The Step Sister of Tiri

The Step Sister of Tiri
157. The seven-month event

The days passed peacefully. Now there will be a seven-month review of Zayna's pregnancy. All preparations have been done as the wishes of the pregnant woman, the family only holds events at home. The invited guests are only family and orphans.

Last afternoon Zayna had passed the traditional event, everything went smoothly. Papa Rahmat and Mama Savina had arrived two days before the event. There is currently ongoing joint prayer reading for the safety of pregnant women and prospective babies. Zayna was moved by the presence of orphans who came to their homes.

Prayers are recited by a ustaz, not only for the safety of the baby and his mother, but also for the safety of the whole family. All guaranteed it solemnly. When finished, Ayman invited all guests to enjoy the dish.

Zayna suddenly shed tears as she watched the orphans enjoying the meal. Everything was well prepared by the whole family. The woman was overwhelmed by how lucky she was to have parents.

Although Zayna used to be not treated well, at least the woman could feel close to the parents, while those from their childhood lived in an orphanage. Never knew how his parents looked. Either they're alive or they're dead.

“Why are you crying, Honey?” ask Ayman who is next to Zayna.

“I just feel moved, seeing those who are so happy. Although in their hearts they must also feel lonely because they miss the affection of parents,” replied Zayna while looking at the children.

“You're wrong, honey. Although they had no parents, but there was still someone in charge of them. They can also still get affection from the orphanage mother and other caregivers who are there. I'm sure they'll give them more affection. Although his affection will not be able to replace parents, but I am sure they are very good at being grateful for what happens in their lives.”

“You're right, Mas. They are very independent and smart kids. They also never demand more. Whatever they get is always gratitude. If only everyone could always be grateful for whatever they got, surely life would be quiet without envy and spite."

“I'm glad you had an event like this. I hope our son will also have a big heart like you.”

“Amin, every parent would want the best for his child.”

“Ya. Yuk, we're eating! You must be hungry, too" asked Ayman.

“Let's go, Mas. I had eaten before the show started. I still want to talk to the kids. I also want to know how their lives.”

“Alright, you go there. I want to talk to the mother of the orphanage, want to thank you for coming here.”

Zayna nodded and left her husband. He approached the children and asked them to talk.

Meanwhile, at one of the tables, Kinan also noticed the children enjoying the dish. They look so happy talking to their friends.

“You again see what, Honey?” ask Hanif.

“See those kids, Mas. They look happy. I so want to have them.”

“You want to adopt them?”

“Not, I mean I want to be like Sister Zayna too. I want to get pregnant and be a mother. If adopting, I'm afraid not to trust.”

Hanif was a little surprised by what his wife said. During this time he thought Kinan did not want to get pregnant first because the wife was also still in college. When invited to marry only the woman refused, but now easily said she wanted to get pregnant. It was not that the man was not happy, instead Hanif was very happy to hear it. Just weird.

“You didn't postpone it, honey? I mean, you're not coming to KB?” ask Hanif again.

“Ngak, Mom. I never told you I was KB. Don't you want to have a child with me?” asked Kinan with a frown.

“Not so, I'm even glad that you're pregnant soon. I thought you postponed it because you are in college. In fact, I also said to my mother that you postpone it first because you still want to finish college.”

“You've never been the same as me, Mom? Why say mommy like that?”

“I don't know either, suddenly think like that.” Hanif scratched the back of his head that was not itching. He felt guilty for his mother.

“Keep mama response how?”

“Mama was initially disappointed, but tried to accept it. He ‘kan do not want to force his will the same as us.”

“This you, Mas. Why is my mom sad? But until now, also I still have no signs of pregnancy so, it's okay.”

“We're married for one month, honey. Still plenty of time.”

“Yes, yes already, just follow the running water. I also do not want to want too much of something, which will even burden my mind.”

Hanif smiled and said, “Iya, I agree with you. If it is time, God will surely give us his provision, but as hard as we try if it is not yet the time, then we will not get it. All God determines. Just don't forget to pray.”

“It's for sure.”

“So you didn't delay your pregnancy, Kinan?” asked Mama Aida who accidentally heard the talk of her son and daughter-in-law earlier. The woman sat next to her daughter-in-law with a glowing face.

“Since when did Mama eavesdrop on people talk?” asked Hanif in a dislike tone.

“Mama instead of nguping, Mama accidentally passed by and then heard your talk,” kilah Mama Aida because it was like that at first.

“Neither intentionally but doused as well. It's the same name as nguping. If not accidentally just a piece of doang.”

“As far as you are. Mama Just want it, was true you did not delay your pregnancy?” mama Aida asked again, regardless of what her son said.

“Iya, Mother. From the beginning I also did not postpone it.”

“Thank God, then, means Mama still has a chance to quickly have a grandchild. Mama will often pray that you can soon be given sustenance with God."

"Amen."

Mama Aida looked so happy to hear what Kinan said. All this time he covered up the sadness of thinking his daughter-in-law still did not want to have children, it turned out that it was wrong. Kinan, who saw a smile emanating from his in-laws face, also felt happy. During her one month stay with Mama Aida, she was quite understanding of her character.

Kinan was also always treated very well by Mama Aida, like her own son. Sometimes Mama Aida also took her to go shopping or to the salon. Although actually he really does not like to go to the salon, but for the sake of pleasing her in-laws the woman also came along.

When the show was over, Zayna handed out envelopes to the children. Mama Aida also suddenly shared the envelope, which was unknown since when the woman was prepared. The Ayman family also did not mind because it was the sustenance of the children.

"Why didn't you tell me you wanted to follow the envelope kids, Mom?" ask Kinan.

"I don't know either, honey, but it looks like it's been prepared by Mama from home. It's not possible to hear our conversation, is it?"

"Yes, Mom, it looks like it's been flushed from home too."
