DAVE POV
After hearing the news that Teddy had found the woman's identity, I immediately drove back to the office. Upon arrival at the office, I immediately asked the attendant to park my car and slightly run towards the elevator. Arriving in front of my room, I saw Teddy immediately stand up and greet me. I asked him to go straight into the room. Now we both sit on the couch in my office.
“What do you know Ted?” ask soon.
“This, sir!” Teddy handed me a map the size of a brown F4 paper, immediately I grabbed it, opened it, and looked at the documents inside.
“You sure this is all?” I just found photos of Davis along with the girl with the Indo face mixed.
“Iya, tuan”
“If only this, I already know, Ted” I threw the map that has been opened some of its contents on the table. I'm disappointed with Teddy's performance this time, why this is all he found.
“Do you suspect someone, Sir? I can immediately browse from the side you suspect it is sir. Because it is very difficult to trace from Davis' side, considering Rio his right hand is gone”
I thought for a moment too. There's a point Teddy said, too, but I hesitate to mention someone's name. What if it's true? And what if it's not true but he knows I'm investigating?
“Nothing, Ted. I don't want to know, you have to continue your search!” I chose to lie rather than mention his name to investigate.
After that, I asked Teddy to go back to his room. I grabbed my laptop and walked out of the room.
“If there is anything important, let me know, I'm at the cafe under” I told my secretary he replied politely.
Arriving at the cafe, I sat in a comfortable chair in the corner of the room. When I'm thinking a lot, I prefer to sit alone in the cafe accompanied by mellow music and order hot coffee. Maybe in the past when liquor was not illegal, I would choose to go to a frenetic place accompanied by liquor. But now it's different.
Up to 30 minutes later, from the direction of the lobby door I saw Davis and Narita coming side by side. The cafe located above the lobby is very free to see what happens at the lobby door. They seem to walk normally, even impressed as if there is a problem. It seems I overestimated their closeness.
NARITA POV
All the way back from the hospital to the office, Davis was crowded enough to start a chat. Meanwhile, I just answered. I'm still thinking about what happened in the therapy room.
With my own eyes and ears, I heard that Davis told me his story in the past. He remembers me in his heart.
“Na, na, we've reached”
“Yes,,” Davis has opened the car door for me, as soon as I lower my legs to get out. Davis's hand was already over my head intending to protect my head from being hit.
“Thank you” said me later.
“Sama-sama. Thank you also for accompanying me” his smile while rousing me to enter the lobby.
There is a strange feeling in my heart. I was happy when he remembered me, but I was honestly afraid to go any further. There was once a marriage between us, but by country our marriage was never recognized. Plus now he already has someone who will accompany him, someone who has certainly got the blessing of all parties, unlike me, even Davis kept our marriage secret from both parents, he said, could it be because he knew that we might never get their blessing?
“Na, we eat first yes!” my daydream suddenly broke because Davis had already driven me to the cafe.
“Assalamu’alaikum kak”.
“Wa’alaikum salam” replied Dave lazily, he glanced at me for a while and then turned to see Davis who had opened a chair for me.
“Thank you” said me later.
We both ordered food and drinks.
“We don't bother you, do we?” davis asked Dave who was still staring at his laptop.
“Actually I want to be alone, but there's no way I'm going to kick you guys out!” he replied sniffly as he glanced at the two of us alternately.
They are both brothers, but both have opposite natures. Dave is cooler, cranky, haughty, while Davis, though sometimes haughty, is more outgoing, open, and very easy to make women baper.
“Kakak tumben sitting here alone?” asked Davis who was only replied with a glance and Dave looked back at his laptop.
“So I didn't ask about my therapy?” continued Davis.
“How far have you remembered your past after asking him to accompany you?” Dave asked without seeing who was being spoken to.
From the tone of his speech, it can be ascertained that the ‘nya’ he means is me. Why does he seem to dislike me accompanying Davis on therapy? Not that if it was for Davis's sake, he should be grateful huh?
“I remember someone but whether he is my past or my future” Dave replied with a smile on my face.
At that moment I was looking at him and for a moment our eyes looked at each other. I saw him smile, but I might just show a silly expression. I was surprised to hear Dave's words, he remembered me and said that ‘aku his future’?
“Someone? Is he among us now?” dave asked and seemed to know who that person was.
“Surprisingly, yes.”
“Who?”
Suddenly a waiter served the food we had ordered. Finally our conversation stopped for a moment.
“Dia” Davis replied as he looked at me and I glared more and more with his honesty.
Dave seemed to smile cynically as he glanced at the two of us in turn. I myself do not understand with that smirk smile of his. What exactly is in his mind.
“If you say, he's your past, he can't. But remember, you're engaged to Jess, don't you hurt a woman for the umpteenth time, Davis!” a little loud pitches came out of Dave's mouth.
“And you, Narita! I don't need your confession or statement. The important thing right now is that you have to be fully aware that Davis is engaged! You are nothing to him!” continue Dave.
DEG
Why did Dave's words hurt my heart. Why didn't he give me a chance to talk? Why didn't Davis ask me directly about the truth in his memory? Why would I not have the opportunity to tell you the truth that I AM DAVIS' WIFE?
