Alex's main body darted towards Gustaf and carried him away, while his clone drank a recovery potion to recover his injuries.
"Uhukis... Uhuk... Uhuk..."
"Are you okay?" Alex is worried about Gustaf's hard cough and difficulty breathing.
Gustaf did not want to be a burden on Alex so he nodded his head with difficulty so that Alex could focus on the danger in front of him.
Alex turned his eyes back towards the three monsters who were struggling to get up.
"Don't you say you can control them? What happens to them if I kill you?" Alex asked a cold question to Tio who looked frantically beside the three monsters.
"No-no, don't do that. If you kill me, they'll go on a rampage out of control!"
"really? Let's prove whether your words are true or not." Alex doesn't care what a rotten woman says in front of him. He pointed the gun at Tio's head and then fired an accurate shot.
Bang!!!
Tio closed his eyes as he did not know the type of attack the artifact had unleashed on Alex's hand.
All he knew was that when the artifact in Alex's hand made a loud noise, the intended target would be injured by the resulting attack.
Heck!
The shot bullet restrained a red transparent wall that suddenly appeared in front of Tio.
"Ohhh... Ohhh... This is the heavenly protection of our god hahahaha. You won't be able to kill me now!" Tio laughed with excitement.
Frowning in annoyance, Alex didn't know what was really going on? If Tio said it was their heavenly protection, then the wall was not Tio's magic. Did the heavenly protection he said really exist?
"Then I don't have to kill you. Enough to kill these creatures."
With a chill Alex darted towards the three cursed creatures that were already injured.
"Damn. You guys kill him!"
One of the creatures stands up and prepares to face Alex.
Alex is not experienced in martial arts. If fighting, he always fights with street style where there is no excessive style or rules in attacking.
Alex's recovering clone took a wooden block in the middle of the mess and put it into an inventory.
Three meters from the cursed creature as it was crashing, Alex took out a wooden block from the inventory and floated it towards the head.
Brakk!
The creature managed to shift his head slightly to the left so that the wooden beam held by Alex was broken as a result of hitting the cursed creature's shoulder.
Of course the attack was not in vain.
The creature fell backwards as a result of the impact of the attack and saw a bit of black blood coming out of his shoulder.
'If it takes too long, the other two can recover. It would be dangerous if I fought all three at once.' Alex points the gun back at the creature.
Bang!!!
'Seven.' Alex counts in his heart the number of bullets left.
Alex immediately ran towards the two beings who had not recovered and shot one of them.
'Six.'
Alex continued with all his might beating the remaining part of the creature's head.
Seeing that Alex has already killed two of the three and looks like he will kill the last one, Tio tries to escape from there because previously he only brought three creatures to escort.
'Damn it! If I knew it would be like this I would not have spread all the cursed creatures throughout the village.' Tio cursed inwardly.
"You're here!" Tio found a creature in the distance.
The creature walked over with the body drenched in the blood of the villagers.
"Make that person busy for a while!" Tio's orders pointed his finger towards Alex who had managed to kill the third creature after a dozen powerful blows to the head.
Tio immediately escapes from there trying to gather many creatures to kill Alex.
Alex saw a creature running towards him after killing the one.
'This time I should try to save the remaining bullets.'
Alex's clone is already recuperating thanks to a recovery potion he bought from Benzir.
With two bodies that currently have similar statuses, Alex coexists with clones to face one cursed creature with his bare hands.
Alex withstands the rate of impact with the clones and locks the two cursed arms from behind.
The damned creature lifts its leg kicking the clone then bends its body lifting Alex who locks it from behind.
Bukk!!!
Alex falls to the ground upside down and immediately avoids the foot of the cursed creature that is eyeing his head.
'His physique is almost the same as mine which has a vitality value of ten. He was superior in fights for not caring about his safety.'
Alex moves away in search of a powerful object that can help him in a fight.
Alongside the hollowed-out house, Alex found three metal farm tools - a fork to scratch the solid ground.
He put the three into the inventory and immediately ran to help the clones that were keeping the damned creatures busy.
With each body holding a farm fork, Alex and his clone attack the cursed creature from the opposite direction by swinging it with all their might.
Bam!!!
Alex's attack managed to hit the waist of the cursed creature who was distracted by holding the clone's fork attack with both hands.
Both of them immediately ran to rain the creature with a punch all over his head and body.
Buk up! Buk up! Buk up!
After several blows, the creature was brutally murdered without removing the gun from the inventory.
Lifting his body tired, Alex walked towards Gustaf who was breathing stably despite still having injuries.
