By the time they finished eating, the place was getting rowdy. More drinkers and dancers came than people who wanted to eat. Their voices are very loud.
Once they received the bill from the waiter, they went straight to the cashier at the end of the bar. Their food bills are being re-total as Raden orders one more soda before leaving the place.
“Definitely happy yes, there is directly 'entrance' again after Daddy left?” said one of the people who was not far from the two of them.
Raden's hand holding the money instantly did not move. Gemintang saw the veins on Raden's temple protruding and his jaws hardened in anger.
The man laughed. “Truely, Sam. There's nothing more fun than getting fresher than a daddy."
Raden calmly put the money in the bar.
“Raden, let's go,” invite Gemintang while holding Raden's arm. Raden brushed off the hands of the Gemintang.
The stars glanced around him, someone played down the sound of the music, the dancers stopped, and the others moved away from the two drunkards to make them realize what they had just embroidered.
When Raden turned to face them, his marah radiated a twinkle that scared the Gemintang. “What did you say?” Raden's lips barely moved when he asked the question, his voice calm and deadly. One of them glanced at his friend, then laughed out loud.
“Mr Buana,” said bar manager, “They are new to the city. They don't know anything about your family. They're just kidding. You don't need to care. I'll drive them away.”
That manager shouldn't have to interfere, because Raden wouldn't care about it. “What did you say earlier?” reload Raden in a louder voice. He approached the two men, who were standing near the bar.
“Hmmm, we just said, how lucky you are, because you have a father who bequeathed a poor but charming woman, before she died.”
The starling raised her trembling hand to cover her mouth and tried to avoid the glare of the eyes of those directed at her. He knew that all they remembered was that even though he was now living a better life, he still came from a poor family.
The man could hardly speak because he laughed at the skill of his friend. “Did your father teach him some tactics to please, widow, son? Did your father give...”.
The man could not finish his question because Raden's fist had first landed on his chin, making him float down onto the stage, the man had already fainted before his body touched the floor.
While the other friend, instantly awakened from his drunkenness, he immediately knelt down towards Raden in fear. “Ka... Ka's... We do not mean anything by his words, Lord Buana. We're just kidding..”
Rejecting no reason, Raden landed Raden's fist on his cheekbones. He screamed in pain and fell. Raden stood before him, his breath hunting, his fists clenched and then lowered to the side.
“Apologies to him,” his orders in a slow but threatening voice. “Now!!”
The man staggered with the pain, his hands holding his cheeks, as if to keep them from cracking. The only sound he could pronounce was an indistinct mutter.
The Gemintang immediately approached Raden and held onto his arm. “Already, Raden,” please Gemintang. “Let's go. He can no longer talk. I'm it's okay. Let's quickly leave this place. I can't stand to see all the eyes looking at me. Come on, quickly go!”
Raden shook his head as if to clear his mind. Then he turned towards the cashier, angrily brushed aside the pile of bonds, while putting the change in the pocket of jeans, holding the hand of the Star & Star, and leading him to the door.
He drove his car at high speed to the house, but the pickup engine was not a sports car engine. Raden was very upset when his engine finally coughed and could not run as fast as he wanted.
When he arrived home, he immediately went down and opened the car door for Gemintang, but he did not wait for Gemintang to come down, he went straight into the house. The star followed him and found him pacing back and forth in the study.
The star closes the door as it enters the room and throws the bag into a nearby chair.
Raden glared towards Gemintang . “You see what people think? They thought you were sleeping with my dad.”
“I used to be his wife. What should they think?”
Raden pulled out his hair. “I think I'm the laughingstock of this town. Everyone would love to talk about it. I took over what the old bandot left.”
“Have you ever thought about how I feel, what they think of me?” The star held his chest. “They thought I was seducing your father to marry me. Now they think I seduced my stepson. Whatever they say about you is not as bad as they say about me. I'm a really poor kid, remember? To them I am still poor and always poor."
"I'm sure the contents of the will are now a public secret. Everyone knows I didn't inherit anything. The whole city may know I'm begging you because you got this house.”
“Hey, hey they insulted me not you. After all everyone knows how successful your flight business.”
“They all know how much I love this place too. They probably think I'm like a stud horse to you so I can stay here.”
The star was slapped by Raden's hand. “I don't like you talking like that.”
“Why don't you want to talk about it? Let's face reality. Isn't that what I did?” ask Raden. “What is my purpose here? Laura already has Adit who can take care of her. Heny was busy all day like a hen. All I do is keep the hostess happy and content in bed.”
Gemintang eyes glazed with anger and heartache over the words Raden uttered.
“I felt so until I finally realized everyone thought I was replacing Thunder in bed.” Raden stepped to the door.
The starry felt her heart break into pieces as Raden closed the door, leaving the room.
