"Are you sure, Clara?"
"We don't have much time!" Reply while shouting. "I'm sure that's the place!"
Without saying anything more, Sana nodded, then pulled the hand of Clora who was no longer fighting back, and entered the narrow house. Suddenly he stopped his steps again, and looked back.
"Clara, do you need any help?"
I shook my head quickly. Now I was picking up the still unconscious Chrys, and my legs were now shaking violently from not being able to hold her weight.
"Not minding me" I said on the sidelines of my breath. "Zeyn can catch up with us anytime. We have to hurry before he catches us."
Click! Luckily, Chrys's little house is unlocked. Sana hurriedly tied the end of the rope that was holding Clora's hand to the end of a table, then came back again to help me.
After the door was locked, we immediately laid Chrys on his bed. The woman then re-enveloped Chrys's body with her white light, returning to work so that the man could soon awaken.
For a while, no one spoke, including Clora. The woman moved her eyeballs, busy watching the house. The dark black painted walls, which now had a completely different aura than before.
There are no more small, sparkling stars, which are usually scattered like light powder on the surface of the wall. It is as if the warmth and comfort of the house just disappear, along with the condition of the homeowner who still has no progress.
"This...his house?" Clora muttered while shaking her head. "I didn't expect. I never thought"
"Never thought of what?" Cut me while crossing my arms. "Never thought it would be this scary?"
"No," he said, shaking his head. "I wouldn't be surprised anymore if the atmosphere was indeed gloomy. What do you expect from Chrys? It's just..." Clora sighs. "How do I explain it? I didn't think he'd survive this long. He must be very lonely."
If you were here at the time, I thought. When Chrys creates light in the midst of darkness. At that time the atmosphere was completely different than it is now.
"What makes you say that?" Ask again. I sat on the floor, straightened my legs, which began to cramp.
Even the floor was cold, as if there was never any sunlight that warmed this crowded place.
I shivered and hugged myself.
"You mean why he's been able to survive until now?"
"No," I replied. "I mean, the way you describe Chrys. Lonesome. As far as I know, he doesn't like to hang out with other people."
"You really don't know anything, do you?" Clora shook her head. Now what was drawn on his face was no longer a hatred of Chrys. No more anger or wrath because we have been willing to drag him here. All there is is is grief, and a deep sense of regret.
"Chrysch... He's actually a good kid." Clora started explaining everything. He still did not dare to look me in the face. I don't know what he's thinking now.
"He was my friend when I was in school. We practiced together, even though our magic classes were different. You could say, he was my first friend. You'd be surprised, 'cause Chrys is the most popular kid, '" explains Clora again. "He's the greatest fighter. No one can beat his ability."
"But everything began to change when Zeyn was present in the middle of our lives. The man was arguably a Chrys rival. He is a man who is admired by everyone. He has a brilliant idea. He is gentle, especially to women. Besides that he's also-"
"Stop." I cut it right away. "You don't have to explain all the positives that Zeyn has. Unless you want me to throw up in front of you right now."
I didn't expect Clora to smile. He nodded, then continued his explanation. "I became interested in Zeyn, even though I knew I wouldn't have a chance with him. I still clearly remember when he would choose me as one of his group members. I thought it was just a dream."
"After that, what happened to Chrys?" My toot. I don't want to hear Clora's explanation for Zeyn anymore. I'm just curious about Chrys's past, why he's now ostracized from society. Why is everyone afraid of him.
"One day, Chrys's parents die horribly. Their house is burning. But no one knows who did it."
I'm slack. "And? Everyone blamed him?"
"At first Chrys was only put on the list of suspects. But in the end he was arrested and imprisoned."
"Why?" Anger began to flow within me. "That's right! They just took him without proof?"
"That's because Chrys wasn't in his house at the time. So he's the only suspect."
My head started to get dizzy, and I looked back. The woman was still busy casting her magic, trying hard so that Chrys could wake up soon.
