151. Arafah Sick

Hilya was lying down staring at the ceiling of her room. Many times he let out a long sigh as if he wanted to take off the heavy burden that was in his heart.

After hearing the story of his three cousins, Hilya realized that he had 'lost' Nathan.

"Why did you give up when I started to open Nath's heart ...," muttered Hilya as she closed her eyes.

And when closing those eyes, Hilya saw Nathan's shadow milling in her mind. Nathan who was smiling, angry, confused and anxious alternately appeared to make Hilya's chest feel tight. And without Hilya realizing tears had fallen on her face.

For almost an hour, Hilya cried. After weeping, Hilya got up and rushed to the bathroom to wash her face. Hilya came back with a fresher face and a much better feeling.

Hilya stared at herself in front of the mirror for a moment and smiled.

"Don't cry anymore Hilya. If he's your soul mate, he'll come back to you. Otherwise, Allah will surely send a better replacement later," Hilya murmured with a smile.

After saying that, Hilya lay down and closed her eyes. Apparently Hilya had mengikhlaskan departure because he realized he was not worthy of a man as great as Nathan.

Two months later.

Hilya was shocked when she saw Ayu coming to the Hospital alone while holding Arafah. Ayu's face looks tense while Arafah continues to twitch in his arms.

"Bak Ayu !" call Hilya while rushing over to Ayu.

"Alhamdulillah, thankfully you are here Hilya. Please help Ma'am, Arafah is sick ...," Ayu said in a panic.

Hilya grabs Arafah from Ayu's arms and takes him into the IGD room. There Arafah immediately got help.

At that time Arafah's two eyes darted upwards, his body twitched because the little girl had a high fever to reach 40° Celsius. Doctors also suggested that Arafah be treated to easily monitor his condition later.

Hearing that Arafah will be treated makes Ayu more panicked. He believes that Arafah's illness is very serious and not an ordinary fever.

"Mbak Ayu gapapa right ?" ask Hilya carefully.

"I am confused, because Abinya Arafah is no longer at home for joining Ustadz Zulkifli to Solo," said Ayu.

"Try Nicko's phone or ... Nathan may," Hilya's advice hesitates.

"I'm here !. I will be in charge as long as Bang Fikri leaves. So Arafah hurts what's Ma'am ?" nathan asked from behind Hilya.

Hilya and Ayu looked at each other at the same time. If Ayu seems to smile with relief at Nathan's presence, Hilya seems a little nervous. Especially at that time Nathan also seemed to ignore the presence of Hilya there.

Then Ayu gets into a serious conversation with Nathan. Hilya went away quietly and returned to Arafat's room.

Now Arafah looks calmer even though several hoses are attached to his body. Apparently the blood levels in Arafat's body were below normal until doctors decided to do a blood transfusion.

"So what's the pain of this boy Doc ?" ask Hilya.

"We wait for the lab results tomorrow morning Sus. I hope this is not a serious illness" the doctor said with a smile.

"Aamiin ..," said Hilya lirih.

"Is she your family Sister ?" ask the doctor.

"Not doc. Her parents are friends of mine so this child is like my nephew" Hilya said with a smile.

"Oh so. Lucky parents this child responded and immediately brought him here. If not, maybe this child has died of blood loss Sus," said the doctor to make Hilya surprised.

After confirming Arafah was fine, the doctor asked Arafah's guardian to see him. Hilya hurried to tell Ayu.

"Now yes Ma'am," pinta Hilya as she passed.

"Yes Hil. Come on Nath, ask the doctor," asked Ayu.

"Yes Ma'am" Nathan said as he looked at Hilya's back away.

That night Nathan and Nicko stood guard outside Arafah's room while Ayu, Anna and Bayan were in the room. Ramadanti could not go to the hospital because she was pregnant. Nicko asks his wife to rest at home.

Soon the doctor came to visit with Hilya and another nurse. After checking Arafah's condition, the doctor came out of the room. When they passed Nathan, they ventured to greet the doctor.

"May I speak with Sister Hilya doc ?" nathan asked to surprise Hilya and everyone else there.

The doctor smiled and nodded.

"Alright doc," said Hilya quickly.

Then Nathan invites Hilya to talk in the hospital garden. Nathan stepped first while Hilya followed behind him. Hilya was shocked because her forehead hit Nathan's back which stopped suddenly.

"By the way the cake will stop" Hilya said as she felt her forehead.

"I'm sorry ..," Nathan said.

"What ?" hilya did not understand.

"Father. How are you doing ?" nathan asked as he looked at Hilya.

"Thank God, as you see. I'm fine," said Hilya quickly.

"Thankful is. I don't think it's news to make you sad or lost. Turns out I was wrong. And I just know now that I never really mattered to you" Nathan said with a bitter smile.

Nathan's words made Hilya surprised as well as happy. The girl even blinked her eyes many times because of the shock.

Thinking he had no response from Hilya, Nathan prepared to leave. But his steps stopped because Hilya blocked his arm. Nathan turned and found Hilya staring at him.

"Who is that girl ?" ask Hilya suddenly.

"Which girl ?" nathan asked while frowning.

"Ck. His hands are wrapped in bandages. I saw him as you are in the Hospital" said Hilya, glaring at him for not having the power to hide her blushing face.

"You ... jealous ?" nathan asked carefully.

"Ck, if asked, you can answer. Why do we have to go back to everything ?!" hilya ketus.

Hilya's jealous remarks made Nathan smile happily. Doesn't that mean Hilya also has the same feelings as her ?.

"Oh girl is my friend," Nathan said as he looked at Hilya softly.

"Just friends ?" hilya asked as she raised her head to be able to return Nathan's gaze.

"Yes. Why ?" nathan asked, bringing his face closer.

"I ... I don't like to see you walk with other girls. Especially while holding hands and giving the head of everything" said Hilya while bowing her head.

"So you're jealous ?" nathan asked again while touching Hilya's face to look at him.

"Do you need to be clear as well ?. Yes, I am jealous !. Satisfied with you ?!" hilya said as she looked at Nathan angrily.

Hilya's answer made Nathan laugh. With anxiety Nathan pulled Hilya into his arms and landed a kiss on the girl's head. Hilya hugged Nathan back while hiding her face there.

"Oh Allah, tired of waiting for your confession rich gini" murmured Nathan who could still be heard by Hilya.

"Sorry ..," whispered Hilya as she raised her head.

Nathan smiled and gently touched Hilya's face.

"Yes, I'm sorry I made you uncomfortable too. Honestly, I had a plan to go far away so I could not see you again if I could not confess to you tonight" Nathan said, to the surprise of Hilya.

" But you're not going, are you ?" hilya asked while breaking her embrace.

"You think ?" ask Nathan.

"Come on Nath. Why are you so riddled. I'm no pinter, so please don't tell me to be frantic," pinta Hilya.

"Oh pantesans. I was given a signal still cuek. You're a fool, yes" Nathan joked, laughing.

Nathan's words made Hilya glare. A second later, the girl laughed. He didn't even refuse when Nathan hugged him again.

In the distance Bayan and Anna appear to smile happily watching the happiness of Nathan and Hilya.

"It's very soon that we have to prepare a dowry to propose to Hilya Bund" Bayan said, clutching his wife's shoulder.

"Yes Well. But I'm calm. Mother was ready for everything long before they realized their feelings" said Anna with a smile.
