NATHAN POV
Damnit. Why would I bring it up? Lula looked sad now.
I looked at him, then looked at the street, looked at him, then looked at the road again. I want to see the look on his face. I don't want him to be sad.
"Actually we're not talking to each other" Lula said.
I'm stunned.
"Can't you?" ask me while trying to stay focused on seeing the road.
Lula shakes. "Little problem. If you know marriage, too."
I smiled wryly. Boro-boro wedding. The last time I was dating was ten years ago. I remember my wild youth. Changing women. Everything had to come to a halt once the company I established was growing rapidly. I gave up all the pleasures of the world for my company. I forgot the last time I touched a woman.
"Patience." I said.
"Still.." she said, tucking her hair behind her ear. I wonder if he always has time to curl his hair every day. Everything about her suddenly made me wonder.
I followed her by touching her hair as she dropped her hand on her panther. He seemed surprised by my actions.
"Your hair is good.."
Lula smiled. "I always get up this morning."
I felt weak when I saw that smile. It does. feminine.
"I'm sorry it was at my club." I said again. Kissing you.
"Father.. We must've just got carried away." He cut my words. Not us, but me. My inner. He didn't want me to bring it up, so I just kept quiet. I combed my hair with my fingers. I drove slowly towards Lula's house, not wanting time to end quickly.
I glanced at him. His face, his hair curled underneath, his neck. I didn't expect I could fall for my own subordinates. Thank you to God for not meeting him every day at the office. I don't know what I can do if the opposite happens.
He entered my company four years ago. At the time, I didn't pay much attention to him. But as time went on, I would often notice him in the parking lot, in the office, in the restaurant near the office, wherever we met.
Lula is a smart and independent woman. Never once have I seen her delivered by her husband. Until one day, I accidentally met him at a restaurant. What kind of miracle is that? I walked up to her and got a little hurt when I found out she was waiting for her husband, the man she deserves. But apparently, the awaited ones did not come. I'm more than happy because he wants to join my desk. I'm proud of him in front of my business partner. I'm not biased. He is smart and charming.
Then I found out from the office group that he had an accident. I refrained from coming, but could not. Let me get beat up by her husband, the important thing is that I know he's okay. Apparently, her husband did not come.
Our next meeting was dinner in Hyatt. At that time I wanted to meet him. He looks sad. I tried to comfort him. Whenever her husband doesn't come I wonder, why waste a woman as perfect as Lula? Lula always kept her husband busy. I'll choose Lula over my job. But it turned out I was wrong, her husband came that night. Our first meeting. He is handsome, tall, and sturdy. Too good to be a doctor. He looks cold and I'm really afraid he'll hurt Lula. Until I finally ventured to ask him not to hurt Lula. I don't know what kind of stupid thought that was. Where could he hurt her? How could he not love a woman like Lula?
"Nathan?" Lula broke my daydream.
I'm turning.
"This has arrived." he said, pointing to his house. The mansion is painted black although not as grand as my home.
"Oh okay.." I let go of the seat belt. I was about to get ready to go down when Lula touched the back of my hand.
"Your driver hasn't arrived yet. Must have been three people. We just wait here, yes," he said gently.
I smiled and nodded.
"So.re you alone here?" my many.
He nodded.
"If you. who are you living with?"
I imagined my home. The palace house, however.. Slender.
"Only.." I said.
Silent.
"La, I.." I said nervously.
Lula looked me in the eye. It seems he really doesn't know about my feelings. I find that funny. Isn't it obvious? Shouldn't he know? Especially after the kiss?
"Why you?" tanyakanya.
"Emmm.. I was just saying.. Suppose you have a problem, or need something, or someone.." I breathe nervously. "You can come to me."
Lula said nothing. But he kept looking at me.
"Sorry.. I'm presumptuous." I said hurriedly. I don't want to make him feel uncomfortable.
Lula shakes.
"That's it, really."
"What's up?" many confused.
He laughed a little.
"You're not rude." he said.
I let out a sigh of relief.
He smiled and said, "Thank you, yes.. I'll keep your words." he said.
I smile. I remember when our lips met. He's so soft. I stiffened, then closed my eyes and leaned my body on the steering wheel.
"Why you?" ask Lula.
"Father." I said while restoring my hair.
A black Lexus stopped in front of us. My car.
"Your driver has arrived." said Lula. He got out of the car immediately. I caughtup.
"Thank you, yes." he said.
"Oh yeah, here's your car keys." I approached to hand Lula the keys.
He reached out, making our hands touch for a split second. Things like that make me happy.
"Thank you, one more time.. I owe you a debt of gratitude. I'm sorry I can't give you anything."
I shook my head and subconsciously stroked his upper arm.
"Ga really. Not at all. Yaudah went in there." I said as I glanced at the front fence of his house.
He nodded politely at me, then entered.
I got into the car after he was not seen again. In the car, I breathe. Why should he? Why should a married woman? I'm messing with my hair.
Half an hour later.. I got home. My big but quiet house. All my servants must have gone to sleep. I half ran to my room. I went into the bathroom. I undressed my entire outfit and played solo. Who else could have caused it if it wasn't Lula? But I don't even have the right to touch a finger because it belongs to someone else. Have I gone crazy? Are there no other women in the world? I was determined I should forget it. I cannot want what I cannot have.
I got into bed after I finished my shower. I can't sleep. I keep thinking about it. Shits. It's his birthday. Fuck my promise just now. I have to give him something. Butwhat?
I took my phone. I open a search engine and I type a gift for a loved one and enter.
