MY LOVE ENDS WITH YOU

(NARITA POV) SHE'S GONE SUDDENLY

When Alin reminded me of the difference between me and Davis. We just kept quiet.

Spontaneously I threw my face in the other direction. But as my gaze passed through Davis's face, I saw her smile a little.

What does Davis smile mean??

At 13:00 Davis said goodbye, we went out of the cafe. Ever since Alin said the difference between me and Davis, it was as if we were awkward. Along the way to my apartment, we only chatted around, even crisp chatter.

In the middle of the trip, someone called Davis. Then he picked up his phone and spoke in English using earphones. But no matter how serious, until Davis marginalized his car, get out of the car. There seems to be a conversation that I don't want to know. He's been getting calls long enough.

“Sorry Na, so wait” Davis re-entered the car.

“Owh gakpapa” replied I smiled.

The rest of the trip, we both fell silent. I turned my eyes to the left window. In my heart I wondered who had just called. Why did he instantly turn silent with such a hard-to-understand expression.

We got our car in the parking lot of my apartment.

“Vis, I'm first. Thank you for bringing me” he smiled and nodded.

“Sorry can not take you to the front of the room” said after I got out of the car and was about to close the door. But I didn't answer, I just smiled and shook my head.

“Assalamu’alaikum” voice quietly Davis started the greeting, making me who was about to slam the car door instead frowned.

“What Vis?” I was afraid of hearing wrong.

“If anyone says hello, dong Na!” replied

“Assalamu’alaikum” Davis again said a gentle greeting.

“Wa'alaikum” I replied. At first I saw him who even frowned, but finally returned a sweet smile once, then I immediately closed the car door.

On Thursday last week, we were scheduled for a meeting with the operations and finance department led by the President Director. I have prepared the materials to be delivered and some questions that we will convey to the operational section.

Me and Mr. Al has arrived at the meeting room on the 10th floor. The Secretary-General immediately invited us to wait in the meeting room. A few minutes later the Director of Operations and several managers entered the meeting room.

The Secretary came back in and looked at us one by one, and then he left the room. Not waiting for how long, Rio came with the Secretary-General behind him.

“Meet this time, I lead. Mr. Dav out of the country, there is an urgent need” Rio start our meeting.

I was quite surprised to hear that Davis was out of the country, because we were still together and he didn't discuss anything at all.

The meeting was quite short. 

After leaving the meeting room, I approached Secretary Davis' desk.

“Kak, Alin is there?” ask Secretary Davis. I don't know what's on my mind, I just want to find out why Davis left the country all of a sudden.

“Nothing, Na. He is the one who accompanied Mr. Dav's out of the country. Office affairs in Indonesia are temporarily held by Mr. Rio. What's up Na?” I was surprised when I asked Alin. 

“Owh. There's nothing, brother!” I answered briefly and I left.

“Na!” call her later and I turn my body around immediately.

“You know Mr.'s fiancee. Dav?” 

“Tacto?” i cringe.

“Alin” firmly later. 

“He's really Mr.'s fiancee. Dav?” Secretary Davis came up to me and said it in a whisper.

“Do not know me Brother. We know the rumors are also from Kakan”

“That's because she introduced herself as her fiancee” she sat back down.

“But I'm not sure. Mr.Dav if he's a bitch. It's not worth treating a fiancee. But I'm sebel. He always sticks with Mr. Dav!” The secretary said it a little bit as though she was jealous.

“Don't say Brother likes Mr. Dav?” I walked up to him as if investigating him and he was jolted at my question.

“Eng. You misunderstood, Na!” he stuttered and turned his gaze to the file on his desk as if avoiding being met with my eyes. I smiled at Secretary Davis' behavior.

“Okay sister, I'm back!” pamitku and he just replied with a nod.

No wonder so many people like Davis. He has visual appeal, plus smart, assertive, and attention that makes someone easily misunderstood. He is sometimes cold, indifferent, and arrogant, but when he feels close to someone, he will be a warm and caring figure.

When I got to my desk, I sent a message to Davis.

Me: Davis, Rio said you're out of the country? There is a sudden need. Are you okay?

I see my message has not been sent. I put my phone down and went back to work.

When the break came, my phone light was flashing. I'll grab it and open it. It turns out the message from the group genk who invites to have lunch together. I went back to the message I sent to Davis. Still tick 1.

In the afternoon when I was about to go home from work, I opened the message again. It still ticks 1. What happened to Davis? Work or personal business?

While I was lying down while watching a Korean drama, my phone rang. My smile broke when Davis' name appeared on the call.

“Hallo” without waiting for the second ring to ring, I immediately picked up the phone.

“Assalamu’alaikum, Na. Get used to the greetings, Na!” Davis reminded.

“Wa’alaikum”

“Kok answered it like doang?”

“Already. How's Na, office news?”

“Vis, it is precisely me who should be, why are you suddenly out of the country?” ask me with a panic note.

“You're okay right?”

“Why not know me?”

“Office business or any personal affairs?” I also asked him a lot of questions.

“Wah wow,, just a day did not meet you already over protected. I'd be smart, Na if you're rich gini!” not answering my question, he teased me.

“Moving to video call yes!” doors later.

“Iya” my answer is short.

Finally we chatted while looking at the faces on the screens of each phone. Long and long conversations do not bore us, even as distance makes us feel more in need of each other. Until we both fell asleep when the video was still on.

The next morning when I woke up, my phone was dead. Maybe last night until the batrenya weak and finally die. I remember my conversation with Davis. I just remembered that our old conversation didn't answer my question, why Davis had suddenly left the country. Ahh it's so stupid of me, the smart Davis that it's so easy to divert the conversation material that I don't realize it.
