Today I came home sooner because both my parents and opa were at home. After dinner, I accompanied Karen to sleep in her room. Even though I've been with her, Karen still asks Narita to accompany her as well.

As I read the storybook of the prophet to him, Narita's phone suddenly rang. At a glance he glanced at his phone then said “Excuse me sir, I received the phone first!”

"Don't go, Nanny Na! It was a video call from Daffa and Dafina right?” karen cried before Narita could move.

I don't know the name Karen mentioned. I glanced at Narita hoping to get an explanation from him.

“Iya” replied Narita while looking at me.

“Here alone nan, I want to see them also” Karen immediately woke up from her sleeping position and then pulled Narita's hand and asked her to sit back in bed.

I still watch them both. Until now I saw him still hesitant to answer the phone until the ringing stopped.

“Yes,,,stop!” the look on Karen's face was disappointed when she found out Narita's phone was no longer ringing. Narita and I looked at each other.

“Yey,,,ayo lift nan!” Karen was excited when she heard Narita's phone ring back.

Narita looked at me as if asking for my approval and I just nodded in a sign giving her consent.

“Assalamu’alaikum dear” greet Narita after she received the video call. Karen was no less enthusiastic, she immediately sat on Narita's lap and looked at Narita's phone.

“Wa’alaikum greetings. Unda, What is Pina kangen unda, when is unda puang?” the boy's voice on the phone used Indonesian, although I rarely used Bahasa Indonesia and the voice was difficult to understand, but I quite understood the meaning.

“Dear same, Mother also misses. The kids are all healthy, right? What did you play?”

“Sehat unda's. Pina naughty nie unda,, want to grab her hp. Ihh, do not Pina, Do you want to talk first the same olda, later replace!” there was a snatch sound, it seemed like there were 2 small children fighting over each other's cellphones.

I was still sitting at the other end of the bed. Pay close attention to the interaction on the phone and Karen's expression.

“Hi you guys, don't fight, Stop Stop” understands the capture situation across there, Karen also broke up even with English that they may not necessarily understand.

Until a while later, the phone has switched and the sound of an adult voice “Hadew nduk, this is even they are fighting mobile phones, even crying both”

“Hehe, they also miss you Karen” I was flattered to hear Narita's lies to Karen.

“What does he mean, nan?” karen asked and looked up at Narita's face.

“You have, if so, all come here. Is that Dad?" 

“Lho nduk, no,,?” Narita's mother spoke again but she did not continue her words.

“Owh yes already. Assalamu’alaikum”

“Wa’alaikum salam” Narita immediately put back his phone on the bedside nightstand.

“Sorry mister” I just nodded my head and pulled the tip of the mouth to the left and right simultaneously.

“Dad, nanny Na's family can come and stay at our house? Our house is big, the rooms are many?” now that Karen turned to approach me and sulked seducing me, I just smiled faintly and nodded.

After that, Narita went back to reading the story to Karen as I stroked her head gently. A few days later, Karen fell asleep.

Narita confirmed Karen's blanket position, then he turned off some of the nightstand lights. Meanwhile, I was still waiting for him outside the door.

A moment later, she was shocked when I said “You're married?”

“Astagfirullah, you surprised me”

“So your biological children?” ask again.

“Iya. Excuse me” then he was about to leave but I immediately blocked his hand. He glanced dislikely at my actions, and I realized my mistake I finally let go while saying “maaf”.

Now he's stepping away.

“Is it okay you left your children and husband for so long?” he stopped his steps suddenly.

“Did I not hear wrong, Sir? You ask me something personal?” he turned his head and looked at me sharply.

“I,,, I,,,” somehow suddenly I stammered.

“Excuse me” he returned back and stepped away.

“I just don't want to further like someone who has a family” somehow these words suddenly escaped from my mouth. He immediately turned back and looked at me.
