25. Breakup 1

Before going home, as usual Amelia took her bag in the drawer. He suddenly did not take his bag and closed his drawer. Then he stood leaning against the drawer.

David had noticed his attitude changing. The man will ask, but what should Amelia say to answer him?

“I see you.”

Amelia. Apparently Emma was picking up her own bag in Amelia's side drawer.

“Now you guys have really looked like friends,” added Emma while emphasizing the word ‘like’. Then he left Amelia.

Amelia was upset. He did all this because of Emma's words. However, the woman continued to judge him without helping or at least providing solutions.

Amelia didn't want to see David. But he will not be able to run away. David is a god.

In front of David's car, Amelia repeatedly regulated her breathing. But he never felt enough. He had to look calm, but he kept feeling out of air.

David's car is open. Amelia could not back down. He finally came in.

“Hai,” greet Amelia while raising one hand, as if a friend who rarely met. Though he met David not until half an hour ago. That attitude really shows the difference in attitude towards Amelia.

David was not touched. His face is still cold.

“What happened?” ask David.

“What happened?” Amelia's confused. He's starting to feel tense. “What has happened?” Amelia smiled forcefully. He even laughed softly to hide his awkwardness.

“Why now do you always refuse my help?” Finally David was honest.

“Tapi—“

“Oh, yes. Starting tomorrow don't pick me up after work again, will you? You must be tired after work too. You can pick me up every day off.”

David felt sorry for asking Amelia for a change in attitude. Had she remained indifferent, she would not have noticed something Amelia had hidden, and she would not have gone any further with the woman.

David's hand was raised. He's gonna hit the wheel of his car. Suddenly he lowered his hand slowly as Amelia was still beside him.

All the way home, the car was filled with silence. Amelia was silent because of her awkwardness and David was silent because of his regret.

David disagrees with Amelia's request. Even so, she ended up doing as Amelia wanted. If he forced again, it could be that the woman would create even more distance.

Somehow David could love women to this extent. This is not David's attitude: to allow himself to be humbled by other people. Now he just kept lying and allowed himself to be trampled by that lowly thief.

Finally the long-awaited weekend for David has arrived. To meet Amelia, she had to wait for seven days. It was a long time for him. He can understand that because he's just a friend to Amelia.

The beautiful day will begin by meeting the woman he missed, then taking the woman for a walk after asking for permission to go home from work early. It was the perfect short plan. Unfortunately it won't really happen …

… Because David is just a friend to Amelia.

After entering the restaurant, David sat on one of the chairs, then waved his hand to Amelia.

After a long time of not meeting, the appearance of the hand wave made Amelia feel happy, as if something empty had been filled. He quickly walked up to David without caring about his other work.
