The Sanctity of Tarnished Love

The Sanctity of Tarnished Love
I Can't

"Ken!" call Sella.

"Yes." replied Ken while staring at Sella.

"So how?" ask Sella.

"What?"

"When I've said about my feelings, then what's your answer? You can't let me down, can you, Ken?" sella asked as she touched Ken's arm.

"You sure you want to know what my answer is?"

"Of course." replied Sella with a smile.

"I'm beautiful, and I'm also a career woman. Compared to Dusk who was already a widow, I was much more everything. Ken can't possibly reject me." Sella's inner self in her heart.

"Actually I consider you nothing more than a friend of Sella's. I can't return your feelings, sorry!" said Ken with ease.

"What!" sella yelled as she frowned. Ken refused, he never really imagined, if it would be like this Ken's answer.

"You're kidding me, aren't you Ken?" ask Sella while looking at Ken.

"I'm serious Sella." replied Ken.

"But why? I'm lacking what Ken is, I'm pretty enough, and I'm smart too. And I was also born into a respectable family, I'm equal to you" Sella said firmly. He deliberately mentions his family for the sake of lowering Dusk.

"Why, I don't have any special feelings for you. You are nothing less, but about love, it comes by itself, I cannot choose where my heart will dock. You know Sella, true love is love that comes slowly, and without reason" Ken explained. He emphasized the word 'for no reason', because he knew where Sella was going.

Ken would never let anyone humble Dusk.

"But that doesn't mean you reject me like this, you can learn to love me. We're in a relationship, we give each other comfort, I'm sure you'll love me for a long time" Sella said.

"If I can't love you in the end, it doesn't hurt you Sella" Ken said.

"You can, you can Ken." Sella said quickly.

"Why can you be so sure?" ask Ken.

"We're both alone, it won't be hard to learn to love. Ken, I really love you, please don't break my heart huh." Sella replied as she clasped Ken's hand tightly.

"I can't sella." replied Ken as he pulled his hand.

"Why?"

"I'm alone, but my heart already loves another woman. I can't turn away from him." replied Ken.

"Where might I turn, he just gave me a chance. And I will definitely win his heart, I will be the luckiest man, because I can have it." - Ken in his heart.

"Is that woman Dusk?" sella asked while squinting her eyes.

"You're right." replied Ken with a smile. A smile that Sella thought was so annoying.

"What you've seen of him Ken, he's a widow, he's a former man. And soon she's got a kid, are you sure you want to support Ken's kid?" sella asked with a small smile.

Sella folded her hands on her chest, again it was still Dusk that became her obstacle.

"Basic fucking woman!" sella grumbled in her heart.

"She's my ex, and she's pregnant with my son. Isn't that a very good thing, ahh it's a pity that you don't know that Sella." Ken's inner voice with a slanted smile.

"Love doesn't look at Sella's status, I sincerely love her, I don't care if she's a widow, or not. And as for the child, if I loved his mother, I would love his son too." said Ken casually.

"He's my biological son, where I might not love him." Ken's inner voice raised his eyebrows.

"You've really been blinded by Ken, he's left you, he's married to someone else, he's disloyal to Ken. She's..."

"Ahh shit!" sella grumbled while stomping her feet. His hand hit the empty air before him.

"But I won't give up, I've gone this far, so I won't back down again.

Ken, whatever way you have to be mine!" said Sella while playing the end of her hair.

***

The sparkling stars flashing in the high sky, combined with the beautiful full moonlight.

Flickering city lights, keep glowing accompany the night is getting late.

A man was sitting alone on a park bench, enjoying the cold night breeze that hit his body.

She was Dika, a man who was lamenting disappointment, for failing in love. The Light of Dusk, the woman he had long loved, but never for a second managed to have. It was Ken, after that Dawn, and now he prefers solitude, rather than having a relationship with him.

"It's that bad I am in your eyes Dusk, to the point that you never want to consider me." said Dika while exhaling violently.

Soon, Dika felt the night air getting colder, and bone-chilling. Dika decided to go to his club Alvin.

"With a little alcohol maybe I can forget about you Dusk" said Dika as she moved from her seat.

Dika started to move his legs lazily. He left the park bench, and walked over to his car. Accidentally Dika's eyes stared at the old drink cans lying on the grass. In order to satisfy his upset heart, Dika kicked the used can until it was thrown far away.

"Aww...!" shouted a woman who was standing not far from her place.

Dika frowned, then he turned his head, and looked at the woman who was grimacing while holding her forehead.

Then Dika stepped closer to the woman.

"Why Mother?" asked Dika while looking at the woman.

"Some one threw something, and it hit my forehead. It hurts!" replied the woman while rubbing her reddened forehead.

"Oh My God, that's the can I kicked earlier." Dika's mind as she stared at the old can near her feet.

"Seriously Ma'am, how come there are so pranksters" said Dika while hiding his smile.

"Let's go, a broken hearted person maybe!" the woman was upset.

"Ahh shit, his mouth is very spicy." grumbled Dika in his heart.

"Patience Ma'am, oh where are you going? It's already night." asked Dika as she looked at the woman standing before her. He seemed to be carrying some grocery bags.

"I want to go home, but the taxi I ordered didn't come." replied the woman.

"Mr's house where, let me take you. Danger if a woman walks alone at night." said Dika.

"No, Om, I can do it myself. My house is not far from here. The road itself is dangerous, but follow people who do not know, it is much more dangerous Om." replied the woman casually.

"Om he said, really the mouth of the chili!" grumbled Dika in his heart.

Dika looked at the woman, or perhaps more precisely the girl. From the look on her face, the girl's age might be around 20 years. His face was white, and his hair was shoulder-length. She was not beautiful, but quite sweet, making the pairs of eyes want to linger staring at her.

"I'm sorry Om!" said the girl as she stepped away leaving Dika.

"Seriously don't want to be delivered?" ask Dika.

"No, I'm afraid of Om!" the girl answered without looking. He continued to accelerate his pace, and left Dika who was still in his place.

"Basic girl sucks! What do I think I'm a criminal, so relaxed about being scared. Call me Om again, I am that old. I was young, so you know I was young too. But now that I am also young, ahh I don't know how dizzy thinking about that indistinct girl!" grouse Dika while walking closer to his car.
