My husband, Doctor Adrian

My husband, Doctor Adrian
The Past of Adrian

ADRIAN'S POV

It's been three days that Lula's been living at Mama's house. Lula. Lula. Lula. That's all that's on my mind. Especially after yesterday, I saw him again picked up by his boss who did not know himself. Was Lula on purpose? He came out of the house to have an affair with the man? I breathed while driving to the hospital.

Okay, Adrian. Focus. Soon it's time to work, not the time to think about it.

At eight o'clock in the morning I arrived at the hospital. I got out of the car and headed straight for my room. Suddenly, a nurse approached me.

"Morning, doctor.." Sweepings.

"Morning.." I nodded at him while still walking.

"Hmm, here, doc. earlier.there's a courier delivering this document." I glanced at the nurse's hand. He held a chocolate map and gave it to me.

"Oh, okay. Thank you." I said. I walked back to my room and he went back to the nurse's room.

Inside my room, I put my briefcase on the chair. Then, I opened the map and read the title..

DIVORCE WARRANT

I quickly read the contents of the sheets of paper, then returned again on the first page. Back to the title. Saw my name. See the name Lula. That's when I realized. Lula has filed for my divorce.

Tok tock..

The knock on the door broke my daydream.

"So, just reminding.. The doctor has an operation soon."

I'm nodding. "Yes, I'm there now" I replied briefly.

In front of the operating room, I washed my hands and a nurse dressed me in surgical clothes, gloves, and a latex head covering. It's all been so boring, I've done it a thousand times.

I went into the operating room with a shunt. I remember my patient's history, what I had to do. In the operating room, there were about ten people consisting of several nurses and some young doctors. The patient's heart is already visible, some young doctors are opening it. I as a senior doctor just need to solve the problem, and later the young doctors will also close the patient's heart and sew it back.

A young doctor repeated the patient's history on all of us. We listened in silence. There was only the sound of the heart rate monitor deafening the ears.

A nurse placed a small scalpel in my hand. I accepted it and approached the patient's already open heart. For the first time, my hands shook. Suddenly I thought of Lula. This has never happened before.

"You, replace me." I'm appointing the most senior doctor in the room.

He stuttered for a moment and took the scalpel out of my hand. "Well, doc." he said.

I'm like I'm lacking oxygen. Suddenly this surgical outfit is making me cramped. I hurried out of the operating room. I threw my gloves in the trash. A nurse followed me. "Doctors are okay?" tanyakanya.

I'm shaking. "It's okay, sus." I rushed back to my room. As soon as I got to my room, I took the car keys. I am still free to practice until this afternoon. I have to see Lula.

"Fuckkkp.. Fuckk.'s.." I hit the steering wheel of my car. The road was so jammed this morning.

Why, Lula? Wh why?

Arriving at my mother's house..

I'm putting my car away. Lula's car was parked not far from me.

I knocked on the door. Bi Siti opened the door shortly afterwards.

"Bi, Lula is there?" my many.

I was impatient, but I was still waiting for him to finish his sentence.

"Non Lula's.. It went the same.." he said.

"Yes?" my many.

"That's it, Non Lula's boss in the office" Bi Siti said.

DEG

Nathan's? That guy again?

I was filled with anger. I immediately flipped over, pressed the button on my phone, then contacted Lula. But I already knew, he wouldn't lift it.

I tried to contact Lula over twenty times that day. But there's no answer. I went back to the hospital and stayed at work serving dozens of patients that day, but my mind drifted somewhere.

I'm disappointed in Lula. How could she do that to me? How could he do that? After what I did for her? He betrayed me all this time? Okay. Infidelity is one thing. But divorce? Will he take care of his son without me? Hm.. His kid? Why is it so hard to say "our son"? Is it all because I doubt that child is my son? Or.. am I too cowardly to have children?

My mind drifted on my past. My childhood. I grimaced. My real mother that I don't even remember her face. I only remember her long hair and curls, the smell of cheap perfume she wore, and her always disheveled clothes.

"Doc?" a nurse broke my daydream.

In front of me, a middle-aged patient looked puzzled.

"Ah, where were we?" my many.

"Schedule this operation of Mr. Next week, by the doctor himself."

"Yes, yes of course." I said.

After work, I called Lula. Not lifted. Suddenly there was an incoming call.

Papa Lukas's.

I lifted it in the first ring.

"Adrians? Can you please come home?" papa said firmly.

"Oh.. Can, Pa. I'm there now." I said.

All the way I wondered. Is Papa going to scold me for our marriage? Has Lula been open with her family about her relationship with the man? Would Lula's parents be more happy if Lula was with the man? Bad thoughts come over and over without me preventing them.

Unknowingly I drove so fast that I arrived at Lula's parents' house in a few minutes. I'm putting my car away. The front door is open. Bi Siti welcomed me. This time it was a little different than this morning. He looks.

"Master was told to go in with the Great Lord." said Bi Siti bowing her head.

I nodded towards him and half ran inside.

"Pa, but Lula said she didn't want to see each other.." Mama and Papa seemed to be speaking in a loud voice in the living room.

"Ma, Pa.." I nodded towards them.

"Adrians.. Papa and Mama don't know what happened to you and Lula. What is clear, Papa does not agree that you guys have been fighting for a long time" said Papa.

"Yes, Pa. I understand. I came here this morning to find Lula. But he doesn't exist."

Papa nodded. "Yes, you better solve your problems. There.. Lula is upstairs."

I was just about to say yes, Mama seemed to disagree. "But, Pa.." he said.

"Alright, Ma. Until when we interfere.. Adrian, get up there.." tell Papa.

I nodded and half ran towards Lula's room.

I opened the door to his room. Darkened. There was only a dimly lit sleeping lamp on the nightstand.

"Hispan?" call me.

Thousands of questions ran through my mind. Should I be angry or sad? I don't know. Obviously, I need to solve our problem.
