Chapter 25: The Wild Boar Attack

Verite is not someone who is not accustomed to a foreign place even the opposite, he said, he was used to a place that was not recognized because the task given by Mr. Jardi was always related to delivering goods to a corner of the city that Verite had never come to.

Surely Verite did the task to the fullest and had already done some of the tasks that Verite was getting used to not only looking for the way but also talking to strangers to determine if the path he was headed for thas right.

With that in mind he still felt awe when he stepped foot first from the city he lived in for his entire life, he felt a new true thing for him.

Starting from the green forest he plundered all over the view to the wild beast he had never seen and also the dark corner hidden among the trees, it made Verite feel awe and fear at the same time.

surely he did not feel in danger because not only was Mefras inside his head he was also accompanied by Helian and Regulus on his way, Verite had already witnessed for himself how powerful Regulus could withstand Verite's fist without the slightest hint, he carried his long spear on this journey.

While Verite only took his body and the body of the Mefras construct with him, if they encountered a monster maybe Verite could make Mefras distract while Verite ran away from the monster.

Speaking of Innate, Helian looked more prepared than Verite, she not only carried her provisions but also a pair of arrows and bows and also a small sword by her side, looks like he's ready to fight some wild boar.

On their way Verite and the group encounter several monsters that attack them like a slime, a monster made of liquid that Verite youngly smashes with bursts of fire from his hands.

They also encounter monsters that look like wild boars but have skin that feels like elephant tusks (Mention Mefras) that Regulus breaks easily using his spear.

Helian also got some time to shine by shooting at the bat-like monster that flew in the air, as her he came prepared, she said, Verite was more surprised he was willing to do all this himself seeing that they had been attacked by monsters several times.

While walking Regulus started talking, “What's it like to be out of town for the first time Verite?” He asked Verite.

“This is the thing that.. Open.” Verite replied before turning his eyes to Helian. “how did you hear Helian was this your first trip out of town?” Verite asked.

Helian shook her head, “I am not from Azalea city, this is not the first time I have stepped foot into a world outside of civilization but it is the first time I have left the city unaccompanied by adults.” Answer Helian.

“You're not from here? So where did you live before?” Verite asked.

“Without adults?” Regulus cutting, “what about me?” She asked.

”I don't see adults at all so I don't understand you mean.” Say Helian.

It seemed like Regulus deliberately cut the question, realizing that Verite was starting to ask another thing.

“How much longer will we get to this village?” Verite asked.

Regulus saw the map, “If we follow this path think we might get there in an hour.” She's saying.

“One hour yes... I hope all this goes smoothly.” Say Verite.

‘What, I just want all this to run smoothly.’

‘Tch tch tch,’ Verite got a picture of Mefras wiggling his finger from his mind, ‘You know if you say it like it's upside down then what will happen, <TAG1>, what if the one who destroyed the village was not some wild boar but a dragon?’ Mefras says.

‘Now you swear this Mefras, if those wild boars really become dragons I will blame you.’ Verite sent an image of himself pointing a finger at Mefras.

After an hour of walking they finally reached the village they were heading to, Verite observed the state of this village, and, consisting of small houses built with materials made of wood and thatched roofs the village looks very far from the developed city of Azalea.

Maybe they can't afford to build buildings made of stone because they can't bring the materials they need from the city here or maybe they lack labor and that's why they get the problem of boar attacks.

When they entered the village there was a little brown-haired girl greeting them, this girl did not look like she was more than five years old.

“Welcome to this village, are you guys sent from the adventurer guild of Azalea City?” She asked.

“Iya, we are part of the adventurer guild of Azalea city.” Helian spoke, before they got here Helian told them this was her mission so she would have a conversation with the client.

Verite did not protest because he was right, Verite and Regulus and Verite inserted themselves into Helian's matter so Verite had no right to regulate what Helian was doing.

“Then come with me, the village chief wants to meet you.” The little girl said and started walking.

They walked following the girl, while walking Verite noticed the gaze directed at them, mostly coming from the mother mother or the little child staring at them, it seems like they rarely get strangers in this village.

It seems true that there are not many healthy men in this village, perhaps that's why they can't fight raging wild boars.

Not long after following the girl they arrived at the most conspicuous house in the village, this house was decorated with flowers around it and this house was also located in the middle of the village.

“Please enter, the village chief waits.” The young girl said.

Verite Helian and Regulus walked into the house, they were greeted by the appearance of an old woman sitting in the middle of the room.

“Please sit.” Tell the old woman, showing the three pedestals sitting on the floor.

Helian, Verite and Regulus sat cross-legged on the floor.

“You are still very young yes,’ The grandmother rubbed her chin, “But if you were sent by the adventurer guild I bet you guys have a hidden ability.” Say grandma village chief.

“So can you explain the problem that this village is experiencing?” Helian started talking.
