My husband, Doctor Adrian

My husband, Doctor Adrian
VVIP patient

NATHAN'S POV

I stopped my SUV in front of a modest house on the outskirts of Jakarta. I don't know since when I've always been here, watching from afar. If I'm lucky, I can see him from behind the window doing a lot of things. Last week, I was able to watch her cooking. Now, I'm circulating my gaze. It's not everywhere. It's Saturday morning, maybe he's still sleeping.

Moments later, as I was about to get out of the place, I saw him. Lula with her hair tied. It looked like he was carrying something heavy. He looks tired. I am so sorry to see him like that at once. I raised my neck, trying to get a clearer vision. He was mopping the floor apparently, with a stomach that big. I can't take it anymore.

I got out of the car, half-run.

His eyes followed me in wonder.

"Lula! Stop that!" my word.

She's shocked.

I really need to rack my brain. His mother's in the hospital. She is very pregnant. In addition to working in the office, he also takes care of this house alone. He struggled to pay off his debt to me. Every day he worked, then visited his mother in the hospital, a long and tiring journey. I guarantee one hundred percent he won't leave this house without a good reason.

Sorry, Lula. It's all for your own good.

"We need to get out of here" I said.

Her beautiful eyes are wide. He rubbed the sweat on his forehead quickly, his face turning frantic.

"What's wrong?"

"The reporters.. They know my office. They questioned some of the employees and apparently there was a chance they were saying your name. The point is, you can't stay here for a while. Come with me." I tried to put on a face in such a way as to be unreadable.

Trust my book..

"I'll pack my clothes." He slipped his hair behind his ears and then immediately went into the house, leaving me.

I am grateful in my heart. I just want to help her.

We arrived at my penthouse that afternoon. Lula had already brought a small suitcase containing her needs. We will be back to visit her mother this afternoon. But since then, he has looked worried.

"What are you thinking?" I asked while guiding her into the apartment.

"I don't know what to repay your kindness for.." she said.

I just shook my head slowly.

I then put her suitcase in the master room, after which it returned to the living room where she was.

"I wouldn't stay here if that's what you're worried about. In addition, there is also a Gloria here that will serve all your needs. You don't have to work hard anymore." I said at length.

"Are they.. wouldn't know I live here?" he gently opened his eyes. I refrained from grabbing him.

"No. No one will know you're here. Oh yeah, when are you on vacation?" I asked while watching his already large stomach.

"Eitherway. Can I see my mom now?" tanyanya, already want to get ready.

I counted inside my head. Her gestational age is almost eight months, but she has not yet bought the baby's needs. When I asked her about the baby, she didn't want to think about it. I know it must have been painful, having an unwanted child. I will help you, Lula.

"Before that.. How do we go to the mall for dinner?" my many. I am grateful that I have emptied my schedule today.

He seemed to hesitate for a moment. "I can joint.."

I pulled her hand gently so that she would notice what I was going to say next. "We're going to the hospital, after you eat."

"What.. have you prepared a name?" ask when we just finished eating.

Lula was a little surprised to hear my question. I know he really hasn't thought of a name.

"It's okay. Just slow down, okay?"

A tear fell on his cheek.

"You must be thinking that I'm a bad mother, right?" says slowly.

"No. Not at all. I just thought that you were a strong mother. I just want you to know that you're not alone in raising her. If you allow.. I will always be by the boy's side, loving him, giving him what he needs. You. have a problem that is currently making you not focus on your child-to-be so never feel that you are an evil mother." I kept watching him as I spoke.

"Thank you, Nathan. I will never forget your kindness." he said.

I smiled, trusting every word that just came out of my mouth.

After eating, I asked her to look at the baby's needs. At first, he refused. But after being persuaded, he wanted to. We bought so many things that I had to call some of my bodyguards to bring our things. I didn't let Lula carry a bit of stuff. We buy baby clothes, toys, breastfeeding needs, car seats, to stroller. As usual, Lula insisted on paying. But I insist more. Think of it as a gift from his beloved Uncle, I said. My words made him smile.

We were almost done shopping when Lula's phone rang.

"Hello?" His face turned deathly pale.

"Okay, we'll be there soon" he answered and then hung up.

His eyes glazed over as he looked at me.

"Critical mom."

ADRIAN'S POV

Cellphone's ringing. I saw the clock on the nightstand. Who in the morning called me this blind?

"Hello?" my answer.

"Sorry, interrupt before. Is this Doctor Adrian Heart Specialist?" ask the voice of the man opposite to ask in Indonesian.

"Yes, right. What's up?"

"I'm Doctor Jonathan, given your number by Prof. Cipher. Look, in our hospital there's a heart patient who needs your treatment. Is.."

"Do you know I don't have surgery anymore?" I cut the doctor's word.

"Yes, I know, Doc. But.. In Indonesia, no one has been able to match your prowess to handle rare cases like this, Doc. So this patient has a heart defect from birth. He has had multiple operations. The doctors are our only hope. We've reached out to experts in America and their schedules are full by next year. Not a few of them who reference the name of Doctor Adrian. Because it is only Doctor Adrian who is an expert in this field throughout Asia." said Doctor Jonathan at length.

"Do you know I'm in Africa?"

"We will do the necessary treatment to save the life of this patient. But, Dr. Adrian is the only expert who can perform the operation. We think we can wait until the doctor arrives in Indonesia."

I'm speechless. I haven't had surgery in a long time. Shall I come and have an operation on this guy?

"We'll send you the patient files and take care of your arrival, Doctor. Because he is a VVIP patient, you will be picked up by a private jet. You can return to Bujumbura after the surgery is complete and the patient is stable."

Vvip patients? Wh who?