"Alex?" Gustaf asked puzzledly looking at the two similar bodies before him.
Clone one explained, "This is my twin, Leon."
"Oh so. Thank you both for saving me." Gustaf said sadly.
"What's going on?"
"I also don't know where those creatures came from. Two of them broke into my house and entered my parents' second room. Hearing the commotion, I walked out of the room to see my parents and saw that the walls of the room had been destroyed. Outside the house, you also saw what happened to my parents. My dad..."
"That's enough Gustaf." The clones appease Gustaf who remembers the deaths of his parents.
"But I'm useless. If I were as strong as you, I should have saved my mother."
"No need to blame yourself. Now we must save the living. If you want to blame someone, blame Tio for causing all this."
Gustaf nodded his head with determination. He replaces the grief of the death of both parents with a burning grudge against someone he once loved.
The three of them ran following a nearby cry for help amidst the chaos of Rod village.
Alex was filled with anger when he saw the corpses of villagers lying on the street as well as inside the house.
Andre, Arnold, William, and Stevi and their respective families have lost their lives due to the cruel act of the cursed creature controlled by Tio.
'Shit!!! Damn it!!! Tio, I won't forgive you!' Alex's breath hunts down harboring anger towards Tio after seeing the death of the villagers.
Around the corner, the three see Owen and Timothi being mobbed by five cursed creatures.
Bang!!! Bang!!! Bang!!! Bang!!! Bang!!! Bang!!!
Alex is not reluctant to spend the rest of the bullets in the gun by shooting each of the two shots that instantly kill three cursed creatures.
Alex and the clone take a fork out of the inventory and attack each of the remaining creatures.
"Village chief, Timothi, are you all right?" Two cursed creatures crash away from Owen and Timothi so Alex can confirm their situation.
"Alex! Didn't you buy recovery potions? Please help my father." Timothi sees Alex coming and immediately asks for help to heal Owen.
Turning his gaze toward Owen, Alex grimaced to see Owen's left hand had slipped out of place and was unceasingly bleeding.
Alex immediately took out a recovery potion and doused a little to stop the bleeding and poured the rest into Owen's mouth.
"You survived Alex." Owen half-consciously saw Alex helping him recover the wound.
"The village chief rest and recover the wound. I'll guard this place with all my might."
"There's no way I'm being protected by you while the rest of the population is asking for help. As the village chief, I must protect this entire village until my blood stops flowing!" Owen shook his head.
Timothi cries to see Owen protecting him from the attacks of five cursed creatures.
"Timothi, come here." Call Owen in a weak voice.
Timothi approached Owen slowly.
Owen reached out his hand looking like he wanted to give something to Timothi. "Receive this storage ring. It contains something important to you."
"Dad?" Timothi was confused by Owen's words.
"It seems I can't confirm your safety with my current state, come closer and show me your necklace."
Timothi complied and showed him the necklace he had always worn since childhood on his neck.
Owen took out a knife and slightly sliced Timothi's thumb.
"That's dad's pain" Timothi grimaced with the pain of the wound Owen sliced
"Calm down!" Owen stretched out Timothi's thumb and incised the blood from the wound into a necklace around Timothi's neck.
Stretching out a few centimetres of hands from the necklace, Owen drained his mana and activated the magic formation hidden within Timothi's necklace.
The necklace shone silvery so Owen sighed calmly. "Hahh well, now it's safe. You gotta take good care of yourself, son?"
"What'sthis? What do you mean, dad?" Timothi was confused to see the necklace used so far gave off light.
"No need to ask at this time. Everything you want to know is in that ring."
Timothi increasingly did not understand the meaning of Owen's words.
"Please promise, never walk the same path as the Blood Star Church. If you can, there is no need to avenge this village. I want you to live your life normally and happily."
Hearing Owen's words and the circumstances in which his necklace gave off a silver glow, Timothi made an impossible guess.
"Dad, don't tell me this necklace is an artifact?"
"Don't think about it. Promise now!" Owen raised his voice seeing Timothi's necklace getting brighter.
"Y-yeah dad, I promise I'll always be the right person." Timothi shed tears promising Owen.
"But I will avenge the deeds that the Blood Star Church has done to our village. I will kill all the members of that organization and sprinkle their ashes in the street so that their bodies will be trampled by passers-by." Timothi clenched his hands.
Owen shook his head then said with a warm smile, "I'm proud to be your father."
Zigg!
The silvery light went out along with Timothi's disappearance before he could reply to Owen's words.
