Chapter 22 After a long time

It doesn't feel like five months have passed since my last meeting with Brother Zean. After that night, I never heard from him. I sent him several times but never got a reply from Brother Zean. I also asked Fajar several times, he said he was busy preparing his srikpsi. Finally I gave up, I stopped at something I hadn't even started yet.

These few months I'm still busy with school and some extra tutoring. Being a final-level student in Junior High, took a lot of my time and energy, until there was no room to think about my feelings.

I sat in front of the mirror of my dresser, I stared fixed Zean's bracelet that was still attached to my wrist. To this day, after hundreds of days have passed I still do not understand why Brother Zean disappeared just like that. I often ask myself, where is my fault? Last time we met, I thought we were getting closer, but it turned out that my guess was wrong, only I felt close to him and not the other way around.

Today I will attend the graduation om dawn, actually I have refused but Arum is not his name if I can not force me to leave. Finally with a little heavy heart I agreed Arum's invitation to accompany him. I'm a little worried, it's not impossible there I'll meet with Zean's sister right.

I tidied up the peach-colored dres that dangled above the knee. I combed my hair and let it unravel.

" Sister where are the flowers?" I asked Brother Ega who was still in his room.

" On the dining table." Reply sister Ega half yelled.

I went down the stairs and into the kitchen. I shook my head when I saw the pink bouquet of carnations on the table..

" Sister." I'm yelling.

" What?"Turns out brother Ega was already behind me.

" I'm asking for red, not pink!"

" What's the difference between the two carnations, right?"

" Different means sis, red is for friendship if pink is for affection." I'm a little upset.

" But buy it again!"

" It's ah, baby money." I gave up in the end.

I say goodbye to Brother Ega, I deliberately set out late so as not to be there too long. I took the taxi that was ordered by Brother Ega. Tadinga brother Ega insisted on dropping me off, but I refused because sister Ega had just returned from the hospital, she must be tired and needed rest.

I got off the taxi and saw that Arum was waiting for me in front of the campus gate.

Arum pulled my hand and we walked towards the hall where the graduation was held. I refused when Arum invited me in, preferring to wait outside.

Almost an hour waiting, I saw Dawn, Arum and his parents coming out of the hall. I approached them and gave a bouquet of carnations to Fajr and congratulated him.

Not long after I saw Brother Zean coming out of the hall with two people who must be his parents.

" sdi. Indhi." Shouted Arum who saw me daydreaming.

" Why?" I asked and still watched Zean.

" Why are you? See what's up to the tip of his face?" Arum took a look at me and saw Brother Zean.

" Come. Don't look at it. Eat ati entar. Mending took the photos!" Arum pulled my hand and walked towards his family who were capturing the graduation moment of Dawn. Apparently there's Viona's sister there too. I greeted Brother Viona and took a picture with the Arum family.

I came home after the photos were over, but aunt Marisa forbade me and even invited me to the restaurant to celebrate the graduation of Fajar. I couldn't refuse Aunt Marisa's invitation, I finally agreed to go with them. Me, Arum and his parents went first to the restaurant, while Fajar will follow after capturing the last moment with his friends.

Soon Dawn came with some people I knew. There's Brother Viona, sister Dion, sister Natasha and sister Zean.

" Hye Indhi, long time no see, the more beautiful." Greet Brother Dion while waving my hand.

I just smiled at Brother Dion and waved at him awkwardly.

I glanced towards Brother Zean for a while. We were like strangers who had never met before. We did not greet each other at all.

Soon a couple came to Sister Zean, and Zean introduced them to us. Yes, they were Zean's parents and they finally joined us.

I just kept quiet about the talk of the parents. I was a little surprised when Brother Zean's parents said that this restaurant was theirs.

I feel bored, let alone see the attitude of Brother Zean who seems not to know me makes me want to go home more. After eating, I decided to go home first because the day had started late in the afternoon. Brother Dion offered to take me home but I refused him on the grounds that I would stop by somewhere else first.

I went out of the restaurant alone and waited for a taxi on the side of the road. It had been a few minutes but not a single taxi passed in front of me. Suddenly a car stopped in front of me. It was like I had seen this car before and when the owner came out I just remembered seeing it when he was going to the beach.

So you can guess who owns this car. Well, his car, Ze.

" Want me to drop off?"Brother Zean is approaching me..

" No. Thanks though. Excuse me." I declined his offer and immediately left Brother Zean.

You freak, just a few minutes ago he was like someone who didn't know me, and now what, wants to take me home. You think you're the only one who can act like that. Suddenly datan then left, suddenly being nice and then indifferent again. Basic heartless man. You think I'm just a little girl you can play with. I continued walking while cursing all of Brother Zean's attitude towards me. I stopped when I felt someone had clenched my hand, I turned around and saw who had done it.
