(NARITA POV) DINNER 2

After that, the receptionist gave him 2 room keys in one of the villas that I occupied.

 

Not long after, my phone rang.

“Assalamu’alaikum” I picked up my phone without looking at the screen who was calling me.

“Wa’alaikum greetings. Your order has arrived, hunt here!” a loud voice sounded from across there. I can only take a long breath.

“Iya” my answer is short. There's no way I'd refuse it to come, I just thought I was madzir with the food if no one spent it.

“Yuk returned to the dining table earlier, my order food has arrived!” I pulled back Daniel's arm and ignored the look on Daniel's confused face I had dragged him here and there.

 

I had gone back to the dining table, and I saw Davis and Jess had moved to a table set with so many chairs that it could fit a few people at the table.

“Sit” Davis told me to sit on the chair just to her left, while on the right there was Jess.

I also obey him. I'm still holding Daniel's arm, and I don't want Daniel and Arnold sitting next to me.

 

A moment later, the waitress arrives and offers dinner for Daniel and Arnold, while Jess's food has come.

“Eat, before it gets cold!” Davis re-ruled without seeing me, he was still indifferent and engrossed in his food.

“Sorry, I ate first yes!” for the sake of politeness I asked Daniel and Arnold for permission. They smiled and moved their hands to let me eat.

“Why new now to Balinya?” jess looked at Davis.

“I came here because of work, if not work what?” davis replied poke and bitch.

“Ckk” Jess pissed off many clucking.

“Unfortunately you in Jakarta already have a bedmate, so forget about me you used to sleep with!” jess' words spontaneously made all of us at the table choke together. But unlike Davis, he seems ordinary.

I ventured into Davis, but did not see any nervousness at all from his expression.

Then Jess stood up and brought her face closer to Davis seemingly whispering something. I just watched it a little bit from the corner of my eye.

 

After Jess's departure, we fell silent again, as if busy with our own food as we wandered with our own thoughts.

 

I remembered what Jess had just said. Davis did not dismiss Jess's words. I went back to thinking that the Davis I used to know was a lot different than the one I know today. Ahh maybe I'm the only one who thinks too much here. Isn't it common, frees** in western life huh?. Daniel, Arnold, Davis, Jess aren't as eastern as I am, so yeah that's normal for them.

 

“Never mind” Daniel answered.

“Na, later after eating, we take a walk!” take Daniel later.

“Boleh” answered.

“In the vicinity of Kuta many fun nightlife!” Davis again proposed somewhere.

“Narita doesn't like Club, Mr Dav.” Arnold replied later.

“It looks like you guys aren't limited to coworkers?” Davis looked at Arnold and Daniel in turn.

“Indeed we are friendly, Mr” replied Daniel.

“heh” Davis smiles smirk.

“Where is it the friendship of men and women!” we were silent again at the words of Mr. Dav.

“I've had a girlfriend. At first I thought of him as a friend, but because we felt comfortable we increased the status of the relationship to friendship. But what happened then?” Mr. Dav paused his talk, staring at us one by one.

“I love it” he continued.

I'm still stuck with this conversation. Honestly I don't really understand what that means, I'm afraid of misperception. If there is no misperception, what does it mean that Davis can sleep with women without a clear status relationship and without feelings???? “There is no such thing as male and female friendship!?”

“Hmmmm,,,,,” I'm confused how to say it. But honestly I want to answer there.

“You are sure when you are friends with men, one or both of you have felt something more than just friends?” tanyanya.

Ogh, that's right, sie. I was best friends with the three men who were in front of me, in fact I had fallen in love with Davis, and so did Daniel and Arnold once like me.
