Chapter 32: Verite Bloome

It had been a year since Verite had accepted Duke Bloome's offer, now Verite was the official disciple of Duke Croneaster Bloome and with it Verite was also given the name Bloome.

Verite Bloome's. Verite decided to accept Duke Bloome's name because the profits Verite received were truly great, not only did the money and and the magnificent residence Verite also gained considerable status.

Surely this did not come for free, Verite also had to do her duty as the greatest Thaumaturgist disciple in Azalea city, she had to study hard and receive tuisi from the bloome Duke, she had to learn hard, Verite did not expect Duke Bloome to actually teach him seriously, Verite thought she would only teach him a few things and give him an assignment but he still took time on his busy schedule to come and supervise Verite at least once a week, it is not wrong that he is a ruler who is loved by his people.

With the financing of Duke Bloome Verite managed to mass-produce the cooling machine, facilitating the life of the people in the city of Azalea and not only that as Duke Bloome promised Verite got all the benefits of the cooling machine.

Unfortunately after that he did not have much discovery ‘baru’, Mefras may be able to give it the concept of a tool but Verite still needs time to re-engineer the tool that Mefras mentioned because Mefras only remembers the basic concept of the item, therefore the thing that Verite had to work hard to achieve.

The new invention that Verite worked on after doing the cooling machine was asphalt, his talk with Mefras about the road that would make the village that Datura lived in more accessible easily.

He reasoned with Duke Bloome to do his asphalt making test to Datura village instead of directly using it with the path that had been used so if the asphalt road started to look problematic they would not interfere traffic flow of trade routes and if their roads are not problematic they can connect it to the trade route which turned out to be quite close to the village of Datura.

Duke Bloome agreed quickly, saying that he had noticed the nameless village west of his city, it seemed like many people had migrated from the azalea village and settled here, one of them even joined the adventurer guild and became Duke Bloome's subordinate, he voiced his concern to his homeland.

Previously Duke Bloome could not help without doing such a drastic thing as evacuating the entire village but with the project that Verite suggested not only could he ease access he could also speed up trade route traffic and made the city of Azalea more prosperous.

In addition to studying and working on his project also Verite sometimes takes missions from adventurer guilds because it gives him a reason to walk out of town, she still dislikes fighting and putting her life at risk but Verite enjoys being grateful to her and Verite also enjoys seeing the sights she rarely sees.

He also had another reason to take the adventurer guild mission and that was why Verite was going to go out of town today,  he had already taken the mission from the adventurer guild and was now walking towards Verite's personal pab.

Verite opened her door and was greeted with a familiar look, a girl of the same age, having warm brown eyes and curly green hair greying her.

“Verite good morning.” Said it.

“Good morning Caena.” Verite greeted back.

This girl is Caena, after seeing and helping Verite make the construct of Verite's former roommate decides to study Thaumaturgy and discover that she has her inner skills.

After Verite becomes Duke Bloome's student and gets used to his new life, Duke Bloome asks Verite if he wants a personal assistant for him.

Verite immediately agreed and asked Duke Bloome to hire Caena, of course, he did not immediately become Verite's assistant but he had to pass the Duke Bloome's test first,  the test that the current state of affairs showed was a test that Caena passed easily.

 

“How is Mefras Caena status?” Verite asked his former roommate.

“He works well,” Caena replied, notes on his hands. “For a construct he can really talk yes.” Say Caena.

“Hahaha..” Verite laughed awkwardly, he could not explain the origin of Mefras so they still knew Mefras as an ordinary construct that could speak.

“seriously loh, his behavior is almost the same as human, maybe because I am still a beginner but I do not know how you can do it, it's just a coincidence that I can make it like that.” Caena said while holding her chin.

“I don't know if the smart word is enough to call him, he can paint, write books and even make toys.” Caena said her face seemed to not believe that this was a coincidence.

“You want me to say what else? The construct I made might be possessed by a wild spirit?” Verite said, aware of the irony he said.

“Hahaha, don't say so Verite, I still want to sleep quietly tonight.” Caena laughed but her voice sounded scared, Caena was a bit weak with the supernatural.

“well where is Mefras?” Verite asked, “I want to do a test with him.” Verite.

“You want to take him along with you to fulfill the mission of the adventurer guild?” Caena asked.

Verite nodded, “Iya, I want to do a field test with his new body, I want to see if there are things that can be added or there are flaws that can be corrected with field tests.” Verite explained that he wanted to take Mefras to the field test because Verite had just replaced his old body with a new one a week ago.

“I hope your field test goes smoothly after you spend money from the sale of cooling machine to make Mefras' body.” Caena comments.

Yes, Verite almost spent all his income to buy materials to make Mefras smell body, after the incident in Datura Verite village made a new body for Mefras but it was still not enough, after the incident in Datura Verite village made a new body for Mefras, even though he had added the sound function Verite felt that Mefras did not deserve to live on a body the size of a cat.

So Verite used the money he got from Mefras' idea to make a body that was worthy of him, Verite would feel bad if he ate the money without paying back Mefras so after Verite could have enough knowledge to make a body worthy of Mefras, Verite immediately did so, so, using the best materials that money could get and putting all the ideas he saved into that body as much as possible and in the end, three days ago Verite managed to do it.

Verite managed to make a body worthy of Mefras.
