The Step Sister of Tiri

The Step Sister of Tiri
46. Happy tears

In the kitchen, Zayna was crying. He did not know what the woman heard. He felt moved because Aisyah had been caring for him all this time. Her in-laws even thought about the future of her household along with Ayman. Something he never thought about at all. Zayna thought that Aisha hated her, for no apparent reason.

He remembered his late mother. Intentionally or not, Zayna could see the affection of a real mother from Mama Aisyah. Mama Savina has always been affectionate towards her sisters, but Zayna cannot feel the sincerity that her in-laws do.

"Darling, why are you crying? Is there anything that hurts you?" ask Ayman who just entered the kitchen.

He was waiting for Zayna. But his wife did not come. The man was worried that something might happen as Ayman caught up with the woman. Sure enough, Zayna was crying in the kitchen. Something must have happened before he came.

"There's nothing, Mom," Zayna replied with a smile.

"If there's nothing, why are you crying? You don't lie to me. Is it because of mama or Vienna?"

"No, Mas!"

"You're still lying. Don't defend the wrong people. Let me talk to them." Ayman will move. However, it was soon prevented by Zayna.

"Don't, Mas."

"Why ban me? They must have hurt you. I can't let it."

"No, Mas. Come on, let's go to the room! I'll tell you there. Don't make a row here. Everyone will come out."

Zayna pulled the hand of her husband. Ayman also complied with his wife's wishes. He was also curious what made the woman cry like that. Judging from his expression, Zayna was not sad, but why was she crying?

Ayman and his wife headed to the room. Both of them sat on the edge of the bed. Zayna tried to wipe away her tears with a tissue on the bedside table. The man was still waiting for his wife to calm down and ready to tell a story.

"Now tell me, what happened to make you cry?"

"I'm crying because I'm happy, Mas" Zayna said with a smile.

"Crying for happiness? Why?"

Zayna recounted everything she had heard as her in-laws and Viennese spoke on the side porch of the house. The woman felt happy because all this time it turned out that Mama Aisyah cared about her. Her parents are also thinking about the future of their home. Even Ayman did not expect that.

All this time the man thought that Mama Aisyah did not like his wife. She knew her mother was a good person and it was evident now that everything she did was for the good of both of them. Ayman so remembered the advice of his mother first, if doing good, do not show off, other people do not need to know what you have done.

Ayman now shed tears. He was overwhelmed by what his mother did. All the things that the man had never thought of was precisely Aisyah who cared about him.

"I didn't expect you to think that far" Ayman said. Zayna agreed to it.

"Maybe it's because you've been through it and don't want your household to be in trouble later on."

"Yes, I thought about that too. Already, you don't have to cry. We should be happy because we know that mom has blessed our relationship. We just need to convince him again. I don't think it's gonna be hard."

"Yes, Mas. I'll try too. Mama wants to try for our household. We should try even more."

Ayman nodded and hugged his wife. Although the tears of both of them were dripping, but their hearts were truly happy. Not expecting, the blessing that Ayman and Zayna had been chasing after turned out to have been obtained from the past. Just not seen yet.

"Here you go, come on, let's go to sleep! It's getting late. I have a meeting tomorrow too."

"Yes, Mum." Both of them also lay down their bodies and sleep hugging each other to dreamland. What a beautiful dream they will create.

"Pa, shouldn't we be looking for a housekeeper! Mama is tired every day cooking, washing clothes, cleaning the house," Savina complained to her husband.

"It's only been a month, time has been moaning! Zayna who has never complained before," said Papa Rahmat while enjoying his coffee.

"Why did you share Mama with Zayna? That, right, was his job."

"Zayna's job also includes your duty. Why is that Zayna's only job? All this time Papa was silent because he wanted to make my son independent and now he is married. Now it's your turn to educate Zivana to be independent. Don't make her like a spoiled Zanita. Behold, now at home his father-in-law is told to cook alone must complain to his parents. Papa doesn't want Zivana to be like that."

Zanita calls Savina every day and whines at her. Even lately his daughter asked to buy an apartment to get away from her in-laws' house. However, Grace resolutely refused. Where did that guy get that much money.

Many times also Rahmat advised his wife not to always support Zanita. However, the man's words were like a wind past for Savina. That was why she did not want Zivana to be like her brother, but it seemed too late to form the character of the child who was always arrogant.

"No, I'll find a husband for a richer Zivana. Whose parents did not rely on his son-in-law for cooking, like Bu Lusi's. Her daughter-in-law's time was told to cook. Tell this job to."

"That's his duty, Ma. What harm?"

"But they are, right, rich. They could hire ten helpers at once. Why should I ask his daughter-in-law."

"As for Mama, let's say what. Whatever you say is always wrong in your eyes. Though what Bu Lusi did is also for the good of our child." Grace soon passed leaving his wife still blabbering.

Arguing with his wife would only make his high blood rise. Savina would never give up. Whatever the woman does, it always ends in trouble and Grace must solve it.

"Ma, Zivana doesn't want to learn to cook. Especially cleaning others. I'll smell, my skin will be rough. I don't want to do that job, I've spent a lot of money on treatment. Time must be told to work. Anyway I don't want to. Mama should be able to persuade Papa to find a maid. It's not like Zayna said she wanted to send money every month. That's all to pay the maid," Zayna said as soon as her papa left.

He eavesdropped on his parents' conversation. The girl was upset that the papa wanted to be like Zayna, a hard worker. Of course Zivana refused to do that endless work. Until this moment he has not worked because he wants to work in an office.

"You shut up why, anyway! This is also mama's more effort. Mama's tired of having to cook every day, clean, wash clothes." Savina took a heavy breath. She was tired of her job as a housewife.

"Ma, is it true that Zanita was in her in-laws' house made a maid?" ask plain Zivana.

"You don't talk carelessly. She remained the daughter-in-law in that house, only that she had to work hard doing all the work of an actual wife. Mama is also the same mama Fahri why not just look for a maid. They're, right, a lot of money."
