Chapter 47 - State of Emergency

It was midnight on the north side of the factory.

Everyone was in a hurry, running back and forth busily. The light from the torch danced up and down in the dark of the night.

A wire fence has fallen over the lushness of the weeds. Wen Fan directed the people to attach some hook ropes to the fence. He himself held the rope tightly, he started the cue, "One, two, three, pull-!"

Wei Qian's voice filled with guilt rang out from behind. Currently, Shen Yuan was treating his wound with alcohol and wrapping it in gauze.

Move the weapons and take out that armored vehicle!"

Feifei still looked anxious and confused as he was pushed into the armored vehicle.

Xi Zihe turned towards his members, he called out the names of Yao Yue, Wen Fan, Li Yan, Song Yi, and a young and strong-looking civilian named Han Yu to stay behind. After which, Xi Zihe turned to look at Shen Yuan, "Dad, you also remain here."

Shen Yuan looked directly into Xi Zihe's eyes, yet he still accepted his decision. But at that moment, Feifei's loud voice rang out between them, "NO-!"

Feifei broke through with all his might from within the armored vehicle and exited. He dashed towards Shen Yuan with tears flowing down.

Feifei immediately hugged his father tightly. His limbs were trembling because of his crying. "No, no! Dad can't leave me! You have to come with me!"

Shen Yuan breathed heavily. He pulled Feifei from his body, then knelt in front of him. His eyes looked at Feifei's tear-filled face, gently Shen Yuan tried to wipe away his tears with his fingertips.

Shen Yuan clasped Feifei's head with both hands, making Feifei look him in the eye. "Be good. I promise you I will come to you. Okay?"

Feifei's cry grew more and more, and began to shout. "I don't want to! You have to come with me!"

Feifei was still crying and asking his father to go with him, whereas Shen Yuan was trying his hardest to persuade him.

Seeing this scene, the crowd of people who had already climbed onto the vehicle could not help but cry. Their eyes all turned red and began to sob. Even Yao Yue was also crying.

Wei Qian felt like she could no longer bear to see this, she got off the vehicle, and said, "Dad, you just use my place. I'll stay."

Xi Zihe rubbed Yao Yue's head hard before he climbed onto the roof of the armored vehicle. He'll clean up the zombies on the road from the roof of the vehicle.
