105. Rosiana's Family

Rosiana got off on the side of the highway and walked to a secluded place away from the crowds. Rosiana smiled when she saw a woman in front of a house she was going to.

"Maaakk ...!" call Rosiana loud while running small.

The woman called 'mak' turned her head and smiled at Rosiana. He spread out his arms to welcome Rosiana. The two women hugged each other and missed.

"I miss Mak" said Rosiana, breaking her embrace.

"Then anyway. It's not because you don't have a place to escape that you came here ?" ask the woman named Mak Ejah while patting Rosiana's cheek gently.

Rosiana laughed as it turned out that Mak Ejah knew the reason for her arrival this time. Then Rosiana followed the steps of Mak Ejah who entered the house.

Mak Ejah is Rosiana's adoptive mother. She's been babysitting Rosiana since she was a child. Rosiana did not even remember who her real parents were because when she began to be able to remember, only the face of Mak Ejah crossed her head.

Rosiana placed her bag and leaned her body on the back of the chair. His eyes looked around him with an indecipherable look. He smiled as Ejah put a glass of water in front of him. Rosiana swiftly grabbed the glass and sipped the contents quickly.

After sipping the water given by Mak Ejah, Rosiana felt tired in her body disappeared instantly. It was one of the things he liked when he visited the house. Rosiana was always waiting for Mak Ejah to give her a glass of water. The magic white water, as Rosiana called it. Because every time he drank the water then all the restless and tired that he felt would disappear instantly without a trace.

Mak Ejah smiled at Rosiana's reaction after sipping the artificial water.

Suddenly the voice of a man was heard calling his name out there.

"Mak Ejaahh's...!. Where's the taro ?" ask a man named Usman from outside the house.

Mak Ejah rushed out to meet Usman.

"Please bring it in. Man ...!" mak Ejah said.

"Yes Mak" said Usman and then entered the house while carrying a large wooden box full of vegetables.

"Just come Ci ?" greet Usman because he saw Rosiana's bag lying on the floor just like that.

"Alhamdulillah well," said Usman as he stepped into the kitchen of the house mak Ejah.

Seeing the interaction of Usman and Rosiana who looked stiff made mak Ejah shake his head.

"Don't go anywhere first Man. Eat first, Mak cooked a lot today," said Mak Ejah while holding Usman's arm.

"But Mak ...," Usman's speech is interrupted because Mak Ejah cuts quickly.

"Ga there is but. Wash your hands there !" mak Ejah ketus.

With forced Usman to obey the will of Mak Ejah. He washed his hands outside the house and went back and sat down in front of Rosiana. Seeing Rosiana made Usman wrong. He just nodded without daring to raise his head.

Usman and Rosiana were friends during Junior High. The sweet and clever Rosiana had made Usman fall in love. Especially when Rosiana managed to get into the elite school through the path of achievement made Usman's admiration increase.

While sitting in the 2nd grade of High School, Usman tries to express his feelings for Rosiana but is rejected. Disappointed Usman finally chooses to marry his mother's chosen girl when they graduate High School.

And a year ago Usman divorced his wife for no apparent reason. Usman returned to the area and worked odd jobs to make ends meet. One of them helps mak Ejah buy vegetables and other kitchen needs.

Mak Ejah's words successfully made Rosiana and Usman wrong. Even Rosiana coughed to make Usman reflex thrust his glass towards Rosiana.

"Thank you" Rosiana said after sipping water from Usman's glass.

"Sama-sama," said Usman lirih with a red face.

Mak Ejah smiles satisfied to see the interaction of Rosiana and Usman. He believes that Usman's love for Rosiana is still there and Rosiana only needs to realize Usman's sincerity with her. Mak Ejah hopes that someday Rosiana and Usman can unite.

After finishing the food served by Mak Ejah, Usman also said goodbye. It seems that the man was impatient to shout to vent his happiness for drinking in the same glass as Rosiana.

That night Mak Ejah appeared to be asleep restlessly. Apparently the woman was having a nightmare.

In his dream, Mak Ejah seems to be brought back to the past decades. He saw the baby he gave birth to being forcefully snatched away. He was crying at that moment. She begged for a chance to hold her baby.

"Let me hold her for a moment. I promise only for a moment" said young Ejah.

"alright. Before midnight I'll come to pick it up. It's up to you to say I'm evil. I did it for the good of you and the baby" said one man.

Mak Ejah nodded and hugged the baby while crying. The man had asked her not to breastfeed the baby. But the maternal instinct he had led Ejah to give breast milk to the baby.

"I'm sorry, son. This is the first and last ASI you can give. After this we'll never see you again because you have to go far. Don't be naughty in a new place, son. Observe everything your foster parents say. May you stay healthy, strong and grow into a good child. If God wills, we will meet again someday" said Ejah, weeping.

Suddenly the door opened. The man was visibly angry when he found out Ejah was breastfeeding her baby.

"What are you doing ?!. Be aware that what you do can transmit disease to your baby !" said the man angrily while forcibly snatching baby Ejah from his embrace.

"Paba ... Saba..," said Ejah repeatedly.

"What do you mean ?!" ask the man while wiping the baby's mouth with water to remove traces of ASI Ejah from the baby's mouth.

"His name is Saba ..," said Ejah lirih as he extended his hand to reach the baby.

"Yes yes, I remember that. Don't look for him anymore or I won't help you anymore !" threaten the man while closing the door.

Mak Ejah woke up with sweat and tears on his face. He pressed his grip on the blanket while calling his son's name.

"Where are you now, son. How you're doing. Do you remember the same Mother who gave birth to you ...?" ask mak Ejah while sobbing.

And the voice of Ejah's mother was heard by Rosiana. He barged into the room and hugged his adoptive mother.

"Don't you remember Kang Saba again ?" rosiana asked with teary eyes.

Mak Ejah nodded and it made Rosiana sad. The thing that makes him weak is just to see Mak Ejah crying.

Yang Rosiana knew the baby boy Mak Ejah was taken away by Mak Ejah's father and handed over to someone else. Since the baby was forcibly taken, Mak Ejah has since decided to leave the house and ended up stranded in that place.
