"It looks like they found a basement. We can't frame them again on charges of destroying your property."

"Please kill them all blue priest lord. If left unchecked, my identity will be exposed and no longer accepted in this city."

"That's pretty hard. I have prepared a hundred damned beings to anticipate this situation. But I'm not sure if that's enough to kill all five."

"I-I will give a thousand gold to the blue priest lord as a token of gratitude."

"Hahahaha, you are indeed a smart trader! Alright, I'll also intervene in favor of those creatures killing all five."

The merchant let out a bitter sigh. The advantage he gained over the six months of helping the Blood Star Church was two thousand gold coins.

With this incident, he had promised to hand over fifty percent of the illicit money to the blue priest in front of him.

Alex and the others surround a secret passageway that leads to the basement.

The secret path was hidden behind a shelf of medicine cabinets, after which all five scoured the first floor to find the path that led downwards.

As usual, Jean threw a light stone down the stairs to light their way.

"I'll lead in front."

Christopher stepped down the stairs with a sword in both hands, followed by Mina, Jean, Alex, and Big Three at the very back.

At the end of the stairs, the five found a spacious room that gave off the smell of medicine.

Four light stones illuminated the room at the four corners of the wall, and a light stone of considerable diameter hung in the middle of the room's sky.

"There's a way there!"

Mina pointed at the wall opposite to them. A tunnel was cut off by black darkness.

Grrr...

"Something's approaching!"

The five put up a fighting position when they heard a growl from the direction of the tunnel.

They heard the sound of running footsteps coming from the tunnel. Not just one, they heard many steps that caused those sounds to echo into each other within the room.

A figure with the entire appearance of a pitch-black body began to be seen in the part of the tunnel that was exposed to light from the room, the creature was followed by other similar creatures behind it.

"That's a cursed creature. We're gonna have a hard time fighting in a closed room, let's go back upstairs!"

Alex pulls out two shots killing the doomed creature ahead, then warns the others to go back upstairs first.

Alex felt a gust of wind and saw a huge body running towards the tunnel.

"You run first. My hands have been itching since."

Hearing the hazy word from the Big Three, Mina and Christopher were somewhat offended. The two looked at each other with a smile on their lips, then nodded and ran after Big Three's huge back.

"Bright... They're hard to work with."

"Hurry up Leon, do you want to be left behind?"

Alex shook his head when he saw Jean who was also running following the three.

Big Three's huge body did not block his fast running speed. Before the damned creatures reached the end of the tunnel, he had arrived first and then stomped both of his palms towards the ground. "Wall nails"

A wall rising from the ground level covered the entire tunnel entrance into the room.

Alex who had approached the four heard the sound of flesh being pierced by a sharp object behind the ground wall that the Big Three had just made.

"Now!"

The wall only lasted for three seconds before it began to slowly disappear.

In response to Big Three's cry, Mina streamed the mana on her wand and pointed it towards the wall that began to disappear.

"Tide wave."

Alex sees three bodies of cursed creatures filled with many holes due to collisions with Benzir's magic, before they and a group of cursed creatures behind him are dragged by Mina's water magic.

"Preserve position in the mouth of the tunnel. Don't let them get away so we don't get surrounded!"

No!!! No!!! No!!!

"Wire, they also sprung up from the direction of the stairs we passed earlier."

Jean shouted to warn the others.

"The three of us will face them. Big Three, Mina, you're still holding back the damned creatures that came through the tunnel!"

Christopher darted first leaving Alex and Jean still standing at the mouth of the tunnel.

The two looked at each other and then darted following Christopher who began to attack the enemy.

Alex took out a metal stick as his weapon. The day before, the main body had bought the weapon from Benzir to prepare for this attack.

Alex pours some mana into a stick and hits the head of a nearby enemy. Then he leaned his head back to avoid the surprise attack of the cursed creature's fist on his right.

He did not even glance at the fist that passed his shoulder. Instead, he swung the metal stick, smacked it towards the waist and threw the creature into the group of damned creatures behind him.

Alex's vision glides, and part of the creature's path becomes empty. The crashed creature dragged the other six along to a corner of the room.

Jean appeared behind me a moment later. His dagger came out, but Alex gestured him to calm down.

Alex pulls out the gun he keeps and points the muzzle of the gun at the seven cursed creatures piled in the corner.

Dor!!! Dor!!! Dor!!!

The gun fired fourteen precise shots at the heads of each of the damned creatures.

The seven damned creatures were motionless to make sure his life was over.

Alex returns the gun to the inventory and leaves his main body on the other side to replenish his ammunition. He did not want to save a single bullet of his in the midst of this frenzied situation.

As Alex turned his gaze to the left, he was shocked to see the number of cursed creatures that had already entered the room.

Standing in front of dozens of cursed creatures was Christopher, his blond hair fluttering like a flag amidst his swift movements slashing at the enemy using a sword.

Wossh.....

"Be careful!!!"

From behind Alex, Jean screams as she sees a fireball rapidly shooting towards Christopher.

Christopher was too focused on attacking the horde of damned creatures in front of him. When she heard Jean's scream, she realized the fire magic that shot out a few meters before hitting her.

"Wind wall."

Jean swiftly unleashed a wind magic that confined Christopher and a fireball in the air. Even so, the impact of the fireball attack was only reduced by half.

Booom.....

Christopher bounced from where he stood to the center of the room. He was lucky enough that the damned creature still had not filled the area so he could recuperate from the attack.

"Are you okay?"

Alex is quite worried about Christopher. It was fortunate that Jean was able to put up a wind barrier in time. Otherwise, the full attack of fire magic just now was enough to cripple Christopher.

"Not too bad. I brought recovery potions to heal my wounds. Be carefull! It seems like there are members of the Blood Star Church who are hiding."

Alex heard Christopher's voice from behind the smoke from the impact of the fire magic attack earlier. After making sure it was safe, he again pointed his metal stick at the group of damned creatures.

"It looks like my attack failed. That's a pity."

The sound of footsteps rang down the stairs leading to the basement. Following footsteps, the heavy voice of a man was heard laughing at their state.

The three immediately focused on the figure. A hooded robe in dark blue enveloped the entire body of the figure slowly descending the stairs.

"Blue map!"

Jean clenched her hands hard on each of the dagger handles in both of her hands.
