Chapter 15 A Tense Moment

I ran for joy as my feet began to step on the sand of the beach, I took off my shoes and ran further so that my feet could feel the touch of sea water. I ran around while waiting for the waves to come to the shore, when the water was high I ran away and when the water was low I ran after it. Isn't that funny. Seeing my behavior, sister Ega just smiled and watched me from afar. Occasionally, Ega waved his hand at me and gestured not to go too far to the middle of the beach.

Long playing chases with sea water, I felt tired and ran towards sister Ega who was sitting relaxed while enjoying a young coconut. I grabbed the young coconut belonging to sister Ega and drank it to the end.

"Have you been satisfied playing?" Ask Brother Ega.

" Hmmm, you're not cool ah, don't play water." My protest was to Brother Ega who chose to sit watching me play water.

Me and sister Ega walked behind a pregnant mother and a boy who was about 6 years old. The boy ran first to leave his mother, but suddenly he turned around and ran towards his mother again.

Brak, the little boy accidentally hit his mother's stomach and suddenly the pregnant mother fell flat on the ground. I jumped from Ega's sling and ran towards the mother and the boy and then Ega's sis followed behind me.

"Mom, why mother?" The boy shouted while crying in fear.

"Mom, are you okay?" Ask sister Ega and then direct the earanga approaching the nose of the pregnant woman.

Sister Ega looked around and saw the paper bag in the pregnant woman's hand and took it and made it as a pillow. Ega's sister looks to be looking for something in her pants pocket which turns out to be a small flashlight that looks more like a bolpoint. Brother Ega opened his eyes and examined his eyes with the help of the flashlight.

"Call ambulance!" Ega's orders then handed her phone to me.

Ega's sister is still trying to give first aid to the mother. He was seen pressing his fingers, probably to ascertain whether the pregnant woman was still conscious or not.

"Hallo, the ambulance, there's a faint person, she's pregnant. We're on XX beach." I said with my mouth shaking.

After calling I saw the liquid coming out of the pregnant woman's thigh.

"Sir, there's water." My voice vibrates.

"Water the waters break, the baby will be born."

There were boisterous sounds of people surrounding us.

Ega's sister asked for her phone again and seemed to be contacting someone.

"Prof, there's an emergency patient." Said Ega starting the conversation. "A pregnant woman, in her mid-30s, had no reaction to her pupils and her right pupil was about 4 to 5mm wide. His left side is paralyzed. I think it's a right-brain hemorrhage or an infarction. Most likely prof's bleeding." Continue to Ega lengthen Wide.

I ran towards Villa, as I was about to open the door there was the sound of an ambulance approaching. I felt a little relieved, because it meant that big brother didn't have to cut the mother's throat.

I went back to the place and carried the boy.

Ega's sister was helped by health workers to move the mother into the ambulance and I came closer to the ambulance in the direction of some people who had seen this incident since.

"He should be intubated, give him a breathing apparatus!" Brother Ega's orders to the medics.

"Are you a doctor?" Ask the medical officer to make sure whether Sis Ega is really a doctor.

"Yes." Yeah."

Sister Ega looks to be pumping the mother's mouth with a tool that I myself do not know its name. Maybe it's a breathing apparatus that was meant by Ega's brother earlier.

"Please Laryngoscopy." Brother Ega's orders again.

The medics took out a device and gave it to sister Ega. Sister Ega was trying to put the device into the mother's mouth.

"Hold on." Said brother Ega.

Then a second later the pregnant woman's hands clashed and medics were seen holding her hands firmly.

"Always." Pinta Ega's sister again.

Brother Ega put the hose into his mouth.

"Eject." Say again.

And the medic swiftly followed Ega's instructions. Then sister Ega put a tool that looks like an air bag into the hose that had been inserted into the throat of the pregnant woman. Sister Ega put a stethoscope in the earanga and check the condition of the mother with one hand, while the other hand still continues to pump a tool that I just know the name ambu bag or ambu bag.

"Please go to XX Hospital, hurry!" Shouted Ega to the ambulance driver

Hearing Ega's screams I put the boy into the ambulance. Brother Ega took something out of his pants pocket.

"Here's your car keys, ask someone to drive you home tomorrow, remember you can't drive yourself, you're a minor!" Said Ega's sister who looked tired.

I just nodded and retreated away from the ambulance, then one of the medics closed the ambulance door and they immediately went to the hospital that had been directed by Brother Ega.

I hope the mother and baby are okay. My wish is hopeful. Seeing that incident, watching Sister Ega trying to save someone's life, it felt like something was tickling in my heart, it felt tense but a little touching.