Could that be the reason why he hates sunlight so much? Because it reminds her of that day? When the house burned down without any noise?
"Too bright. I don't like it." Chrys once said that. After that he pulled the window curtains to block the sunlight.
"There's no time limit to going outside, right?"
At that time, he deliberately went out of the house when the sun no longer appeared. Why am I just realizing it now? I think it's because he's used to locking himself up in his own house.
"Why did you just tell me this?" Whisper to Clora. I raised my head and looked at him. "I don't get it. Who are you on whose side?"
"At that time you obviously looked at Chrys as a person who. Like a demon that can't be forgiven."
Clora laughed amusedly. "He's dangerous, Clara. You just don't know him very well. He even blew up a whole school building so that the guards could not catch him. He made everyone hurt. Some even took their lives because of it."
The deg! It's definitely not something I want to hear from him. I can't believe Chrys ever did that.
Clora spoke again with a flat expression. "Do you know how long he's been in prison?"
Right at that moment, there was a loud coughing sound. I looked up and stood up.
"Chrys's? Chrys!" I touched both his shoulders. The man opened the eyelids of the matany, but soon his eyes closed again. "How's he doing, Sana?"
"It's getting worse" replied Sana nervously. "Claras. You better explain what happened back then. I've never met a patient whose strength is this weak. He could die if left like this."
Without protesting I explained everything briefly. How Chrys's body could suddenly be weak after he brought me to practice. I also explained about the black shadow that had possessed me.
"That was Chrys himself. He deliberately did that so that I could gain experience" I explained.
Sana. "The man has lost his mind. He should still be lying down and resting, instead of going to Clora's house and looking for you."
"Searching?! Who said it"
Chrys suddenly groaned. I panicked back. "There! Please!"
Now I can see the two eye bags that adorn the woman's face. Where the magic must have drained a lot. It made my hopes drop dramatically.
"What can we do now?" Whisper me with my throat stuck. I looked at the poor man's face with pity and sadness, then touched his forehead with the back of my hand.
Warm.
The woman's words are right. His condition is getting worse.
"For a case like Chrys, one must transfer warmth to his body. Usually Fae with the same magic class can donate his magic to him. But since no one here has the same magic as Chrys, then..." Sana sighed softly. "I'm sorry, Clara."
No. gabe. My chest suddenly tightened. I don't know why I care so much about Chrys. "There must be another way. There's gotta be."
I sobbed, then gripped firmly on Chrys's sleeve. "Here? Why are you keeping quiet? You're a Fae Healer..."
"Didn't you just hear what he said?" Clora said from behind. He was about to get up, but realized that his hand was still tied to the rope. "There's nothing to do anymore. Just relax."
"Suddenly?" I turned slowly towards the woman sitting quietly on the floor. "Easy then?"
In the blink of an eye, my hand was already clutching the collar of Clora's shirt. "You don't know anything about him! You think this is easy?!"
I kept shouting, venting my anger straight into his face. But Clora simply fell silent, closing her mouth tightly.
"Everything you've ever said about Chrys. That's wrong." I'm shaking. "I'm sure there must be some misunderstanding. I don't think he deserves to be a prisoner for years."
"Claras... Chrys is dangerous"
"No. That's enough." I took off his collar violently. "I don't want to hear anything anymore."
"But it has something to do with you."
It felt like there was ice flowing in my blood circulation, making my body sculpt.
"Maybe you've never seen Chrys, but he entered your house when you were a kid."
This time I looked back at Clora's round eyes. Of course I know that. Chrys was the first Fae I met in person when I was a kid. But the question is, how did he know that?
"I saw it directly. Chrys also blew up your house with his magic."
I clenched my hand furiously. "Don't lie."
"I'm not lying" Clora said confidently and without hesitation. "If you don't believe me, just ask yourself if Chrys is a killer."
How visual? Does it match Clara and Chrys?😆
