Amelia didn't believe that easily. David clearly admired his brother.
“Didn't you love him so much?” ask Amelia.
“It's true. I loved her so much that I thought the affection I gave her all my life would be enough to make me a priority in her life. But, no. My love was given to me by someone new to my life. Finally he killed himself.”
Amelia is still curious about the continuation of the story of David's brother. The ending she has makes Amelia interested in the story behind it. Eventually Amelia forgot about it. The past is not a proud story to tell. Even a smile no longer filled David's face.
“Good. It's okay if you still don't trust me. But we have to wake up now.” Amelia shifted the topic of her conversation.
“Why? Are you in a hurry to do something?” David felt tight.
“Not me, but you. You should go to work immediately.”
David breathed a sigh of relief. “No. I'm not going to work today. I still want to be with you.”
“You have to work. It's not a holiday.”
“Colah. I still want to hug you.” David again tightened his embrace. “I've been out of work for a few days. So what difference does it make if I don't work for a few more days.”
“No, David. You have to work!” reject Amelia. He tried to encourage David to let go of his embrace.
“How about we move to the room only? Last night we haven't done anything,” bargained David. He tried to shift the subject.
“Of course we didn't do anything because you didn't want to stop kissing me for hours.”
“So should we do it now?”
David smiled a smile. Unknowingly, Amelia has taken advantage of her happiness. Suddenly David was knocked off the couch. He fell to the floor. Brak!
“Awh!” David grimaced in pain.
Amelia, the perpetrator of the impetus, he even put on an innocent and haughty face.
“No!” he said after he woke up. “Because you have to find me money so I can stay with you.”
“What do you mean you'll leave me again?” David's face became serious. Amelia was just joking.
David sat down next to Amelia. Then she hugged Amelia from the side and placed her head on Amelia's shoulder.
“That makes me even less willing to leave you alone without me,” said David.
“Trusting someone is scary, but we still need a reason not to trust that person,” Amelia said.
David immediately let go of his embrace. Then he looked at Amelia. “But you have that excuse,” reply David.
David's right. Amelia did not deserve to say that advice to David. Many times Amelia has betrayed David's trust.
Amelia grabbed David's hand and hugged him inside both palms. “Then give me one more chance,” pinta Amelia.
“What opportunity?”
“Give you a reason to trust me.”
“How about you finally let go of that opportunity?”
“Then give me one more chance.”
“Why should I do it?”
“Because you love me and will do whatever pleases me.
Actually what David doesn't believe in Amelia isn't what Amelia thinks she is. Not distrust, but David was afraid of the reality that he had to believe. The fact of how Amelia even met Alex after running from him. Even though Amelia and Alex are not really playing behind him, it's still that David is not a useful person until Amelia isn't quite with him.
After getting the offer, David finally willing to wake up and immediately prepare to go to work. Without David realizing it, when David accepted the offer, it meant that he had trusted someone.
Arriving in front of his study, David sees his secretary who looks happy at the arrival of his return and greets him. David did not speak for long. He immediately went to his own room.
After David was lost by the door, the secretary turned on her phone to contact someone.
“Halo, Mister,” said he greeted someone behind the phone call. “Master David is finally back. He smiled very cheerfully. Looks like the woman has returned.”
