“Kinan, I heard he said Mr. Hanif would resign, right?” farah asked while the two were in the library. The class had just finished, Kinan wanted to find a book for his task.
“Yes, he wants to focus on his papa company,” replied Kinan slowly, afraid he would disturb others.
“Pak Hanif has company?” Farah's strangling is held back.
“Hust .. rather it's a company owned by his parents. Mr. Hanif ‘kan only child so, he must forward the company of his parents. It's impossible to give it to someone else, right, while there's a child. Why try parents to build a big company if not for their children.”
"Why new now? Why not from before?"
"Sir Hanif refused. He still wants to reach his goal of becoming a teacher."
Farah nodded her head. There are not many good people like Mr. Hanif, who are willing to be difficult even though living a good life under his parents. It is fitting that the lecturer likes Kinan because both of them have a good heart.
“I did not expect, it turns out Mr. Hanif is a rich man," said Farah.
Kinan just nodded. He looked ordinary, then asked Fara. “Where do you know Mr Hanif would like to resign?”
“So many talk in class because today Mr. Hanif came to say goodbye to the lecturers.”
“Now Mr Hanif is on campus?” kinan asked because earlier, Hanif had not said anything regarding his arrival today.
“Iya, it's been since.”
A message entered Kinan's phone, when he saw it was a message from Hanif. The man he just talked about. His fiancee asked him to go to the parking lot.
“Farah, I'm back first, huh? I still have business.”
“Iya, it's okay.”
Kinan went from there to the parking lot. Arriving at the parking area, Kinan tries to find Hanif's car. I saw the whereabouts of his car. The girl came in immediately.
“You no longer have class?” ask Hanif.
“It's no more, just finished.”
“We go for a minute, I want to discuss something.”
“Bby.”
Hanif started the car and left the campus. Kinan was wondering exactly what the man wanted to say. However, it doesn't seem to be nice to talk about in the car. The girl looked around, she had never passed through this area. About where Hanif took her.
“So the kids said that you resigned, Mas?” tanya Kinan broke the silence.
“Yes, today I have started to resign. I told you once that I should focus on Papa's company. When it comes to sharing time between the company and the campus, it can be very difficult. For the company alone is very time-consuming, what else to share with campus.”
Kinan nodded. He knows how busy a company leader is. Hanif continued to focus on the streets. Fortunately, Kinan did not bring a car. It would definitely trouble people again to take it.
On the way, Kinan and Hanif talk about their extended family, after getting word of the wedding. Some were shocked and distrustful, others were happy. Until unknowingly the car driven by the man entered the housing complex.
“Where are we going, Mas? Why go into housing?”
“It's okay, just look later.”
Until finally Hanif's car entered the yard of a very large house. Kinan was so amazed by the building in front of him. A beautiful house with classic design.
“It's up, come on, come in!” bring Hanif.
Both got out of the car and entered the house. Hanif grasped Kinan's palm and led him into the house. Again the girl was surprised by the ornaments of the house. Everything looks classic, there are some family photos there.
Kinan only realized that this was the Hanif family home. All this time the girl did not know anything about her fiance, even the man's family home. This time he came to this house.
“Assalamualaikum,” said Hanif and Kinan when entering the house.
“Waalaikumsalam,” says Mama Aida while walking forward. “Eh, there's Mama's daughter-in-law here. Why didn't you tell me you wanted to come? Mama didn't do anything.”
“Not necessary, Ma. I don't want to take care of Mama" said Kinan while kissing the middle-aged woman's back hand.
“There is a hassle. You're Mama's son so, no troublesome words. My mom is glad you could play here. Can know Mama's house so, sometime you can play yourself here without waiting for Hanif."
“Iya, Ma.”
“Come, login! We sit in the family room only, so we can have a good chat,” invite Mama Aida.
They walk into the house. The middle-aged woman took her future son-in-law, making Kinan feel awkward, but the girl tried to look ordinary.
Mama Aida and Kinan sat in the living room, while Hanif headed to his room. There was something the man wanted to show his future wife.
“You were out of campus?” ask Mama Aida.
“Iya, Mother. I met Mas Hanif there. Said Mas Hanif had resigned from campus.”
“Yes, you know that he has to take care of the company. Who else if not Hanif. Even though she doesn't like it, she should still do it.”
While chatting, Hanif came with his laptop. The man sat next to the other Kinan so, now the position of the girl was between Mama Aida and Hanif.
“Honey, here are some examples of EO that I have contacted. You can choose one of them or if you want, you can choose another EO,” said Hanif while showing a picture of the decoration of one of the event organizers.
Meanwhile, Kinan was just silent, he felt embarrassed because the man called him ‘sayang’ in front of his future in-laws. It was very desirable for the girl to stuff her fiance's mouth because it had made her not move. Hanif was just busy fiddling with his laptop, no matter what Kinan felt.
“Darling, why silence? Which one to choose?” asked Hanif who this time looked towards Kinan.
The girl glared her eyes, tilting her head so that her future father-in-law would not know what Kinan was doing. He hoped Hanif understood his point, but the man seemed to be unconcerned and continued to stare at his laptop.
“He's shy, Hanif. You call her ‘sayang’ in front of Mama,” replied Mama Aida who knows how Kinan feels. His son was always acting.
“What if I call you ‘sayang’? No matter where Mama is, later when we get married there will always be Mama around us.”
Kinan smiled awkwardly at his future mother-in-law. He was confused as to how to behave. Her husband always behaved bod*h time with people around his family happy.
“Already, it's okay. She does like it that way,” concluded Mama Aida, who knows very well what her son means.
"I'm up to you, Mom. I have no idea about the reception. Of course I want the nuance of white, that's all," said Kinan.
"No other colors?" ask Hanif.
"If there's a combination, I want a combination of silver or purple. Whatever, as long as it's basically white."
"If you don't want to choose a theme?"
"No, it's up to you, just don't overdo it."
"Later I try to consult his EO. About how good it is."
"Kinan, regarding the family meeting day, Mama and Mama Aisyah are looking for the right time to meet and discuss about the wedding day. You know your Papa is each very busy. Maybe you have a wish for what date it is."
Kinan looked at Hanif as if asking, when is the right day for them to get married. "If I might be two or three months away. What say?"
"That's too fast, Mom. How about four more months, when it's also time for college holidays so, kind of leisure."
