"really? Can I do that?" Whisper to myself. "Where do you know that?"

Clora rolled her eyeballs. "Don't you realize that every time you fall asleep, you're always mumbling something? You always say, 'This is future life. This is what should have happened.'" Clora stirred up the soup. "And by the way, I don't like this soup."

Kei. "Same. Human food is too much." Kei flaunted his clean white teeth to me as I glared at him. "It's stolen food. From man."

"You stole it from a human?!"

"That's Clora!" Kei hurriedly pointed at him. Clora snorted and folded her hands. "What's? Don't look at me like that!" They eventually accused each other.

I could faintly hear Zeyn muttering, "Shameful." The man's eyes turned to me. "Can you show me the future of our people? I'm not gonna ask for anything." Zeyn smiled at me. Shit, insider. Why should he smile like that?

"I'm not sure I can do that" I said. I didn't want to disappoint them, but they seemed to have high expectations of me. "I'm just a normal human being. I can't help you guys."

The room became quiet. Clora and Kei both looked at me with sadness as well as disappointment. "But I saw you then!" Clora hit the table hard. The wind instantly blew, smashing directly into my face. Kei calmed her down immediately. "Clora, don't be angry."

"Don't bother me!" Clora banged. His face began to heat up. The girl then looked at me haughtily. "Clara, tell me you can see the future."

I was surprised to hear his words. "Look, okay?" I also got up from the chair. "First, you've forced me to follow you. Now, you guys insist that I can see the future?" I let out a small laugh. "Even just believing you're real is still hard for me." I walked out of the dining room. Zeyn suddenly stood up and held my wrist.

"What?!" I rebuked. The man was surprised at my attitude. I just fell silent, waiting for the reply that would be said by him. "I know this is too..." Zeyn. "I know this is all weird for you." Zeyn still didn't let go of his grip on me. "But we really need your help. Can I explain everything to you?"

My frustration and anger subsided the moment I saw Zeyn who exuded an aura of sadness and regret. Maybe this guy understands my true feelings.

"All right." I could see both of Zeyn's shoulders being lowered from relief at my reply. "But I don't want to see him anymore." I glanced at Clora who was also watching us. His eyes shifted towards the hand that Zeyn was holding. The girl..jealous?

Zeyn smiled again. "alright. We'll talk about it again in my office. In the meantime, maybe you can visit your friend." Zeyn led me outside the room. This cottage has two floors, and my room just now is located at the very end. Zeyn climbed the stairs, probably wanting to return to his private room. I wanted to ask him about the room where Jon was treated, but I hesitated. Luckily the man turned around and showed me the direction.

"Away from your room. The door is white."

"Ah, thank you." Stupid, why can you forget, Clara?! My inner.

***

I opened the room door slowly. A white light flashed, and I found a blonde-haired Fae. The wings are snow white. The woman was busy playing the light that enveloped Jon's body. He was not even aware of my presence.

I remembered Kei's words about a Fae Healer. Perhaps they were similar to doctors in the human world, they could cure the other Fae.

I didn't want to bother him, so I just fell silent. Fae then turned around, then I could see his face clearly. Immediately a feeling of envy hit me. There is no ugly Fae, I just realized.

"Are you his friend?" Fae smiled at me. Her tone was similar to that of a mother, even though I did not have a mother. I'm nodding. Fae was wiping his sweat. "I've healed most of his wounds." The woman shook her head. "What a pity for a human being. This wound is very dangerous."

I'm sitting next to Jon's bed. I tidied up her black hair that pierced her eyes. I took care of Jon when he was very ill. At that time, Stef took time off from his job and took care of him.

And from then on, we were best friends, and I was a new person in Ratterdam. They helped me find a place to live, even though I was a poor villager and only had savings that were not up to a year. It was my hardest time when I was wandering from the village. I should always save money, and look for other jobs besides being a writer. Because actually, being a writer is his life is uncertain.

I don't know how long these two friends have known each other. They never told me about their past relationships. When we got together, they looked happy. However, I did find Jon yelling at Stef in the office hallway. Their relationship almost broke, if it wasn't for me breaking up their quarrel. Stef just held back his stuffing and explained nothing to me.

"We're just fighting over the usual stuff" Jon once told me. "I know him well. We fight often." After that, it must always be followed by temptation. I never thought about their relationship again when Jon finally became my girlfriend.

"I never lied to you! I love it, but it's yours!" Stef's words filled my mind. Could they have ever had a relationship? Then why didn't anyone tell me that? Are they afraid I'll be offended?

Door knocked. Before long, Kei's head narrowed from the door. "Can I come in?"

"Yes," I replied briefly, still half pensively thinking about my past. Kei was standing next to me. "Huh," he sighed. "It's a pity, even though for a human being, he's handsome."

I laugh. "Some agree with me eventually."

"Who disagrees?"

"So far, nothing yet." Then I remembered Zeyn's handsome face. When compared to Jon's face, maybe Zeyn is much more beautiful. "Did Clora like Zeyn?"

"Huh?" Kei laughed out loud. I told him to be quiet so as not to wake Jon who was asleep. "Clora? That angry girl?" Kei wiped away his tears of joy. After his laughter subsided, he shook his head. "I don't know. As far as I know, Clora always snapped at him, even though Zeyn was our Chairman."

"Chairman?"

"Chairman Ventus" said Kei. "Grey wings are called Ventus. Zeyn is the leader of the Fae Ventus."

"Oh, I see," I nodded in understanding. "Then, that white wing earlier was Fae Healer?"

"Yup," Kei gave a thumbs up. "There are so many groups for Fae. Each one can create a different magic. Ventus can manipulate the wind, while Healer uses his white light to heal Fae."

"Then what's Chrys like? What magic can he create?"

This time, Kei was silent. Her happy expression disappeared. I immediately felt guilty. I shouldn't have mentioned Fae's name, Fae who was hated by them. "Chrys is a Fae Light," Kei finally answered me. "He has a talent for manipulating light. Their group is dangerous."

"Why?" I immediately knew the answer when I remembered what Chrys was capable of at that time. He can remove an object, even to the point of absorbing light from the lights in my house.

"They can bend light so as to make an object invisible. That's one of their tricks."

One of?! I'm dumbfounded. What other tricks can he do?
