The Step Sister of Tiri

The Step Sister of Tiri
300. S2 - Meet Akmal

The results of the examination conducted by Adam were all good. Starting next week the man will also have to follow the scheduled therapy by the hospital. Zea was so happy to hear the news. This will be a motivation for the husband to recover quickly.

"Thank God, our prayers are finally answered, Brother. Hopefully later during therapy everything goes normally" Zea said while on his way home.

"Amin, I'm also tired of sitting in this wheelchair. I've always made my wife feel bad" said Adam, who felt guilty.

"Sister, I told you not to be like that. Where are we going now?"

"Yes, sorry. As I said earlier, we will go to the hospital to meet Akmal for a while. The hospital is not far."

Zea nodded and followed wherever the husband went. "What would Akmal say, huh, brother?"

"I know less about that, too. Hopefully he doesn't make trouble" replied Adam who also felt anxious. Given all this time there was always something his brother did to bring him down.

Zea had never met Akmal, but hearing the story of her husband made her less fond of his sister-in-law. Not long after, they finally arrived at the hospital. As usual, Zea pushed her husband's wheelchair into Akmal's room. He had been asked about it at the reception.

As soon as he reached the intended place, there appeared two people standing guard at the door. Adam can tell if it's the police. Even though they wear regular clothes and wear jackets. However, their innate nature could already open up his identity.

"You wait outside, let me go in alone. Surely Akmal also did not want anyone else to know what he was talking about" Adam told his wife.

"Yes, Brother. I'll just wait here."

Adam moved his wheelchair to enter the room. Not to forget also he told the person who was on guard, if he was the person contacted by Akmal earlier. The guards invited the man to enter. As soon as he opened the door, it appeared that Akmal was sitting with a blank look.

Adam approached his half-brother. Even though he was sitting in a wheelchair, it did not mean that the man should look weak in front of Akmal. He did not want his half-brother to demean him even more. It was enough in the past that Adam was weak.

"What's wrong? Why did you ask me to come here?" ask Adam who doesn't want to talk.

Akmal exhaled a coarse breath, then lowered his head. He felt ashamed of Adam after what he had done all this time. The man had to ask his stepbrother to come and ask him for something. Whether Adam would grant it or not.

Adam who saw Akmal was still silent became furious. "What's wrong? Don't mince words, if you don't want to talk, I'd better go home."

Adam is going. Akmal stopped him. He didn't want to waste the opportunity. Not sure if he could meet again later. Moreover, his half-brother was a busy person.

"Wait first! I want to ask you something."

Akmal looked at Adam and said, "Please take care of Papa and Mama. They were old, no one was looking after and accompanying them. I know you're still hurt by what they've done, but trust in their hearts to be honest they love you, too" Akmal said, giving Adam a chuckle.

"What joke are you talking about. Can't you find words that make more sense? If it's true that they love me, they can't dump me first. I was very small and understood nothing, but they didn't care at all" said Adam with a flat face.

"Adam, it's just the past. It's all over. Papa has also regretted everything, they are old," said Akmal who was actually also hesitant about what was said.

All for the sake of both parents. Although Farid was not his biological father, but he loved his father so much because he had given such great affection.

"It's easy to say that, but not pa-pa. I'll send people there to look after them. Don't force me to come see them because every time I come to that house, seeing human faces has no heart, my heart hurts more."

"I understand how you feel. Whatever your decision is, I just want someone to look after you and your mom. Thank you for fulfilling my wish."

"Is that all you want to say?" adam asked again, he wanted to leave this chest-stifling room immediately.

"I want to apologize to you. Sorry for making you like this. I really envy what you have. Everything I got from childhood turned out to be all that had to come back to you. I admit that I had no right from the beginning. It's papa's restaurant anyway, but since I was a child I thought it was mine so, when you got it I didn't feel like it. I've been trying so hard to raise her, but you who don't do anything get everything."

"Do you know anything about me? You just look at it from the outside without knowing what I've been feeling for years. Since your presence and your mother's, my life has been hell no matter what I do, in my eyes I'm always wrong because she's been eaten up by your mother's words, but since meeting with Papa Hanif's family, I feel humanized. They love me so much without hoping that one day I will repay them. I learned a lot from that family, too. Something I should have gotten from my family, but instead get from someone else." Adam recalled the memories of his past that made him hurt.

"Through all that I feel happy, at least there are people who are really sincere with me without expecting anything in return. They also think of me as their own child. Either I have to thank Papa Farid or not because indirectly, thanks to my papa attitude that led me to the family of Papa Hanif," continued Adam with a breath.

Akmal looked ahead with a sad feeling. "That's what I'm envious of, you can have a family that loves you so much even though you've never met them before. Sometimes I think that if I was the one who was abandoned, was it possible that I would also get a good person like the one who took care of you? But the answer is of course not. I know every action will have a payoff. So do you, who are always good even though they have been oppressed. Now God sends good people to you, whereas I've always been selfish and wanted to win by myself. Many negative things I have, until God gives me trials like this. Especially with the mistakes I've made on you and made you like this."

"Oh, forget it! I have also accepted all of this. I consider what happened to me to be the destiny I have to live. Especially with this wound you got, I can already confirm who did it. You should be lucky because you can still see the sun. Usually, the victim cannot open his eyes and ends up in a pit. Sometimes even a beast's meal."

"You know who did all this to me?" akmal asked while looking at his entire bruised body. His legs were also cracked, it is certain he will wear a stick later.

"Of course, I know my family very well. They will not let their families feel sad or hard. Especially if you hurt her like you did to me." Adam shook his head while breathing out.

"That makes me even more jealous of you. May one day I also meet someone who truly loves me as much as you do."

"Is the affection of your parents not enough? You should be grateful because of them, always forgive you for all the mistakes you have done. Not like I'm always wrong in their eyes."
