Chapter 66 - Overcoming Fear

It was 5:30 in the morning. The sun began to rise and a cold wind whistled through the air.

Wen Fan narrowed his eyes towards the sky in the distance. Next, he saw two small spots that were almost undetectable deep in the sky.

That chopper!

Wen Fan immediately pressed the tracker again. The people behind him chatted excitedly as they stood up, and repeatedly cheered with excitement.

Wen Fan shot a flare into the sky. The green smoke makes a vertical line up, telling their position to the helicopters far away.

The rumbling of the descending helicopter came from above everyone's head. The strong wind created from his propeller caused everyone the difficulty to open their eyes.

"Captain Xi!"

Two green helicopters landed on the roof of the school. Xi Zihe jumped down from the cabin, his coat fluttering wildly due to the wind from the propeller.

"Captain!" Lu Lin ran towards him happily. "Thank God you made it!"

A short while later, Shen Yuan and the others followed down from the helicopter.

Shen Yuan's gaze immediately turned to Wen Fan. "Has the team Yang Ruisi has arrived here?"

Yang Ruisi also had the same location tracking device as Xi Zihe. That would make it easier for him to find a way to their place.

Yang Ruisi immediately spurred the vehicle faster. He took a deep breath, stuck out his arm that was holding the gun out of the window.

Yang Ruisi fired a few shots, but all of them were avoided by those chimpanzee zombies.

"Damn it! Why is he so agile?!"

Perhaps because it was not human, the chimpanzee zombie had the same physical strength as a common chimpanzee. Even stronger than before.

"Xiao Zhao!" The Ruisi roared as loud as possible between the roar of the machine. "Do you know how to drive a car?!"

"Nope-no. I don't know how!" He Zhao replied with a stutter.

Yang Ruisi again dropped the sentence that left He Zhao having a heart attack. "Then get a rifle in there and shoot that thing!"

He Zhao's pupils trembled as he looked towards Yang Ruisi in disbelief. He was like asking how Yang Ruisi could ask such a thing from a sixteen year old child.

"Why hasn't it moved yet? At war, even little kids have to take up arms, you know?!"

Without further ado, Yang Ruisi stuffed the AK47 rifle into He Zhao's arms. Amongst the vehicle shocks that continued to occur, He Zhao looked back and forth between the rifle and Yang Ruisi.

He Zhao took a deep breath before getting up from his seat. He could feel Feifei slightly squeezing his arm to give his spirit.

To be honest, he was still afraid of these zombies. He was afraid of the creature that had taken his mother's life.

Every time he saw these zombies, he would always remember the time when those zombies ate his mother alive. He could remember the pain in his mother's face. He remembered how he only looked and could do nothing.

Like at the moment.

He Zhao felt his body start stiff and tremble. The AK47 rifle that should only weigh less than 5kg felt increasingly heavy in his hands. His head began to empty, he could only hear one voice.

The body of the vehicle swayed wildly as the chimpanzee zombies in the back shook their bodies. Their vehicle lost control until it formed an S lane on the asphalt.

"Fuck him!" He Zhao heard Yang Ruisi cursing loudly from the driver's seat. He tried to shoot the chimpanzee with a gun with one hand.
