The End of a Story

"I'm sorry Ken, but it's not just about feelings. Regrets, and guilt I feel can't open my heart to you. I hurt her once, but like you said, everything's done. Now all I can do is take care of his love, and make him the only husband of my life" said Dusk as he moved from his seat.

Ken went up, he looked at Dusk standing behind him. Ken rubbed his face, and flicked his falling hair over his eyes.

"But there's one thing you should know Aya" said Ken as he stepped closer to Dusk.

"After knowing you were pregnant, Dawn came to see me. He told me to take care of you, Dawn entrusted me to take his place next to you." continued Ken while standing right next to Dusk.

"What did you say Ken?"

"I told Aya the truth, when Dawn came to see me. She told me to take care of you, she said that not only because you were pregnant with my son, but because she also knew that I loved you so much" Ken explained.

Dusk fell silent, he digested the sentence that Ken had just uttered.

"It looks like you misunderstood brother, maybe you thought of me, and Ken still loves each other. That's why you gave up, and told him to take care of me. But actually it's not like that brother, that night I was just an emotion, I don't know anymore how to deal with your attitude, I feel tired with our marriage that is not clear where the end is." said Dusk in his heart.

"Yes!" call Ken.

"I can't Ken." said Dusk as he looked at Ken.

"Sorry Ken, I'm sticking to my decision. I will endure this solitude." replied Dusk.

Dusk let out a long sigh, rejecting Ken was much harder, rather than rejecting Dika. This man had a myriad of answers from every sentence he uttered.

"Sorry Ken." again just an apology that Dusk said. I don't know how many times he said that.

"I don't understand your way of mind Aya. Five more years we've been in a relationship, what do you consider Aya!" ken shouted with a hunting breath.

Ken stepped his foot, and stood right in front of Dusk.

Dusk stepped back, but only a few steps his body was docked to the evergreen tree that grew in the park. Dusk could no longer move, he had no choice but to stare at the look of disappointment on Ken's face, which was right in front of him.

"You were the first woman I ever fell in love with, and you're also the only woman I've ever had a relationship with. You used to say I was your first man too, but why do I have absolutely no effect in your heart Aya" Ken said as he stared intently at Dusk.

"Five more years we've been in a relationship, but you've easily left me. You said I cheated, even though I never did. But you never listen to me, you leave with your prejudices that have absolutely no point!" ken continued, rubbing his face violently.

"Six months I tried to explain everything, but you never understood. You even had a relationship with Dawn, without ever thinking about my feelings. Even I had to swallow the disappointment when you decided to marry her. But all that time I still love you Aya, even though I know you are married to someone else, my heart still cannot forget you. I can't see any other woman besides you!" said Ken in a higher tone.

He stared at the silent twilight without a sound.

Don't you understand that Aya?" ken said slowly. Sweat spots seemed to wet his forehead. His eyes were glaring, staring at Dusk without a blink.

Dusk lowered, he no longer knew what to answer. Ken is really smart, he managed to get his heart in a dilemma.

"Yes!" call Ken while slipping his messy Twilight hair on his face.

Dusk did not answer, only his eyes now began to glaze over. He knew his attitude must have hurt Ken a lot, but he couldn't lie to himself either. Right now his feelings are only for Dawn, and he is not ready to love another. Only five months after Dawn left him, he still needed time to accept that fact.

"Think of our son Aya too, he needs a father figure" Ken said slowly.

"Yes!" call Ken, because Dusk is still silent.

"Bad five months left, I need time" said Dusk slowly.

"You want to give me a chance?" ask Ken with a smile.

"Yes, but don't be so hopeful, because I don't know when I can open my heart to you. I'm not forcing you to keep waiting for me. If later you can fall in love with others, I'm fine, because you deserve to be happy too." replied Dusk as he looked at Ken.

"I won't fall in love again Aya. I'll wait for you." said Ken.

"Alright, if that's what you want. I'll take good care of our son, I won't present a father figure other than you. If I could just open my heart and get married. Surely the man I chose was you." said Dusk.

"I hold your words Aya. I hope you never deny it." said Ken.

"No, but if I can't open my heart later, you have to understand Ken." said Dusk.

"I understand Aya, I'm sincere if you choose yourself. But I'm not sincere if you're with the others." replied Ken with a smile.

"I will try to melt your heart. I'm sure I can, someday you'll love me like you used to. I look forward to that day Aya." said Ken in his heart.

"I wanted to tell him to stop loving me. But I finally gave her a chance. I don't know if what I did was wrong, or not. I don't know which one to choose, to keep his love for Dawn, or to keep my son's feelings. I entrust everything to destiny, I let it all flow like water. Let the time answer, what the way of my life will be." said Dusk in his heart.

The two of them were quietly fixated, they dissolved in their respective minds. There was no sound, and only the faint rustling of the wind sounded.
