Look At Me Once
Why Should I Get Pregnant?

“Good yes, new clock home!” alwi's reprimand that managed to make Lathifa jump in shock when her feet had just entered the main door. “You still remember the same house? Where have you been?”

“Eh, you're home?” ask Lathifa back while controlling her heartbeat to normal again.

“Do you not see the clock? Did you remember coming home at 9? Where did you play until tonight?” alwi asked coldly in an intimidating tone, he deliberately sat in the living room and al-Quran tadarus while waiting for Lathifa's return.

“From restaurant mom.” Lathifa tried to answer him as calmly as possible, she did not want her husband to suspect her and would certainly lecture her further and would take even longer.

Lathifa wanted to leave in front of her husband immediately and wanted to rest her body as soon as possible.

But Alwi did not let him get away with it, he looked at Lathifa from head to toe as if looking for a lie from his wife's words.

“Why look at me like that? I'm not lying!” lathifa replied annoyed. “If you don't believe please call your mother.”

“Ya already, hurry there in! This is the last time I forgive you and let you go home tonight!” sweat Alwi and let his wife away from him.

After Lathifa died, Alwi decided to go to the mushalla house and continue his sentence. But he made sure in advance that the door of his house was locked perfectly and safely and did not forget to turn off the lights in the living room.

When the time showed at 22:30, after cleaning his body, Lathifa went to the kitchen to find snacks that he could eat to silence the worms in his stomach that had been singing noisily.

“You haven't had dinner yet, Fa?” asked Anisa who suddenly went into the kitchen.

“Eh, already Ma'am,” Lathifa replied quickly, he felt bad because he was caught wandering night and night in the kitchen looking for something in the refrigerator.

Anisa approached Lathifa. “Then, what are you looking for?”

“Emh, I'm hungry again, Ma'am,” replied Lathifa grinningly showing her rows of teeth.

“Oh yes, I bought a cake you just take.”

“Bby Mbak?” ask Lathifa to make sure.

“Eat it, Fa. Lagian cake was bought to be eaten not just for decoration only.”

Anisa took the cake she had bought and put it on the table, then she took a plate and spoon and placed it next to the cake.

“Eat,” said Anisa and led Lathifa to sit on the chair.

“Thank you, Ma'am,” said Lathifa with sparkling eyes. “Cake it looks very tempting.”

Without any more babibu, Lathifa moved the piece of cake into her plate and started eating it.

“Mbak Anisa does not eat?” ask Lathifa with her mouth full of cake in it.

“No, you eat it, Fa.” Anisa answered him with a smile that expands on her beautiful face even without makeup polish.

“Enak one cake, Mbak.”

“Pelan-pelan just eat it, Fa. Don't forget the milk is drunk!” Anisa thrust out a glass of milk that she made without Lathifa realizing because the woman was too focused on the cake in front of her.

“What husband?”

“Ih, you yes ... same as Mas Alwi! the habit of often forgetting to drink this milk if not reminded,” Anisa's nagging, he felt anxious facing both people who should always be reminded to drink their promil milk.

“I ti-”

Lathifa's sentence was cut off when the voice of their husband screaming from upstairs called Anisa.

“Sorry Fa, I can't accompany you any longer. Last Mas Alwi asked me to make coffee for him,” said Anisa then she said to return to her room.

After Anisa died, Lathifa immediately felt a mood change so quickly. She herself did not know with her own mood, she suddenly felt sad and her heart felt pinched imagining her husband and honey would spend the night together in the same room.

‘You why the hell, Thif! Let them be husband and wife! Why are you feeling upset?’

Lathifa finished her meal and returned the remaining box of cake a few pieces into the refrigerator, her appetite suddenly disappearing.

Lathifa cleaned the dirty dishes and washed them, she also brought the milk glass that Anisa gave and poured the contents that were not touched at all into the sink.

“I don't need to drink this, Ma'am.”

After taking care of everything, Lathifa walked back to her room with a giant step, she remembered the incident this afternoon when she had just finished her work at Ana's cafe.

“Good work, Thif. It turns out you are still good at singing like you used to be,” Praise Ana after looking back at Lathifa's performance on stage.

“Ah, Mbak could have, I still have a lot to learn, Mbak.”

“Don't go down so low, you and Hafiz used to be idols of this city, loh.”

“It was then Ma'am, now mah .. just could have been, dikit.” Lathifa smiled in response.

“You want to go home directly? Almost magrib loh, later all you wait for magrib here,” said Ana gave a suggestion.

“I want to stop by mom's restaurant, Ma'am.” Lathifa refused Ana's invitation.

“Ya already if you want it so, be careful on the road ya.”

“Iya Mbak, thank you yes.”

After saying goodbye, Lathifa stepped foot towards the exit. But not even even he walked five steps, Lathifa stopped his steps because he felt his head dizzy as if spinning and his vision began to blur.

Soon he fell unconscious and when he woke up Lathifa was lying in a room with all-white nuances typical of a treatment room.

“You're up?” ask a middle-aged woman sitting in the corner of the room.

“Sorry, if I may know where I am?” ask Lathifa while observing the surrounding situation.

“You're in my clinic, Ma'am. Last time you fainted and Ana brought you here,” was obviously the woman, whom Lathifa guessed was a doctor visible from the clothes attached to her body.

“Ping-san?” Lathifa looked confused and remembered the incident at the Cafe, she remembered that she felt dizzy and after that she did not remember anything.

“Do not worry, you are fine,” explained the doctor. “When was the last time you came a month, Ma'am?”

“Eh, why did the doctor ask that?” ask Lathifa confused.

“It looks like you're pregnant, Ma'am. But this is just my guess, to make sure you should check into the hospital,” the doctor's advice.

“Ha-pregnant?” Lathifa looked shocked and could not believe what the doctor said. “A-i'm pregnant?”

“Hah! Getting pregnant? How can I get pregnant?” asked Lathifa after waking up from her daydream.

‘Why at a time like this do I have to get pregnant? Why do I want to stay away from him, God? Why?’ lathifa's screams were frustrated.
