Offers

"How, Master? Do you approve my offer?"

The middle-aged man looked down. He knew the Marshal's offer was the one he had been waiting for. What he wants to sustain losses in his company so as not to experience bankruptcy.

But it's not that. That's not the problem he wants right now. He couldn't have followed Marshal's offer if he had to give up his youngest daughter as a shield to save the company. He can't and can't do it.

Viona is the only girl he has. Heru loved his son more than the company. But, things are confusing. If the company goes bankrupt, then the fate of his family will also be a bet. Her family will be affected and that means, Viona will also feel life suffering if the bankruptcy arrives.

No. gabe. Heru did not want to see his son and wife live miserable. He must try to save his company in order to maintain family happiness.

"Master, I just want to marry your daughter. I'll guarantee, if you give your daughter to me, then you can be sure if your company will not go bankrupt even though," persuaded the young man aged 28 again. He repeatedly made interesting offers to persuade. However, Heru did not also show any interest in her.

Heru looked at the Marshal wryly. Blaring firmly. He couldn't possibly give his son away if it had to be at stake for the sake of the company. After all, family happiness is more important than the company.

"Are you sure, Sir? My offer is very tempting and of course profitable" Marshal said with a smile. "Partially, I'm not sure of family happiness if your company erodes. You just depend on the company, and if the company stops, what will happen?"

Is correct. Marshal's words were correct and Heru thought so too. But he couldn't possibly be willing to let Viona go. "Sir, ask for something else if you want my reciprocity, as long as it's not my daughter, sir."

Marshal smile. Raise a glass of black coffee from the table and sip it a little before he saves it back. "Sorry sir, if I have to say this," said Marshal. "What can you give me, while your company alone is unstable. Even if you have something valuable, it might be better if it is used to support the company than given to me."

Always right. Then what should Heru do? He had indeed run out of ways to sustain the company, even if it was repaired with all the treasures he had, too, He thought it would not be enough because the problems his company experienced were too big to face alone. He needs investors who are willing to plant their shares with a large amount and all this time, Heru did not get it. Maybe all investors will also think twice if they have to invest in a company that is on the verge of bankruptcy.

Long Heru fell silent making Marshal grin with pleasure. He thinks Heru will approve of his wish. "So, how about, sir?"

Heru kept on shaking his head until Marshal had to sigh in looking at him. "My offer will only be made once. So, I guess you should consider it well!"

Deep breath, exhale. Heru stared at the Marshal intensely, he shook his head back. "Can't, Sir. I can't possibly do such foolishness" he said softly but with great emphasis.

The marshal must rack his brain to persuade this stubborn Heru. It seems, Heru was tempted by the Marshal's offer. However, his affection for his daughter was more important than his concern for the company. It was natural to happen and Marshal understood it very well. Which father would have the heart to give up his son just like that when there are people who ask him suddenly on the grounds of wanting to help his company. Unconsciously, it can be said sales action? Or still a smooth negotiation?

"Master," called the Marshal calmly, "i know, you're heavy on this. But, I really want your daughter for me to marry and I'm definitely going to help your company to get back on its feet and back on par in the position that it was before, it can even occupy the highest achievement if that's what you want. I'll guarantee everything's back to good."

Heru was still silent. Mind raging. However, his little heart was clearly impossible to do that. No matter how big of a problem he faces, there should be no casualties in solving it, that is his principle.

But, the chaotic mind slowly brought his thoughts towards selfishness. He was also confused and did not know what to do now. Moreover, the fate of the family and even the future of his son are at stake.

"I'll give you some time to think about it again" Marshal said, "and I'll wait for an answer to your agreement as soon as possible."

"Why do you want my daughter so badly? You don't even know each other" asked Heru. The question he wanted to ask from earlier but his courage was covered by the worry he faced.

Heru did not listen to the words of Marshal properly. His mind was still chaotic and difficult to explain. The company and the fate of the family are severely threatened and there is no other way he can go.

"Master?" marshal's call restores Heru's previously silent awareness of daydreaming. Heru smiled awkwardly at the Marshal with a difficult to decipher gaze. However, from the look, it is clear if there is confusion and anxiety there. "I will think about it, Sir," said Heru reluctantly.

Marshal smiled happily. That way, it was likely that his offer would be approved by Heru.

***

"Huhh, so tired!"

Viona threw her body onto the bed. Today was exhausting for him. In the afternoon, he just came home because of the many activities on campus that are so time and energy consuming. All he wanted now was to smash down and try to close his eyes. Let his body not be cleansed, either. Tiredness leads him to a feeling of laziness even though it is just walking to the bathroom.

Viona turned her head towards the door when she heard a knock. Heru's head appeared there. Behind the door that opened a little. "Can Papa come in?"

Viona, who was lying down, immediately sat herself down and invited her father to enter. "What's up, Pa?" viona asked as Heru was already sitting beside her.

Heru smiled stiffly. His face began to show doubt making Viona so astonished. "Why, Pa?"

Heru shook his head and smiled. He didn't want to say it but things were demanding. Inevitably Heru had to tell Viona everything. Although it will feel very heavy and Heru is sure if his daughter will refuse.

It had been a week since hearing the Marshal's offer. Instead of getting a solution, Heru was even more depressed with the situation. His company was already on the edge and inevitably Heru had to say his intentions to Viona as the final path he could take despite being very difficult to do.

"Papa ..," Several times Heru sighed and exhaled to relieve the tension. However, he cannot. She doubted. She was afraid of being anxious and unwilling to let Viona go. "papa, want to say something to you."

Viona who was already overwhelmed with curiosity, could only fall silent. Waiting for what Heru will say.

Looks like Papa will say something serious until it looks doubtful like that. What exactly is Papa going to say? viona's inner voice was astonished.

"Son, papa's company is in an emergency. Everything is no longer able to maintain because papa already does not have enough costs to sustain losses and other problems." Heru sighed heavily, looking at Viona's face fixedly. "Papa had no other choice to save him. There are only two choices you can make. Selling off all assets to cover the loss or, "Heru hangs up again the sentence makes Viona even more curious. "you're the helper."

Viona frowned inside. Not understanding the meaning of Heru's words. What can he help the company? College alone has not graduated and Viona has absolutely no understanding about taking care of the company. "I mean Papa, how? Can I help you?"

Heru held Viona's hands gently. He smiled again with a sad look. His heart said he could not do this. But, her selfish mind was forced to give up Viona as a pedestal. "You must marry Mr. Marshal to save our company."

Viona was silent for quite a long time digesting Heru's speech. However, a second later he immediately asked in a firm tone so that Heru explained everything correctly and Viona could believe that what Heru said was not just a joke.
