Good Intentions Village Chief to Help Other Villages

As per the recommended dose, Alex gave Nina half a grain of medicine after Gren's wife fed Nina the porridge she had just made.

"Nina must have recovered quickly after taking sister's medicine" Alex smiled as she stroked Nina's hair lying on the bed.

"Thank you Alex." Nina answered weakly.

Seeing Nina already eating the medicine, Owen immediately spoke to everyone in the room, "Let's go to the living room. There are some important things I want to talk about."

Hearing his father's words Timothi frowned, but upon seeing his father nod his head towards him, Timothi immediately understood the purpose of his father.

In the living room, Alex, Timothi, Nicholas, and Gren sit opposite Owen. Gren's wife is left in the room to look after Nina, while Mathias is not allowed to listen to their conversation.

Seeing that everyone was sitting down Owen asked Alex first. "Alex, is it true that you said before that the stock of medicine is sufficient for the entire population of this village?"

"True village chief, even we can sell it again to another village in need."

The village chief calmed down after hearing that, seeing Gren and Nicholas sitting next to Alex, Owen continued, "This is something important and I hope you two can keep it a secret."

Gren and Nicholas nodded their heads after seeing Owen's serious demeanor.

Owen recounts the situation in several villages that he had heard Gren and Nicholas give the same information as before when he recounted a deadly plague to Timothi and Alex in the village hall.

"What happens to those who have not taken medicinal herbs to date?" Gren asked curiously.

Owen took the bag Gren gave him and poured the contents of his storage bag into the leather bag.

The leather bag was instantly full of sixty-two gold and twenty silver coins produced from the sale of the medicine in the village of Muru.

Looking at Owen who extended a leather pouch to him, Alex was somewhat embarrassed to receive all the proceeds from the sale of the medicine. "The village chief can take two gold coins and twenty silver as my gratitude for successfully selling all the medicine."

Hearing that Owen smiled because this was what he was waiting for, "This time of course it is my help as a gratitude for your previous medicine."

In front of Gren's house, Nicholas goes back in the opposite direction to Alex, Owen, and Timothi.

When only the three of them remained, Alex opened his voice. "I want to make a favorable deal with the village chief."

"What's that?" Ask Owen as he walks.

"As my gratitude to these villagers as well as helping with the hardships caused by the plague, I will sell my medicine in this village for five silver coins. Instead, I want to buy all the rice stock outside of the food supply available in the village warehouse. Does the village chief agree with that?"

"Why did you buy so much rice? Timothi who was walking beside Owen asked.

"I had a plan to buy a lot of rice available. The more the better."

"I agree to your terms but we still have to sell a small portion to the upcoming merchant. If they get a bit of stuff from our village, they're afraid they won't come again and trade with the village." Owen as a leader in the village of course take into account things for the future. "But where are you going to store that rice?" Owen.

"The village chief is calm. Tomorrow morning, I will come to the warehouse and buy a stock of rice that can be sold to me. I'll also show you two something there." Alex feels Owen and Timothi can be trusted so that the next morning he intends to show inventory skills to both of them.
