CHAPTER 31
"GOOD MORNING.” The starter entered the kitchen and directly stepped into the coffee maker. A cup full of coffee. As he walked towards the table, his eyes tried to avoid the sight of Raden, who was already sitting first in the room.
“I called the doctor this morning,” said Heny, flipping through the eggs in the pan.
“Doctor? Why?”
“Your face is very pale, which is why,” replied Heny. “I know you're sleep deprived. Look at the dark circles under your eyes, you need a sleeping or tranquilizing drug or something like that.”
“No, I don't need it,” replied Gemintang while sitting across from Raden.
“You know you're sad and grieving for your husband's passing, but you also have to take care of your health."
Gemintang glanced at Raden at a glance, apparently Raden was looking at him from behind a coffee cup. The starry look first. “I don't need doctor.”
Heny took a breath, paying no heed to the rejection of the Gemintang. “Hmmm, a lot of breakfast, at least,” said Heny. Stacked eggs on a plate, then thrust it in front of the Star. “Come, eat. I'm going upstairs, waking up Laura."
“Laura is not in her room,” replied Gemintang, while stirring the cream in her coffee. “So I went to his room before I got off.” The star wants to go down with Laura, but Laura is not in her room.
Raden put his fork on the plate. Heny turned around, his hand holding a plate filled with toast. “Where is he? You didn't see her this early?” ask Raden to Heny.
“I don't know, if I knew my soldiers wouldn't be planning to his room?”
Raden threw the napkin at the table and got up. He stepped to the back door.
“Raden!” shouts Gemintang while chasing after him, when he reached the steps of the terrace, Raden looked towards the stables. “Raden!” call the Starry while continuing to chase after him and speed up the pace.
Arriving at the door of the stables, he turned towards the Starling. “Shut!”
“You can't treat them that way, Raden!” prevent the stars, objection.
“Do not interfere.”
Gemintang felt they had to interfere because seeing Raden would destroy Laura's chance to get happiness. “Laura is not a child anymore.”
“Based on his thinking ability, he is still small.” Raden opened the door, he entered the building which was only illuminated by the small lamp, the Starling followed behind him.
Laura and Adit hear Raden's steps, they distance themselves from each other. But unfortunately, Raden had first seen Adit kiss Laura, his sister, with affection. Looking at Laura's body that was tied to Adit's body, seeing Adit caressing Laura's breasts.
Raden's angry screams made the blood of the Gemintang seem to freeze instantly. Raden went straight to Adit, grabbed his shirt, and threw it on the floor.
Gemintang believes Raden's actions, almost cracked Adit's fake foot.
Raden landed his fist in Adit's stomach and made Adit bounce to the side of the cage. Then, before he could stand up, Raden's fist hit his chin again.
Laura shouted while jerking her feet. He rushed towards the two fighting men, but the Gemintang grabbed him and pulled him to the edge.
Adit's warrior instincts rise and he stands up to avenge Raden. When a fist hit lodged in Raden's nose, making his nose bleed, Laura screamed again and ran away from the place.
“Stop!” screams Gemintang. “Stop, you two!”
Fists and feet hit each other. They wrestled in the stables, landing each other's fists.
The starling splashed between the two men who were fighting. “Stop. You're both. Have you lost your mind?” Finally Gemintang managed to stand between the two fighters, who were gasping and covered in blood.
When Raden was finally able to breathe normally again, he looked at Adit hatefully. “I want you to leave this place right now.”
“He will stay here,” sergeant Gemintang who turned his back on Adit and resolutely faced Raden. "He'll stay here until I fire him. Your dad asked me to hire him here, so I'm the only one who can fire him. At least, until the time of reading the will and you took your property, as well as this house. In the meantime, as the widow of your daddy, I'm the one who made up my mind regarding everything concerning anything here.”
“I know. All this has to do with Laura.” The chest of the Gemintang descended due to the burst of emotions. When he looked at Raden with a defiant attitude, he felt more and more in love with Raden and wanted to remove the wound on his face. But he did not give up on that feeling. “Adit does not use Laura at all. He loves her, Raden. Laura also loves him.”
“Laura doesn't understand what it does.”
“No, he knows. He loves Adit. Don't you have a conscience? If you tell Adit to leave, imagine what Laura thinks of you. You're the one he adores. He admires every step you take. Everything will break if you break her heart by acting like that. Please, don't do that, please.”
“This is for his own good.”
“How do you know what is best for him?”
“I know, I'm her brother."
"Are you going to separate them like Thunder separates us?”
Raden is like a man who got punched, even deadlier than Adit hit earlier. His eyes pusar stared at the Gemintang, but the Gemstar fluttered, without saying a word Raden left the cage.
The starry felt his entire body soul like it was flying, he felt his body go limp. For a while he stood in place, looking at the straw scattered on the floor with his eyes glazed with glass. He managed to corner Raden and the man must have hated his actions so much. Taking a deep breath, he raised his head and turned to face Adit.
“You all right?”
Adit nodded, wiping the blood on his lips with a handkerchief. “Ya as mistress see.” Adit tried to smile but then grimaced in pain.
“Let me ask Heny to treat your wounds.”
Adit nodded again and the Star turned around. When arriving at the doorway of the cage, Adit said, “Mrs.” Starry stared at. With a limp step Adit approached Gemintang. “Thank you, I really appreciate your defense for me.”
Gemintang smiled bitterly and headed straight for home. Fiercantly he entered through the back door. He saw Raden sitting on Laura's lap. Laura buried her face into Raden's neck and sobbed. “You're mad at me. I know you're angry.”
“No dear,” comfort Raden gently while stroking his back. “I'm not angry. I just don't want anything bad to happen to you, Laura, that's it.”
“What Adit did to me is not a bad thing. I love him, brother.”
Raden's eyes met the Starry eyes from behind Laura's head. “I'm not sure you understand what it means to love a man, Laura. Or what it means that the man loves you.”
“I know! I love Adit and Adit loves me. He won't hurt me.”
Raden did not want to admit his mistake. “We'll talk about this later. I'm sorry, I lost my patience.”
Laura did not want to be calmed down in that way. He lifted his head and grabbed Raden's shirt. “Kak Raden can't fight with Adit anymore. Promise me you won't fight with him again.”
Raden could not hide his surprise. He looked into Laura's eyes sharply and finally said, “I promise, I won't fight Adit again.”
Slowly Laura releases her clutches on Raden's shirt and sweetly kisses Raden's cheek. “I'll help Heny treat his injuries.” For Laura, the matter is over. He left the kitchen and climbed the stairs.
“I didn't go today,” Raden told Gemintang.
The Starry Heart surged in excitement, but it was only a temporary reaction. With a haughty attitude he raised his chin. “What made you change your mind? Are you afraid, when you are not around, I will affect your little sister and destroy your family reputation?”
Raden looked at Gemintang deeply, and replied, “Like that.”
Glassy Eyes. Raden knows exactly how to hurt a Gemintang. “For you, I'm just your stuff, right, Raden? You kiss me as much, but I'm never good enough to be a member of your family.”
“I didn't go.” That was all Raden said before he stepped outside the room.
