Plans have begun to be made, Verite is prepared to catch the robbers when they act, even though this is said to be a plan Verite does not do complex or complicated things at all, he said, now he stood in front of the nine-door room and made Datura read the script.
“Verite, are you sure you want to leave tonight?” Datura asked a little loudly, making sure the bandits watching him heard their conversation.
“Iya Datura, I have to hunt, my uncle is sick.” Verite grooved, he put on a hurried voice.
“But walking at night is dangerous! You are just a young girl.” Datura pressing on says ‘alone’ and ‘young’.
“Yes, but my uncle is in a terrible pain, if I don't leave immediately for the city of Sunflow he probably won't survive before I meet him.” Verite groaned, still noticing that the bandit was watching him.
“Alright but you have to be careful ya.” Datura departs ‘out’, The bandit comes out.
Verite reentered room number nine where Mefras had just slipped in using a spare little body waiting with Zorrel looking at his body in curiosity
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Zorrel asked, this bespectacled merchant seems to be worried about Verite.
“Just relax, Mefras will follow from a distance, he will jump immediately when I call him.” Verite tried to calm Zorrel down.
“Iya.. but why do you have to do it? Why not just use your construct directly or better call the guards?” Zorrel asked, it seems like he still feels bad letting a young girl fight off a gang of robbers.
“Iya I can call the guard but it will reduce the guard of this village, I don't want to take any chances if this town gets attacked while we're hunting bandits and I'm not sure they'll go ahead with their plans if they see guards walking outside the village anyway.
From that Verite with this bandit bandit was least careful in choosing their targets and also chose to move on and close their tracks, Verite did not want to take the chance to let them back down and took more casualties.
“I understand..” Zorrel give up.
Verite smiled. “You're a good person yes.”
Zorrel scratched his head. Verite could see her ears blushing. “Worrying about a young boy is normal.”
“Hey at least you are a responsible adult.” Mefras. “It's sad but I'm a lot of people who don't have the sense of caring that you have.”
“Ahahaha... Wait a minute.” Zorrel said he looked at Mefras with caution.
“What is this construct, Mefras has his own personality?” He's a ber
queried.
Verite simply nodded and Mefras did not reply at all.
“Are you going to sell a construct like this?” Zorrel asked, it seemed like he was interested in a construct that could have its own personality.
“No.” Verite immediately refused. “Unfortunately I cannot recreate the formula I used for Mefras.” Verite alas, there was no way he could make constructs that had personality whereas Regulus alone was still stuck in making the construct functional.
“Ah darling yes.” Zorrel. “I'm sure if you can produce constructs that can move by itself in bulk you can simplify people's lives.”
“Iya, we have the same idea, we are still in the process of making constructs to help the work of farmers and as labor in the parts that are harmful to ordinary humans.” Verite agrees with Zorrel, that living and moving constructs are beneficial but Mefras is not a pure construct so Verite cannot reproduce it and he does not want to do so either, Mefras has shown me a film about a future construct rebellion, giving them a human personality is not the right answer.
“Must I say, you won't want to get me more than one.” Mefras befell, he seemed to hate to see his clone walking left right. Verite would also find it strange if he suddenly had a twin.
“Again attack is not a decent time for this.” Mefras added. “We still have to hunt down those bandits tonight.
Verite and Zorrel nodded, they could talk about the discovery and future plans when all this was done.
*****
Night fell and Verite walked out of her room, she carried her bag and watched the surroundings, no one seemed to be watching her, it was likely that they were already waiting for her outside the gate.
Verite started walking out, he reached the village gate safely and greeted the guards who already knew him, he said, these guards already knew Verite because they were subordinates of Duke Bloome otherwise they would stop Verite and ask what an easy girl like Verite did out of the village at night, they'll be worried about Verite's security.
After a few minutes of walking he finally met the bandits who tried to surround him but Verite easily infiltrated the opening in their section and started running.
‘Mefras they started chasing me.’ Verite tells Mefras through its communication feature.
‘I can see you, just say it and I'll jump.’ Mefras answered.
‘Alright, first of all I will take them to a place far away from and see if any of their members have not joined.
After running for a few minutes Verite began to feel disappointed that the number of bandits chasing him had not increased, he could not test Mefras' abilities with just five anchovy-class bandits like this.
Verite decided to finish this and lead the bandits to a cliff wall, the bandits probably thinking that they had cornered Verite from their disgusting expressions.
Verite asks if they have any other members and their ego-filled answer makes Verite convinced that this is their only member.
Verite instantly activated his Mananya and made a ring of fire, confining the bandits with Verite.
They thought they were trapping Verite but they were the ones stuck with Verite.
Verite enjoyed their panicked face, a face that had an expression like one who realized they had drunk poison.
‘Mefras.’ Verite called out while dodging the slash of one of the bandits who attacked him in panic.
****Mefras POV****
‘Mefras.’
Hearing Verite Mefras' call instantly jump into the action, his leap that easily broke through the twenty-meter distance made him land right above one of the bandits that attacked Verite.
The bandit lost his consciousness instantly, ‘bagus’ thought Mefras, he has no empathy with people who attack and kill innocent people just for poya poya, Mefras did not care if that bandit bandit was not out with their lives.
But Verite was still here and Mefras cared enough about Verite he didn't want to show her anything like this, Verite was a good person and Mefras didn't want Verite to be disappointed with him so Mefras started moving, dropping those bandit bandits without hurting them too much.
He had already capacitated the four bandits, only one bandit was left, shocking to Mefras the bandit was recklessly jumping through the ring of fire that Verite had made.
Mefras began to chase after him, after making that move Mefras got an idea, he wanted to play with this prey just a little bit.
Mefras was still chasing him but keeping his pace so that he still had a fairly sparse distance between them, while on the road he hit some of these trees that were hard.
Crashing into a tree was not part of his plan as it was a matter of his ability to make sharp turns but this matter made the bandits that Mefras was chasing even more fearful and it gave Mefras a feeling that was inexplicable, perhaps this was the part in it that was sadistic but he enjoyed the fear that bandits were experiencing.
A few minutes had passed, the bandit not only looked tired and also depressed, during these few minutes of pursuit Mefras learned to circle his limits and learned to stop crashing into trees at high speed.
The bandit thought he was safe because he took a pretty invisible hiding spot, but it was a pity that Mefras always watched him without his knowledge.
Mefras decided to test one of the features that Verite built.
He began to concentrate and felt his entire body separate, now that he had three points of view, Mefras felt grateful Verite had managed to make the robots merge.
he flew through the air without entering the distance of the bandit's vision, right above him Mefras reunited his body and landed in front of the bandit with a flash.
The bandit fell on his butt and Mefras stuck out his big hand,
“AHHHHHH!!!!” The screams of the bandits were heard throughout the forest.
