20. Surrender

Amelia who gets a call from her boss through Chris becomes agitated. The trumpet was apparently blown. The end will be upon him alone.

Despite her fear, Amelia still accepted the call. Sooner or later he won't be able to avoid it.

“Excuse me, Boss,” he said after knocking on the door twice.

“Please enter,” said Alex welcome.

Amelia came in. But not once did he lift his head. He just looked down.

“Why are you still working so hard like that?” ask Alex.

“I'm still working here. Therefore I will still work hard as usual,” replied Amelia.

“Not that you should have sent me a resignation letter?”

Amelia's hopes were completely dashed. His hard work could not even persuade Alex. His boss has asked for his resignation. Amelia knelt down.

While Amelia knelt down, Alex stood up immediately. She is shocked by Amelia's actions, but she doesn't know why Amelia did it.

“What are you doing?” ask Alex.

“Please don't fire me. I can work harder than this,” pinta Amelia.

Amelia's plea even left Alex flabbergasted with her gaping mouth. Before long, Alex laughed. Apparently Amelia had misunderstood him.

“Wake!” alex's Word.

Amelia shook her head. He stays in his position. “I will not stand until the Boss wants to change the decision,” said Amelia firmly.

Amelia said the next thing made Alex want to get out, but he held her back. Amelia's current behavior makes her want to jail. However, after seeing Amelia in a sad position, Alex undoes his intentions.

“If I change my decision, it means you want me to fire?”

Amelia looked up straight away. “What do you mean, Boss?” tanyakanya.

Amelia frowned. Alex said it very clearly, but Amelia took a long time to swallow the sentence well.

“Lalu ...” Amelia woke up. He approached Alex and held his hand. “Thank you, Boss,” he said very happy.

Alex is still flabbergasted. She doesn't believe Amelia really thought she would fire him. He took Amelia's hand off her.

“Why do you think I'll fire you?” ask Alex.

Amelia recalled what had happened between her and David in the car earlier. “Nothing,” answers hide the truth. He shouldn't have said that to Alex. “Because you told me to hand over my resignation letter, I thought you were going to fire me.”

“Of course, no. Why should I fire my harshest worker?” Alex laughed again. “Without me firing you, won't you come out by yourself later?”

Amelia's lips dropped. His happiness instantly collapsed. “Why should I get out?!” yells. For a moment he was silent. He knows who he is talking to. He also lowered his voice. “I never thought like that,” he said.

“Really?” Alex could not believe it. “I thought you were going out. You're the candidate for Lady Arya.”

“Mrs Arya?” amelia asked repeating Alex's words.

“You're David's girlfriend. David won't let you work here in the next few days.”

“Why is that?”

“Do you ask because you really don't know?”

Amelia nodded her head.

“David is the heir to the Aryan family, one of the richest families in Indonesia. He would not likely let his girlfriend remain a servant because he would not marry a servant. I'll be like that too.”

“But I'm not her boyfriend,” Amelia said correcting.

“Not?” ask Alex to convince.

Amelia shook her head. “Not.”
