“Tenace. I know it.” David smiled calmly. “While the photo doesn't show the whole room, I still see Alex's legs wrapped in bandages. I don't know why you could be next to Alex, but I'm guessing you were visiting Alex back then.”

Amelia breathed a sigh of relief. That means his relationship with David will be fine. Now he understands why Alex is so sure Levina knows how he is. Apparently everyone knows everything, only Amelia knows nothing. Now Amelia wondered if Alex was also involved in the shooting. However, Amelia forgot that thought immediately. However, the injury Alex got was caused by him.

“Please forget all that,” pinta Amelia.

“What?”

“About Levina's slander. I know Levina created this problem, but Alex has helped me a lot. Even the wound on his leg was caused by me. His leg was hit by a car while helping me who was about to get hit by a car.”

“What?! Why didn't you tell me before?! Are you hurt too?!” David was worried.

“Of course I'm fine. That's why Alex's leg was injured.”

David breathed a sigh of relief. If Amelia gets hurt, she will regret it for blaming Amelia for so many things.

“Levina is Alex's fiancee. She is the woman Alex loves. So please forget all the problems that have happened between the four of us before and establish a new life of peace,” added Amelia asked.

As David did before, David would do anything to please Amelia, even if it was against her pleasure. David agreed to forget all the problems that had happened so far. Even though she knew more than Amelia knew.

“Hai, David. How are you?” greet Alex. Then he hobbled off in a cane and sat directly on the sofa in front of David's desk before David could.

“With what I have, how could I not be okay? As you can see: I'm fine.” David spread out both his hands and prided himself. “But it seems you're the one who's not okay.” Ah, really David. He could not forget his insinuation.

“A few days ago a car hit me. Looks like Lia already told you her full story.”

“Of course not. He doesn't even know the full story. He doesn't even know who the person who hit you, rather the person who almost hit him.”

“David.” Alex's face became serious. He began to feel uneasy.

“You should have acted to catch that guy, but you made me not be able to find any trace of Lia. That means you've covered the tracks of the three of you: you, Lia, and that person. You have no reason to cover your tracks and Lia's. Then there is only one option left, that person. Who is he?” David's face became serious. He threw an intimidating look.
