Ch.15 - Blind

Kei didn't even notice the moment Clora was already standing right behind him. He continued to look towards the front, where Sana had just disappeared along with Jon's body.

"Key?"

"Ohhhh!!" He shouted in surprise. He immediately turned around and exhaled a sigh of relief as it turned out that it was only Clora.

"Don't surprise me like that!"

"How do I know you're daydreaming?" Clora then followed the direction of her gaze. "What's wrong with Jon?"

Kei immediately pulled his friend's arm, then whispered something in his ear. "I found something strange about her."

Clora frowned.

"Someone has put a Fae Ventus powder in his eye."

Clora sculpting. "Who would do that to a man?! Is the culprit a Fae Ventus?!"

Judging from the look on his friend's face, Kei can't guess who did it, because Fae Ventus who knows Jon is just the three of them.

"Zeyn"

"No way," Clora shook her head. "I was with him. Besides, this must have happened recently, because Jon was treated by Sana, and there's no sign of ash powder in his eyes yet."

Kei nodded, though in his mind still thinking who was roughly as careless as it was to put Fae's dangerous substance into the eyes of a human.

The two of them were now in front of Jon's room. Kei knocked on the door, and the door was instantly opened by Sana.

"How's the condition?"

"It's not as bad as yesterday's wound."

"Would the Fae powder in his eyes be fatal?"

"Because there's never been a case like this, I'm not sure." He rolled his eyes, trying to think. "But if based on my logic, maybe only his vision was impaired. After all that Ventus powder is a small part of the power of Fae Ventus, so that man certainly will not get the power of a Ventus, because he is human."

After Sana's explanation, Clora was sitting sweetly by Jon's bed. He did not know if Jon was awake, because his eyes were wrapped around and covered by a white cloth.

"I... why?" Ask in a hoarse voice. Clora hurriedly took the water from the table, then gave it to him.

"Don't get me wrong" he told Kei. Well, maybe it's because Zeyn accepted me, or maybe it's because I feel sorry for this guy because I can't see anymore.

"Why can't I see anything? Why dark?" Jon stretched out his hand, reaching for the wind.

Kei approached her while crossing his arms. There was also a look of pity and guilt in his eyes. "Jon. you-"

"Am I blind?!" Jon had already touched his own face, then opened the winding of the cloth.

Clora gaping. Perhaps due to the healing effect of Sana's magic, her eyes clearly looked different. His eyelids were open, but the color of his eyeballs had changed.

Turned into ashes.

It looked horrible like a living corpse.

"Why this?! What happened to my eyes?!" The sad Jon. "Please! What have you done to me?!"

"Jon, calm down!" Kei was about to calm him down, but Jon immediately brushed off his hand and got up from the bed.

"You are evil, you are evil" he said, breathing profusely. "I never knew a proud creature like you could be cruel either."

If usually Clora would scold anyone who had spoken dirty about the Fae, this time she just fell silent. He himself is not sure why. Maybe because he also felt guilty for what happened to Jon. That poor man is now completely hopeless.

"Where are we when we need it?" Bisik Kei's. Jon was still busy stretching out his arms like a blind man. Clora can't do anything with her Vent magic.

"I'll call him. You, take care of him. Don't let him make a fuss." After that, Clora had already left the room.

Outside, his mind was filled with Jon. Jon, the human guy who's always been hit by misfortune. Had Clara accepted it and the two of them had already left Fae territory, perhaps their fate would have been much different than it is now.

"Now, look," Clora laughed without a sense of humor. "You haven't been around for two days, Clara. And your friend is turning into a blind man."
