In The Rain

In The Rain
CHAPTER 34

Throughout the dinner, the stars were more silent. Whereas Raden announced the meal as a celebration of the success of getting a cooperation contract with the company Mr. Zacky. Heny and Laura were excited, and it was hard for the Gemintang to enjoy the excitement after receiving subtle insults in the super market this morning.

He saw Raden looking at him with eyes wondering because of his more silent attitude, which felt very disturbing. During dinner, Gemintang painstakingly tried to hide his frustration, but he failed.

After dinner, the stars take a walk in the courtyard. The night weather was cool and clean, a gentle breeze blew away the leaves hovering above his head.

The star is sitting on a swing under a big tree in the corner of the house. That's the part of his house he likes the most. There was the sound of ripples of river water flowing nearby, small plants growing bushy around it. With the tip of his shoe that barely pressed the grass the Starry let himself sway.

A few minutes later he heard footsteps, the steps were getting closer and without being able to avoid Raden had been standing right in front of the swing.

“What's up, Gemintang?”

“You must be a squirrel. You always manage to stalk me.”

“I'm not here to talk about squirrels. Answer my question. What's up?”

“How do you know I'm here?”

“Ya know only.” Raden held onto the swing rope, stopped its movement, and leaned towards the Star. “Say, this is for the last time I asked, what is it?”

The star turned his face away with fret. “Not anything‐apa.”

“There. Let's say!”

“No.”

“I won't leave this place before you answer my question. Mosquito bites here are very painful, especially getting late. So you'd rather be attacked by that bloodsucking horde, or you tell me what's bothering you? What happened at the factory? Me? Or what?”

“This city!” shouts Starry, exploding while rising.

Raden was forced to release his grip on the swing rope, the sudden burst of Gemintang anger pushed Raden over and gave way to the Gemintang. The Swing that the Starlings left behind swung. The starling walked towards the big tree, his hands were placed on the tree, and his forehead was leaning there.

“What's with this city?”

“This city is full of petty people!”

Raden laughed a little. “You just found out?”

“No. I knew that since I was a child, the Starry” turned around and leaned its shoulders on a sturdy tree trunk. “Only, I guess by having a bachelor's title, a good job, a new surname, will raise my status in their eyes, so that they do not demean me anymore.”

“You should know better. If you were born here with a certain label, that label would stick to you forever.”

“I know that. I just kind of forgot about it, and today I was reminded back.”

“What's up? Come tell me!”

Taking a breath, Gemintang mentioned the two names of the women he spoke to in the supermarket. Raden grunted rudely. “Just heard it I've been throwing up. But continue.”

“They... they say how lucky I, who still had you after Thunder's death, can stay one roof with you. They put pressure on that part of the sentence. They said.. well, you can guess what they said..”.

“They said we live more than just a regular family. So?”

The starfish raised its head, staring at Raden. “Ya.”

Raden. “They suspect that our relationship is not like a stepchild relationship with his stepmother?”

The star did not answer, but merely nodded.

“Forget the babble of the old women, Gemintang. Gossip is entertainment for them. If not to gossip about us, who else will be their gossip? As soon as the news of Thunder's death subsided, they would search around for other gossip materials.”

“Yes I think it's like that too. It's just that I can't bear to accept their insults so much. I don't like myself being the object of their gossip.” Their eyes looked at each other for a moment, full of affection, before being diverted.

“One of us cannot get out of this house before the legal affairs are finished,” Raden said, giving an excuse. “If one of us comes out, it will even more trigger people to gossip us?”

“As my father's wife, you mean.”

“Ya.”

“Why do they think I'm not happy with you?”

“Because of the background of my life first.” The star changed its position. Her clothes were stuck in the bark of the tree. “Because of the age difference between Thunder and I.”

When their eyes met again this time, there was no obstruction. “Later also passed,” whispered Raden while close the body to Gemintang. “I'll never like you being my daddy's wife.”

“Do not, Raden.” The starry wanted to distance herself, but the path was blocked by trees.

“Why did you unsettle that rumor, Gemintang?” asked Raden, softly, and closer to his body. “Don't nothing happen here."

“Of course.”

Raden kept tightening up the body. “No violation of the norm occurs between us, right?”

“Ya.”

“Lying.”

The last word came out of Raden's mouth in anger. Raden's thumb traced the Gemintang's throat, then another sturdy finger wrapped around his neck. With one thumb, Raden raised his head.

Whimpering softly, Gemintang turned his face to the side. But Raden did not let him throw his face away. “Come tell me, that every time you look at me, I'm just your stepson. Tell me you don't remember what ever happened between us. Tell me you don't remember what happened when it rained that day. Tell me you don't want me to kiss you again. Tell me you never want to feel my touch again. Can you tell me all that, Gemintang?” The only answer the Gemintang gave was a sobbing.

Raden's lips covered the lips of the Gemintang. Gemintang hit Raden with a bad feeling, but finally his hand stopped on Raden's shoulder and no longer refused Raden.

Raden further tightened his body to the Gemintang, Raden's lips kissed the lips of the Gemintang, demanding that the lips of the woman obey what she ordered. Raden's tongue licks the lip line of Gemintang.

“Reply my kiss, Gemintang. You want to kiss me too, right?”

The star meets that request. With a sigh of resignation, Gemintang wrapped his hands around Raden's neck. His lips were persuaded by Raden's tongue. The tongue finally entered the Gemintang mouth without a fight, greeted with warm and friendly. Raden stroked the lips of the Gemintang, making an explosion of desire that the Gemintang could not muffle, he was no longer able to fight it..

Without mercy again Raden arouses the desire of the Gemintang against him. His piercing kiss, emitting waves of longing in him that the Gemintang could not handle any longer.

Raden unbuttoned the Gemintang shirt, then slipped his hand into Payud*ra Gemintang wrapped in a frilly b*a. Raden's entire five senses tempered as his hand touched the thick and warm Gemintang breast. Get that payud*ra slowly.

Raden stroked the lace that covered the breasts*a Gemintang, looking for and touching the top with his fingertips. The touch gives pleasure to the Gemintang.

Raden drowned his head between the payud*ra and touched one of its peaks with his lips. The star felt the kiss rush to his stomach, even reaching the sensitive part.

The starry let go of his embrace to Raden. “Do not, Raden. I beg you not,” prevent Gemintang. She covered her breasts* with both hands, trying to dampen the stormy waves of passion. “I can't. We can't do it."

Raden felt his chest tight and hot, his hair tangled due to the rem*san of the Starry fingers. His eyes stared passionately, gasped to resuscitate him. “Why? Because daddy?”

Gemintang. “Not, no,” said Gemintang sadly while fixing his shirt. “Because of these villagers, I don't want to be the person they thought I was. I don't want to do what they imagine, immoral lowly deeds. First seduce Thunder, now his son.”

“I don't care what they think.”

“I care!” The star was crying, her tears were pouring down her cheeks. “As you said earlier, we will remain as we were born. You're bleeding Buana. Whatever you do, it will still be considered normal. They will not dare to criticize and insult you. But I, the one who comes from the lower classes, will always be wrong. I have to care what they think.”

Minutes passed, they looked at each other. Raden first looked away while making a mockery. “Can't I stay at home with you without feeling compelled to make love to you.”

“I know, I feel the same way as you do." The star wiped the tears on her cheek. “You understand why I can't be with you, Raden? What they say is true. I want you so badly. However, I am the wife of Thunder.”

“What will you do after reading the will?”

“One‐ the only thing I can do is leave this house.”

Raden nodded, then turned around and walked towards the house. While Gemintang sat on the swing bench while covering his face, he cried sobbing‐sedu.
