Bayan was still staring at Arafah without blinking while continuing to recite in his heart. He hoped that something that came did not endanger the lives of those in the room, especially Arafah.
Suddenly, Bayan's eyes rounded when he saw Arafah rise and then sit upright with both eyes looking forward to his eyes. Bayan shuddered a little because recognizing that gaze did not belong to Arafah.
Bayan had just opened his mouth to ask but the sound of the window opening made Bayan's attention distracted. Bayan turned his head towards the window and saw a black shadow resembling the figure of a long-haired woman standing there. The black figure looked fixedly at Arafah.
"Who are you ?. What do you want ?!" ask Bayan loudly.
Although Bayan's voice was very loud, but did not make Fikri, Anna and Ayu awake. All three seemed to fall asleep as if not disturbed by the loud voice of Bayan earlier.
Not the answer Bayan received, but rather the astonishing action of the woman. It turned into black smoke that slowly floated into the room and stopped right in front of Arafat. After that, the black smoke again formed a solid form. The woman stood watching Arafah who was sitting upright and her eyes bulged.
Seeing that makes Bayan panic. He tried to push forward to block the black figure from approaching Arafah but failed. His body was suddenly stiff and difficult to move. Even though Bayan tried his hardest, he was still unable to escape the invisible shackles that ensnared him.
As Bayan was trying to escape, a voice sounded out greeting him. Very soft to make Bayan look to the right and to the left looking for the origin of the sound. Bayan was surprised to learn that the voice came from the black figure before him.
"Thank you for keeping it for me ..," said the black figure as he stood his back to Bayan.
"Keeping ?. What do you mean, who am I guarding ?!" tanya Bayan riled.
"He ... This beautiful child ...," said the black figure while looking at Bayan.
At that time Bayan was stunned because he saw clearly the face of the black figure. It turned out that the black figure had a very sinister face. With a mouth filled with fangs sticking out, without a nose, both large eyes lit up, fused eyebrows and black skin wrinkled. Long silvery white hair that decomposes covering the back further clarifies the age of the woman's figure.
The unusual sighting made Bayan aware that he faced was a creature so-called stealth alias.
Bayan swallowed his saliva hard as the figure of the woman stretched out her hand and touched Arafah's head.
"Don't ... Please don't hurt her ...," Bayan asked expectantly.
The woman seemed to shake her head while laughing softly. He laughed at Bayan who thought he would hurt Arafah.
"Where may I hurt my heir ...," said the woman with a grin.
After finishing her sentence, the woman snatched Arafah away violently. Then Arafah's body that was jolted forward fell down in the woman's arms. Bayan screamed angrily watching the woman holding Arafah with one hand and taking her away.
The woman darted quickly towards the open window. Before actually leaving, the woman turned to Bayan with a smile. But in Bayan's eyes a woman's smile looks more like a mocking grin than a sincere smile.
Bayan also cursed. He called Arafah while trying to escape.
"Arafaaahh ... Arafaahh !. Don't take Arafah !. Return Arafah !" bayan lantang said.
But a pat on his cheek made Bayan aware. He opened his eyes and saw Anna in front of him with Fikri and Ayu looking anxiously at him.
"Dad ...!" call Anna soft.
Bayan was silent as he tried to get up from his lying position.
"Arafah ..," called Bayan as he turned his head toward Arafah's bed.
"Arafah is still sleeping. Dad why?, what's the nightmare ?" asked Anna while giving a glass of water.
Bayan blinked his eyes as he watched Arafat still sleep in bed with an infusion hose on his arm. Bayan took a long breath. After that he received the glass that Anna offered and then gulped the contents up to the toilet.
"Together Well," said Anna as she placed the glass on the table.
After being calm enough, Bayan got up and stepped closer to Arafah. He touched Arafah's head with a chaotic feeling. Although Arafah seemed to be breathing quietly, Bayan knew that Arafat was not well.
"Dad ...," call Fikri.
Bayan turned his head and found Fikri looking at him with a hard-to-read look. Bayan let out a long breath and nodded.
"Yes. Dad had a nightmare earlier," Bayan said as he looked at Arafah.
"What dream is it ?" ask Anna impatiently.
"Ga good to be told here. It's late now, you better rest. Let me sit here while looking after Arafah" Bayan said as he sat on the chair right beside the bed.
Fikri, Anna and Ayu stared at each other for a moment then nodded. They knew it would not be easy to persuade Bayan and ask him to rest.
Then Anna and Ayu shifted and chose to lie on the sofa bed, while Fikri bailed out to buy coffee.
It didn't take long for the silence to greet the room. Bayan was still waiting for Arafah. He stared fixedly at Arafah while reciting.
Suddenly Bayan pulled out his hand which rubbed Arafah's head in surprise. He saw Arafah's mouth slightly open along with the teeth slowly sticking out. Which is surprising because Arafah's teeth are not like children's teeth in general. Arafah's teeth are more like sharp fangs. Not just one or two teeth, but all. It was as if the teeth were being prepared to tear something hard.
"Astaghfirullah aladziim .... Laa haula wala quwwata ilaa billahill aliyyil adzim ..," muttered Bayan with a fast beating heart.
Bayan knew that Arafah was transforming into my demon.
If he usually sees my apparition from a distance far enough, but seeing the appearance of my droplet in front of him makes Bayan shudder in horror as well as sadness. He did not expect if the watermelon and as funny as Arafah turned out to have stealth blood in him.
A soft growling sounded from Arafah's mouth along with both eyes that were swerving upwards. In addition, the toddler's body also looks convulsed as if there is something urgent to come out.
Bayan reflexes hugged Arafah so that the toddler did not wriggle while continuing to hold Arafah's head. Bayan also tried to hold Arafat's head to stay in place.
At that crucial moment Fikri entered and was surprised to see Bayan hugging Arafat tightly. He ran to the bed and helped Bayan. It seems that Fikri is aware that Bayan is 'fighting' Arafah.
"Please wash her face and neck with Fik water," Bayan pinta as she stared fixedly at Fikri.
Fikri gasped at Bayan's wet eyes. He knew his father could not cry if something in front of him was not worrying. Fikri rushed to get a glass filled with water. He poured the contents into the palm of his hand and washed Arafah's face and neck while reciting.
Apparently what Fikri did managed to reduce the heat that attacked Arafah. Slowly but surely the body of the toddler was no longer convulsing. Both of his eyes that had originally dodged closed again and his breathing began to be regular. After Arafah calmed down, Bayan let go of his embrace slowly.
Fikri grabbed Arafah's body from Bayan's embrace and laid it down carefully. When Fikri turned his head and wanted to ask what happened, Bayan seemed to step into the bathroom. Fikri was only able to let out a long sigh because he had to delay his curiosity.
A moment later Fikri smiled to see his father come out of the bathroom in wet condition. Apparently Bayan had just washed his face with water.
"So Arafah why Yah ?" asked Fikri when Bayan sipped coffee from the glass he bought earlier.
Bayan stopped his action and looked out the window. Fikri also looked out the window because he was curious about what Bayan saw.
