The Step Sister of Tiri

The Step Sister of Tiri
34. Lunch at papa's

Ayman and Zayna cleaned up all their belongings as they were going to the man's parents' house. Unlike the wife who could not wait to meet her in-laws, Ayman was afraid. She was afraid that her mother would throw them out and do something that would hurt Zayna.

Enough suffering was experienced by his wife. He did not want to see the sad face of the woman. Especially to shed tears like yesterday. Really Ayman does not want it to happen because he certainly will not be able to choose which side.

Last night Ayman contacted Mr. Doni and asked him to book a ticket home. Just like with Ayman, Mr. Doni was also surprised to hear the request of his superiors. Even the man asked her to persuade Zayna to think back about her wishes. However, the woman's wishes were already round and could not be bothered anymore.

Finally, Mr. Doni can only resign and pray that everything will be fine later. Given how good Zayna had been all this time, she was also unwilling if the woman was hurt.

"Honey, Mr. Doni will pick us up before Ashar so we still have time to relax. Is everything ready?" ayman asked his wife.

"Already, Mas," replied Zayna smiling. She tried to look fine in front of her husband. In his heart, all the feelings were mixed. Scared, nervous, confused, all into one.

Zayna doesn't want Ayman to worry. The woman had thought everything through carefully. He will try his best to get the blessing of his father-in-law. Anyhow the reaction of Ayman's parents, Zayna will face it.

The woman's phone rang, Papa Rahmat's name on it. Zayna picked him up immediately. She had also missed her father, it had been a few days that they had not met.

"Hello, assalamualaikum, Pa," Zayna said.

"Girishalam, Na. You at home? Does your husband exist?" asked Rahmad who was across the phone. His voice sounded flat, always like this, making Zayna think that the father was forced to contact her

"Yes, Pa. I'm at Mas Ayman's house too. What's up, huh, Pa?" ask Zayna back.

"Oh, Papa thinks your husband is still working."

"No, Pa. Ayman today is not working."

"Come now to Papa's house for lunch together. Is your husband on holiday today? Ever since you moved to a new place of residence, you never played here again. There is also Zanita with her husband. We eat together."

Zayna wanted to refuse, but she was also not nice to her papa. Just this time the man asked her to come home after marriage.

"I asked Mas Ayman, yes, Pa. I'll send a message later, so or not go there later."

"All right, it's up to you. I hope you don't disappoint."

"Yes, Pa. Assalamualaikum."

"Getishalight."

Zayna washes her breath she saw the clock. He still has two hours left before he leaves. Actually enough to come to his parents' house if only just for lunch, but he was very sure if later there would be drama, which makes the husband uncomfortable of course. Especially with the presence of Zanita and Fahri.

Their last meeting had made her uncomfortable, but no matter how much the woman avoided it, they would still be met. After all, Zanita is her sister. Likes not to like, that's the truth.

"What's up, honey?" asked Ayman who saw his wife was agitated.

"Our father's for lunch, Mas, now."

"Why indeed? We still have time so I guess it's okay to eat there for a while."

"But later there will definitely be a long drama and it will definitely corner us both. They'll insult you too."

"What, Mom, is it really okay?"

"Yes, it's okay. Come on, let's get ready for papa's house! Later the clothes in the suitcase to be taken with Mr. Doni. We'll just go to the airport."

"Is it all right, Mas, Uncle Doni who raised all this?"

"It's okay, Mr. Doni is used to it too."

"I will not feel good if I meet Mr. Doni. I'm used to calling him Uncle Doni."

"As you please, call him Pa, as comfortable as you are. I think Mr. Doni doesn't mind you calling him uncle either."

"Yes, Mum."

Zayna and Ayman went to lunch together at Grace's house. Though in her heart she doubted, but it was true what her husband said. He couldn't possibly ignore his papa's invitation that way. Although their previous relationship was not good, but the woman must still respect him.

Until they don't get to Zayna's parents' house. Both got off the bike and entered the house. It turned out that everyone had gathered in the living room. Dislike of Savina and Zanita when they saw her coming when they laughed together.

"Assalamualaikum" said Ayman and Zayna together.

"Getishalight."

"You guys have come? Sit down first, time is long. We have a conversation first," said Rahmat.

"Before, I wanted to apologize, Pa. We couldn't go long because we were going to the city, where Mas Ayman's parents lived. We want to go there" Zayna said.

"How arrogant are you, just to meet the village parents alone are busy," said Savina.

"Sorry, Ma. I don't mean like that. It's just, we only have two hours we don't want to miss the plane." Zayna tried to defend herself.

"Your disposable style of boarding any plane. Just get in the car mabok," Zanita sneered while laughing mockingly.

Zayna just kept quiet. He does not want to respond to things that will trigger a fight and will further slow down time. Before coming here he had already estimated everything. It turned out to be true, he would definitely be humiliated at any cost.

"All right then. Come on, let's go to the dining room!" invite Grace.

Zayna was grateful that her father would obey her wishes. Although he knew Ayman was perfectly capable of buying a return ticket, but the woman still did not want to throw away her ticket in vain. It was also an excuse to get out of this house.

Zayna should have been comfortable in the house she had been in for twenty-five years. However, in fact he was happier living in a rented house that people said almost collapsed it. A few days of living there gave her own memories and happiness.

Everyone followed Grace towards the dining room. They sit side by side with each other except Zivana who sits next to her mother and Zanita. Everyone filled their plates and immediately enjoyed it.
