb the streets enter the village.

"Where should I look?" ask Bayu with a pity.

Suddenly he saw some children walking in school uniforms and carrying his school bag.

"I ask them where the international school is located" Bayu monologued to himself.

He got out of his car that was parked on the side of the road.

"Excuse me adek, I want to ask," said Bayu stopped the school children who walked in front of him.

They all looked back to face the person who asked them.

"Papa?!" chirp Calista unconsciously.
