Chapter 1 - Their Lives

"A-Yuan, look at our daughter, isn't she very pretty?"

The lights in the all-white room flickered crazily, accompanied by a roar that sounded heartfelt.

The man gasped awake suddenly, startling the little girl who had been trying to wake him up. He was immediately treated to the surprised face of his daughter.

Carrying Shen Feifei, his daughter, Shen Yuan walked leisurely towards the kitchen. Put Feifei on the dining table chair.

First he washed his face and brushed his teeth in the bathroom, then went back to the kitchen and started taking out a pack of instant pancakes from the cupboard. Quickly bake pancakes and make a glass of milk for Feifei and a glass of coffee for himself. Everything was completed in 30 minutes.

Then he took out a plate featuring Ariel from the dish rack, and began to arrange pancakes on it.

Her daughter really likes these things. During an excursion to Disneyland, he bought all the fairy tale princess trinkets, from mugs to glasses, plates, key chains, and much more. He remembered how tired he was of following his over-enthusiastic son. Of course, his stamina could not compare to the stamina of a ten-year-old.

Smelling a very good smell of pancakes, Feifei's stomach started to sound. Even Shen Yuan who was in the kitchen could hear him.

Shen Yuan smiled faintly and hurriedly placed the pancakes in front of her daughter before asking, "Maple syrup or strawberry jam?"

"Strawberry barley!"

The dining room was filled with sweet warm air, and occasionally would be heard the clanking of cutlery.

After finishing breakfast, Feifei started to collect the tableware and bring it to wash. Shen Yuan had indeed taught her son to do a little homework so that he would not rely too much on her. Even so, Shen Yuan would still follow and watch her daughter wash the dishes from behind.

The car is traveling at a constant speed. Thirty minutes later they had arrived at N city medical university.

Shen Yuan carried Feifei with one arm, while the other carried his briefcase. They walked leisurely towards the lecturer's office, ignoring the views of the few students who looked on with interest.

Someone who saw it, definitely could not guess with certainty how old he was. With a three-dimensional face, sharp eyebrows, long black eyelashes like crow wings, and a pair of charming Phoenix eyes. Despite having a daughter, she never lacked a blind date.

Upon reaching his desk, Shen Yuan sat down, placed Feifei on his lap, and began to arrange some files.

Before long, a student representative approached his desk. He was consulting on his final assignment, but as Shen Yuan explained, his focus shifted to Feifei sitting on his lap and playing the rubik cube.

One look, you'll know right away that it's the son of his lecturer who's like an iceberg. They're like coming out of the same mold. But because he was young, Feifei looked cheerful and energetic, with a face that was always smiling. In contrast to his father who was lazy to express himself, just put on a cold face all day. Makes one wonder how father and son can have such a different disposition.

"What do you see?" A cold voice entered his ear cavity, making the student come to a realization. Then he met his lecturer's sharp and extremely cold gaze, giving him the illusion that he was standing on a snowy mountain peak. Immediately, he shivered in the cold.

Then he forcefully exchanged a few more words with this black-hearted professor, and then walked out of the office by lowering his head.

Shen Feifei was very obedient, he would sit still and not disturb his father's work at all until Shen Yuan finished all his work.

Holding Feifei's hand together, they walked back through the corridor. Just then Shen Yuan heard the news that happened to be being broadcast on one of the students mobile phones.

"A mental hospital patient escaped and attacked several people in the XX underground station. The patient bit until the victim suffered severe injuries. Immediately the security officers arrested the patient and were taken back to the mental hospital. The victims were also immediately rushed to the nearest hospital."

"that's terrible."

"I heard the patient was running away from the N city mental hospital. Fortunately, the patient was caught."

Shen Yuan only heard it, and did not consider it important. Walked peacefully with her daughter to her car.
