In The Rain

In The Rain
CHAPTER 46

“Invitation, the highlight of the city's birthday celebration. Guntur was elected the most tax-abiding citizen of the city and the mayor wanted to give him the award" Randy said.

The star did not think he would get the invitation. “They want to give you an award? Wh why? Why don't they give the award to a truly tax-abiding person?” as Guntur recalled several times delinquent in paying taxes, understandably people as complicated as Thunder is rather difficult to spend money.

Randy shrugged his shoulders. “Once again," he said. "Maybe it was because Thunder was the biggest tax contributor to this city so they declared if Thunder was exactly one or two times."

The starry stood up while shaking his waist, stepping into the window. He saw the rain that made him sad, because the rain this time was different from the rain two months ago, when there was still Raden. The starlight pressed her forehead against the cold window glass. Can he eliminate his longing for Raden?

The picture of the man was posted in the newspaper two days ago. Adit saw it and Laura hurriedly showed it to the Starlings. Another city that gave permission to land on Raden's airline. In the photo Raden shakes hands with the Mayor, smiling, revealing his white teeth on his charming face. Her hair was on her forehead. How much the Star wanted to touch that face, stroking it like it used to.

“You missed him huh?” ask Randy slowly.

“Thunder?” ask Gemintang.

“Not. Raden.”

Starry turned. “You know?” tanyanya surprised.

Randy's wrinkled face smiled meaningfully. “I caught something between you and Raden long before he returned home. Listen first..” Randy raised his hand when he saw the star opened his mouth.

”I'm not going to lure you. But when I was attending Laura's wedding, I saw you two as a woman. Really?”

“Ya.” Gemintang. "You're my best friend, Randy. When Thunder and I got married, I knew you were surprised, but you still tried to respect my decision." The star returns to face Randy. “At the moment too many people are not happy if Raden and I live at home. Though in fact, despite being married to Guntur, I never slept with her.”

“I know it.”

The starry laughs little. “You're full of surprises tonight. I thought you'd be surprised.”

“I know from the doctor who handled it, so I don't have to worry when I see you close to Raden, you and Raden are not wrong."

The starter sat back in his chair. “Do you know, if the inheritance was just plain sense to make Raden hate me and leave this house forever?"

“I know, more than you think.”

“If you knew he was that bad why did you stay friends with him for so long?”

“I'm just his lawyer. Thunder had no friends, he did not want to be friends with anyone. I stayed with him, in order to keep an eye on his movements, he never realized that I often protected his business.”

Gemintang fix elbows on the table and supported chin, while rubbing the forehead. “She does not deserve that award.”

“You want to hear my advice?”

“Ya.”

“Thank you, smile gracefully, after all now you are in full control of the business, the factory will be tax-abiding, so it will not cause any problems. ”

“I think you're right too.”

Randy stood up and the Starlings walked by his side, they stepped towards the door. “I will convey to them tomorrow that you are willing to accept the award representing Thunder.”

“Randy,” said Gemintang, stop at the door. “What to do, legally, for a home certificate name transfer on behalf of another person?”

This time the star really took Randy by surprise. “You don't want to sell it, do you?” randy asked, very surprised.

“No. I want to give it to someone else.”

Randy observes the face of the Starry and finds the answer there. That's why he didn't ask further. "This house is yours, you can do as you please with this house, there is no provision that forbids you to transfer it to others. Terms written only Laura should be allowed to stay in this house for the rest of her life.”

“I understand. It will not affect, the name change of this house.”

“If there is no problem if you want to transfer ownership. When you're sure that's exactly what you want.”

Gemintang. “When exactly is this city's birthday celebration held?”

“The trick was for one week, in the third week of October, but it peaked on the 31st. Still another month.” Randy put his hand on the door handle. “They asked for Raden's address. I'm sure they want to invite him too.”

The star turned his eyes away from Randy. “Can you change the certificate before the third week of October?” he looked back at Randy, the man smiling at him lovingly.

