The Stupidity of Me Who Believes in Love

The Stupidity of Me Who Believes in Love
A complicated case

At 3 in the morning

After the phone call from Rian was over, Kafeel never closed his eyes. Kafeel and Rendy are busy looking at some surveillance footage and looking for evidence that could get Kinara out of the case.

Kafeel really could not just stand still when he saw Kinara getting a big disaster because of him.

"Bos rest for a while, let me continue with the rest" said Rendy who did not have the heart to see Kafeel work too hard to not sleep all night.

"Continue your work and ignore me!" kafeel said firmly while continuing to focus on staring at his Tab.

Hearing his boss's thorny answer made Rendy no longer able to say anything and told her boss to go get some rest. All Rendy can do now is work harder to help her boss solve the case.

The two seem very busy gathering evidence that Kinara is innocent, only the more Kafeel and Rendy look up, all the evidence points towards Kinara which, of course, could incriminate him and refer to him as the prime suspect in Fathan's death.

Kafeel massaged his temple slowly, his head completely dizzy at this moment thinking so many alibis about the actual incident. Kafeel really knows that the mastermind behind this is Devan, only that he cannot provide evidence that Devan is the real culprit in this case.

The drying of Kafeel's cell phone began to be heard echoing throughout the room. Kafeel who heard his phone ringing then glanced at his watch which is now showing at 03.40 am.

"He didn't sleep either?" he said in his heart while sliding the green icon on the screen of his phone.

"Hello" said a voice over there.

"What are you calling me at this hour? have you found a clue?" kafeel said in an understated tone.

"Of course, you think you're the only one who's smart and has an influence" Rian said in a satirical tone as if he didn't accept it because Kafeel only underestimated it.

"Then tell me now what did you find?" kafeel's orders were then taken seriously this time.

"I've got the autopsy results from Fathan's body and the results of the autopsy show there was an act of violence received by Fathan right on the head and calf. If you look at the location of the wound and the position of how deep the wound is, it certainly will not cause death directly and the most severe may be just bleeding. But one thing that makes this case look suspicious is that the cause of Fathan's death was a heart attack, isn't that strange? given that Fathan has absolutely no history of heart disease or even symptoms that led him to a previous heart attack" said Rian explained the information he had just obtained through his channel or confidant.

"It turns out that this case is too complicated, we can use this to ease Kinara's sentence but can't release him, given that Kinara was violent to Fathan, although not fatal, unless we can go on a peaceful path with the families of the victims. But that's certainly impossible because given this there's something to do with Devan" Kafeel said.

"Well, maybe it'll be a long case if we can't find a key witness to this" Rian said in response to Kafeel's remarks.

"I'm not sure we're going to find him because no one came out of Fathan's room after Kinara's departure from there." kafeel said again while scratching his head that did not itch because he was confused to find a way out of this problem.

"Cases like this often appear and there is always a plot twist of any related problem in that case. As if we will be made to focus too much on one thing, but the fact is that the thing we focus on is not the key answer to this case." said Rian while remembering some client cases that he had handled.

"That's what I'm afraid of, so I didn't sleep all night to replay the surveillance cameras in W Food's office and Fathan's room" Kafeel said.

" That's great, try to pay attention to small details that you probably wouldn't have thought could be the main key" Rian reminded Kafeel.

"Don't start fishing because I don't want to make a fuss with you!" rian said.

"You started it first!" kafeel said he did not accept the allegations that Rian had given him just now.

"You always suck Kaf!" said Rian again.

"I've been lazy to fuss with you, we've just finished our conversation this time bye.." said Kafeel then while immediately disconnecting the phone without asking Rian first.

The next day in the apartment unit of Kafeel.

Until the morning before Kafeel did not go to sleep and was still struggling with file files and surveillance camera footage that had no end at all.

Ting tong ting keg

The sound of the apartment bell on tap began to echo in his room. Making Kafeel and Rendy who listen to it then look at each other as if asking who is the guest who came so early?

"Let me open the boss." said Rendy who was immediately detained by Kafeel once knew Rendy was about to stand up to open the front door.

"Let me open it, you just continue your work" Kafeel said, rising to his feet.

"But the boss." said Rendy wanted to stop Kafeel's move forward but Kafeel had just passed from there.

Kafeel slowly opened the door of his apartment unit to see who was coming this early.

"Good morning sir, we from the police are about to make an arrest to brother Kinara. From the information we have Kinara's brother is inside right now" said one of the men wearing police uniforms.

"Can I see the arrest warrant sir?" kafeel asked in a tone that tried to speak as calmly as possible.

One of the policemen then gave a letter to Kafeel. Kafeel then began reading from top to bottom of the letter and gave it back to the police.

"Father wait here for me to call him in the pack" Kafeel said in a polite tone.

"What's gonna guarantee you won't take him out of here once you get in?" said the policeman who seemed to not believe that Kafeel would actually deliver Kinara to the two policemen.

"Father can trust me, I'm not going anywhere" Kafeel said.
