Alex does not hear Owen and Timothi's conversation.
He is busy holding two cursed creatures using a farm fork with the help of clones.
Bang!!!
Owen appears to throw one cursed creature with an iron rod in his right hand helping Alex ease the burden a little.
"Village chief, where's Timothi?" Despite not hearing their conversation, Alex notices Timothi disappearing along with a silvery light that lasts for a moment.
"Let me explain. We must get rid of this troublesome creature first."
"All right."
The two attack the cursed creature that Alex's clone is fighting with great difficulty.
Buk up! Buk up! Buk up! Krek!!!
Alex and the clone hit the cursed creature blindly, while Owen drained his mana on a stick in his right hand and directly hit the creature's head so that it rotated in direction and broke its neck.
"There's one." Shouted Owen directly running towards the creature he had previously thrown with a stick.
Alex ran after Owen while thinking of something.
'Hasn't the village chief hidden his strength all this time? It seems like no villager knows the abilities of the village chief.'
After a while, the three managed to kill the last cursed creature.
"Alex?" Owen was confused to see two Alexs in front of him.
"He's my twin, his name is Leon. I'll explain it in detail once the matter is over." Obviously Alex.
Owen nodded his head hearing it. There is now a more urgent problem.
"Where's Timothi? I saw a silvery ray that appeared for a moment along with Timothi's disappearance." Alex repeats the question to confirm Timothi's whereabouts.
"Timothi is fine. The necklace he had been wearing all this time was actually a life-saving artifact that could teleport the wearer in an emergency." Owen explains that he helped activate the artifact so that Timothi could survive.
"Of course as his father, I put my selfishness first regardless of Timothi's opinion of staying here." Owen ended his explanation.
Alex nodded in understanding Owen's desire for Timothi's safety.
"We met Tio before. He seems to be able to control these creatures and says he wants to destroy the village to achieve something." Alex told Owen about his meeting with Tio.
"Benzir's guess seems right. The Blood Star Church was probably recruiting new members and Tio wanted to be a part of it. Now everything makes sense about the plague and how it spread so quickly to our village a few days ago." Owen nodded in understanding as he explained his thoughts to Alex.
"So what should we do now the village chief?"
"We must immediately kill Tio to see what happens to these creatures if he dies."
Alex agreed with the plan. Previously even he had intended to kill Tio with a shot even though the attack could be held back by something.
"When I met Tio, I attacked him with this artifact." Alex pulls the gun out of the inventory and shows it to Owen.
"Is this artifact that killed three creatures just now?"
"The village chief was right, but right now the artifact is running out of ammunition and in a completely useless state."
Alex explained bitterly. If he doesn't sell two pistols to Benzir, then he'll have plenty of bullets to kill the creature that attacked Rod's village.
'No, my previous decision was correct. I must not rely too much on something that is not my own ability. Besides I don't know how many creatures attacked the village, if you fight them with your bare hands before upgrading the system, I will die in a few seconds.' Alex convinced himself.
"So what happened to Tio? Did your attack kill him?" Ask Owen.
Alex shook his head in response, "There's something transparent protecting Tio from my attack. I suspect someone helped him out of sight."
"Magic existence! That person had strength equivalent to an upward level gold-ranked adventurer. I suspect he is someone of high status in the Blood Star Church who was supervising Tio's work before recruiting him."
"Didn't the village chief also master magic? I saw the village chief draining mana through that hand."
"That's different, I'm only able to flow mana from my core to strengthen the body and the things I touch." Owen shook his head.
"Of course the outcome of the fight is not yet known even though that person is stronger. With your help, I'm sure we can kill that guy." Owen continued to take away the pessimism in Alex.
Alex and his clone nodded their heads determinedly killing Tio as well as the person behind him.
Gustaf came towards them after searching for a tool that he felt was useful in the fight and they proceeded to search and gather the survivors.
Standing on top of the village watchtower, Tio saw four people running in the middle of the road successfully killing two cursed creatures in the distance.
"It looks like it's Alex! Damn it, even the amount I am currently collecting is not necessarily able to finish him off."
In a short time Tio managed to gather around twenty cursed creatures that roamed the village.
Tio doesn't know about the bullet the gun needs in Alex's hand.
If he finds out that the gun in Alex's hand has run out of bullets so it can't be used, he won't hesitate to immediately bring all the cursed creatures that gather under him.
"I had to do that in order to kill him easily!" Tio smiled as he thought of a brilliant plan.
Tio went down the watchtower and ordered the five cursed creatures, "You guys go that way and kill everyone you meet!"
Point it at Alex and three others through the watchtower.
The five cursed creatures rushed off following Tio's orders while the dozens left behind remained with him on the spot.
Tio has to be careful if there is a coincidence where he meets Alex on his journey.
What Tio doesn't know is that his doubts about Alex's gun saved their lives.
Alex and Owen have just finished off a cursed creature that is destroying the wooden walls of a house.
On a quest to find survivors, Alex and Owen have managed to kill a total of seven cursed creatures.
"Bright... Huhh... Is it really okay to leave them at the village chief's house?" Alex's breathing was wheezing as he had not rested in the least since saving Gustaf.
"My house is not made of wood. This creature will take quite a long time to break through inside. For a while they're safe there."
Alex, the clone, Owen, and Gustaf manage to save five people on their way to help the citizens who are attacked by cursed creatures.
Owen gathers the survivors in his house so as not to become a burden when fighting the damned creatures.
Leaving Gustaf and the five rescued residents there, leaving Alex, a clone, and Owen with the ability to fight against the cursed creatures to find and save the citizens.
"Village chief, I feel some damned creatures running towards us." With the constitution increased, Alex's consciousness of the surroundings expanded within a ten-meter radius if he focused.
"Get into the house!"
Not three seconds before Owen spoke, five cursed creatures appeared from the side of the house they wanted to enter.
Fortunately the three were ready and managed to enter the residents' house before the five creatures attacked.
They deliberately opened the door so that the creature that had a little intelligence did not break through the wooden walls of the house.
Alex took out a few sacks of rice from the inventory to set up a barricade near the door.
"With this we can attack them with all our might and reduce the risk of their counterattack." Alex explains the plan.
Although the pile of rice sacks will not hold the five creatures, it will not, it can hold them for a while and block their movements so Alex and Owen can attack and kill one or two cursed creatures in no time.
Two damned creatures passed through the door side by side but they were restrained by the pile of rice sacks that were installed earlier.
Alex and his clone swung the farm fork towards the head of the cursed creature on the left side while Owen attacked the creature on the right side using his metal stick.
Bam!!! Buk!!! Buk!!! Buk!!!
"Dodge!"
Alex and the clone reflexively jumped to the left hearing Owen's warning.
The three damned beings behind urged the two in front of them with a powerful thrust.
Fortunately Alex had installed a barricade so that the impact of the push was reduced and successfully avoided.
The damned creature attacked by Owen was killed with a metal stick.
Unlike Owen, Alex and his clone did not manage to kill the cursed creature earlier and only inflicted severe injuries on the head.
Fortunately the creature was seen to have difficulty standing due to the wounds inscribed by Alex, they only need to be aware of three cursed creatures that are still in top condition.
"It's gonna be pretty hard. Can you hold the other two for a while? I'm gonna kill one as fast as I can and help finish the rest." Owen informed his plan to Alex who was reciprocated with a firm nod.
The three face three cursed creatures leaving one creature in pain from Alex's attack wounds and his clones.