“You know, if I wasn't involved with the Buana family, I think I would have fallen in love with you" Randy said before leaving the Gemintang residence.

...ΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩΩ...

OI!

The starry stopped and turned towards the young girl who greeted him harshly. “You're talking to me?” ask Gemintang.

“Ya," replied Gemintang.

The young girl was roughly no more than twelve years old, but she was already wearing a shiny purple eyeshadow and a thick blue eyeliner. His black hair was cut short, combed upright at the top of the head. One of his ears was pierced by three. Colorful paper clips hung in every hole of his piercings. The other earlobe uses large star-shaped earrings that glitter. Her lips are polished white color lipstick.

Her clothes were no less crowded than her makeup. The green mini skirt is combined with a white shirt with a picture of blood red lips and an outstretched tongue. The stargazer thought the girl must be wearing clothes to play drama. What kind of parents would let a girl in such clothes roam the streets? But the girl caught his attention. “Where do you know my name?”

“I know Mr. Buana, Raden Sunrise Buana. But that was before. My name is Alyssa.”

The starry-eyed in surprise. This was apparently Willona's daughter, whom Raden loved dearly before his mother separated him from Raden. “How are you, Alyssa?”

“Good. You're the one who married Raden's father, aren't you?”

“With Thunder. He died a few months ago.”

“Sure, I know that. Everyone in this town knows. A while ago I saw you and Dad... I mean Mr. Buana at the supermarket.”

“Why don't you say hello to us?”

The girl shrugged her shoulders in a disrespectful manner. “Do not want it. Maybe you're not the same as me."

"Don't remember me, not me."

"Did?"

"I'm sorry I corrected your sentence."

"I'm the one who's sorry because both at home with my mom and outside I used to use Jakarta slang."

Heartbroken to see the girl, Willona seems not to teach Alyssa how to speak well to older people. In addition to seeing friends who were with Alyssa, the girls who were with Alyssa were like people who had just come out of rehab, there was even one of the girls who lit a cigarette, The starter could not hide his surprise, but hurriedly he tried to smile.

“How is your mother?”

“She's married again, somehow for how many times. What is clear is that her husband is now a very bastard. Worse than ever. I don't like living with him.” Then, as he realized he was talking too much about himself, he pulled away and said, “Mistress, I have to go.”

“Wait!”

Alyssa glanced at him from behind the polished lashes of pitch-black mascara, behind the over-the-top makeup the Gemintang saw rebellion, and fragility. It seemed like the little girl had to live behind a hideous mask and wanted to get out of there. “What if you play at my house once? I want to know you more.”

Alyssa sneered while snorting. “Do not pretend to be good to me.”

“I sincerely invite you to home.”

For some reason, Gemintang forced the girl to visit his house, he himself did not understand. The girl touched her heart in a way that she herself did not understand.

Raden must not like to see his beloved son look like a lonely girl. If he could help, Gemintang would like to help him. “I want to be your best friend.”

His eyes were casting a glint of doubt. “Why?”

“Because I often hear stories about you from your father.”

“Oh yes? What did he say?” His chin was slightly raised with a defiant attitude. Yet the Starling knew the girl was surprised and was interested in hearing it.

“Your father said you were a very sweet boy. He loves you very much and is very sad when it comes to parting with you.”

“But he's not my real father.”

“I know. But he loves you like his real son.”

The little girl bit her lips and the Starling felt for a moment that her heart stopped pounding because she saw the girl like she was about to cry. “Your father will come here in a few weeks to attend this city's HUT. How about you come and see him?”

Alyssa shrugged her shoulders. “Entahlah. I'm busy.”

“Oh, so. I thought your father would be so happy to see you."

Without replying, Alyssa glanced at her companions behind, who were waiting for her impatiently. “Sorry, I have to go.”

“I'm glad to meet you, Alyssa. Please consider coming to my house.”

“Ya, fine.”

The star looked at the girl who was walking down the sidewalk. The poor boy. But the feeling of the Star was happy to meet him.
