The Purpose of Child Abduction

"For the first two months, Galus and I had kidnapped five children from the slums. Even so, I don't know their purpose towards the kidnapped children. The two of us just drove the children to the border town of Xyras, and gave it to a blue priest named Anya." Jean went on after telling her the beginning of her infiltration into the Blood Star Church.

hearing Anya's name, Alex held back the anger in his chest. He would not forget that person, the blue priestess who helped Tio in the massacre in Rod village a few days earlier.

"Three months ago, after they thought I was gifted in magic, pastor Anya handed over the task of sending the kidnapped children to me as a lesson, as well as showing me the power and greatness of the Blood Star Church." Jean continues.

"It was close to the time of the first outbreak in the village on the outskirts of the Great Forest. Could it be that the blue priestess Anya gave her duty to you because she was related to it" Alex interjected from the side.

"I don't know about it. Is the plague you're referring to someone with a fever?" Jean asked worriedly.

"True, I passed through many villages in the southeastern part of Xyras city a few days earlier. Of the dozens of villages, only a few villages remain that still have residents. The rest is already an uninhabited village."

"So the information the trade union gave was correct." Zeff muttered little by the side. His body trembled slightly, when he imagined the villagers being crushed by the Blood Star Church.

No different from Zeff, Jean was also sad and her body trembled a little with anger. "I'm sorry for being part of their plan."

"No need to apologize. Just continue what you said!" Said Alex.

"When I sent the kidnapped child in the third month, I knew their true purpose. Turns out they did an experiment with the boys, to make a potion containing a curse that would create a black creature, like the one you fought in the slums." Obviously Jean.

Alex nodded in understanding the purpose of the kidnap.

"There was a genius alchemist who was the main researcher there. I should have killed that alchemist before! I think they'll still need a little longer to complete the experiment." Jean clenched her hand.

He had closed his heart when he let the kidnapped children die for their experiments, in order to infiltrate deeper and deliver attacks that the Blood Star Church could not repair.

Now that he felt it was in vain, the plan of the Blood Star Church had gone ahead and he did not realize that he was already a part of their plan.

.The members of the Blood Star Church were very careful regarding their information in doing things. Even he who was already considered a talented grey disciple, did not know the experiment had succeeded and caused many villages to become victims.

"Could it be that this alchemist is conducting a different experiment than before." Zeff said breaking the mood sadly.

"What does Mr. Zeff mean?" Ask Alex.

"Didn't the outbreak first appear two months ago?"

Alex nodded in response to the question.

"It's possible that this alchemist wanted to make something even more terrifying than the previous potion!"

"That's possible! Since two months ago, that alchemist assistant told me to bring more small children as trial materials." Sela Jean's.

The three of them looked at each other with worried expressions. If what they were thinking was right, then something more terrifying than the extermination of the villages on the outskirts of the Great Forest would happen.

"Where is their research? We must immediately kill the alchemist you mentioned, before the experiment he conducted is over!" Alex Exclamations.

"Don't rush! To deal with the Blood Star Church, we must make a mature plan." Zeff calmed the two down first.

During his adventure, he had several times taken on a mission that turned out to be related to the Blood Star Church.

Although at that time all he had met were grey disciples, many of his fellow adventurer groups had fallen victim to the mission.

The two nodded their heads before being continued by Zeff, "You guys rest for now. I will immediately contact the three golden adventurers in the city to help. Before that, what are we going to do about those two people?" Show it to the two people tied to the floor.

"We're going to kill both of them anyway. I will torture the two to death, and give them recovery potions to recover them, then go back to tormenting them and repeating them constantly before killing them both."

Zeff and Jean shudder at the smile on Alex's face when he mentions it.

"Please! Please don't kill me. I'm willing to do anything!" Tio shouted with his body tied to the floor.

He had just stepped towards the height of this world. At the expense of his hometown, he was able to learn the magic he had craved since childhood.

"No way! The members of the Blood Star Church would not be accepted wherever they were. It was your own fault joining that organization." Sela Zeff from the side.

"You heard that. The end of you is death, so there's no need to expect anything." Alex smiled coldly scaring Tio.

Beside Tio, Galus suddenly shouted out loudly. "Then kill me!"

"I'm going to kill you both. But before that, I will make you suffer and hope to get death as a gift."

Seeing the smile on Alex's face, the two shuddered then shouted pleading. "Please don't do that. We will tell you everything we know about the plans of the Blood Star Church!"

"Is the information you provide useful? You must have overheard our conversation just now. This Rin you know is a spy in your organization. As a student who is more concerned than the two of you, I think the information he said earlier exceeds everything you know." Reply to Alex while pointing at Jean behind him.

Both of them were even more afraid when they heard it. It was true, Tio had just joined the Blood Star Church about a month ago as a prospective disciple.

After sacrificing the villagers of Rod, he was successfully raised as a grey disciple. Even he had just learned the magic that was taught and was still not on the stage of flowing mana.

As for Galus, even though he had been in the Blood Star Church longer than Jean, he was just an ordinary grey disciple. Even after the Blood Star Church provided him with resources and taught him about magic, he could only master the stages of flowing mana after three years of studying it.
