The Sanctity of Tarnished Love

The Sanctity of Tarnished Love
Seeking Dusk

In a large room, Fajar sat on his chair. Some files appear to accumulate on the table, as well as a computer screen that is left to turn on. Even though Dawn was sitting there, her mind was still left in the apartment. The shadow of the twilight tears greatly messed up his feelings. He slightly regretted his actions this morning which was quite rude to Dusk.

"There's no way out of my problem. All this is very heavy, it feels like I can no longer" said Fajar while holding his head that feels dizzy.

As Dawn was dissolving in her grief, her phone suddenly rang. Dawn glanced at him at a glance, it was A who called him. Lazily Fajar grabbed the phone, and stuck it in his ear.

"Hallo!" greet Dawn.

"Hallo Dawn." replied the man.

"What's wrong?" ask Dawn.

"So I met your wife." replied the man without further ado.

Dawn gasped in surprise, why did she meet Dusk? Where is Dusk?

"Where did you meet him?" ask the dawn quickly.

"Near the shopping center, I don't know where he's going, but he's obviously asking about Adara to Hana" the man said.

"Then what did Hana say to Dusk?" ask Fajar with a pounding heart. It turned out that Dusk had not given up, he still continued to search for information about Adara.

"She just said that Adara couldn't possibly bother you. But he did not say how Adara was doing now" replied the man.

"Ahh thank God, at least Dusk did not know about my secret." said Fajar while breathing a sigh of relief. In the future, he will be more careful in acting.

"Don't know, but don't know."

"What do you mean?" ask Dawn.

"Until when are you going to hide all this from him. Sooner or later he'll know the truth, so why don't you just be honest with him?"

"You don't go crazy, I can't possibly tell her all this. He'll definitely leave me, and I don't want that to happen!" said Dawn in a slightly high tone.

"You're honest, or you're not, in time he'll know. You can't possibly hide all this forever. If indeed he cannot accept your shortcomings, someday he will also leave you." said the man firmly.

"What are you saying! She can't leave me, I love her so much!" shouts Dawn.

"If you love her, be honest with her! He accepts you, or you don't have to respect his decision. If you love her, you should be willing to see her happy, even if that happiness is not with you. Dawn, whether you realize it or not, your current relationship, it just hurt her" the man said at length.

"But I love him, I can't let go of him" Fajar said quietly.

"I know, it's honest from now on. If he knew the truth from others, he would be disappointed. But if he knows from you, he will most likely forgive you, and accept you" the man said.

"No! I can't! If I'm honest he'll definitely leave! He is too noble to accept me who is despicable!" snapped Dawn.

"You don't be pessimistic, I'm sure Dusk isn't that cruel. Be honest with him, he can understand." said the man.

"No! I won't be honest with him, I don't want to lose him!" shouts Dawn while slamming her phone.

The throw is quite hard, making the phone screen cracked badly.

"Adrrghhhh!!!" fajr growled while grabbing his hair violently.

He sat down languidly on the floor, looking down while still holding his head.

"Why should my life be like this, I know I'm wrong, but this punishment is too much for me" Fajar said in a trembling tone.

"Senja, I have to call him" said Fajar as he moved from his seat. He snorted in annoyance as he stared at his horrendous cell phone. Then he walked out of the room.

"Dani!" call Fajar to his secretary.

"Yes sir." replied Dani while looking over.

"Borrow your cell phone" said Fajar.

"This is sir" Dani said as she reached out her phone. Dawn received the phone, and began to contact Dusk.

And again he growled annoyed when he found the number Dusk was not active.

"I'm going home, cancel all my schedules today!" dawn said while putting Dani's phone on the table.

"But Sir..."

"Nothing but, because there is something more important than work" Fajar said firmly.

"Well sir." said Dani relented.

"And one more thing, my phone is in the room, but it's broken. Buy me a new phone, move the card, and drop it off at the apartment when it's done" Fajar said. Then he walked away leaving Dani.

Dawn quickened her steps towards the parking lot. He got into his car and drove it fast. The goal is his apartment, he wants to make sure if Dusk is okay there.

About half an hour later, Dawn arrived at the apartment courtyard. He parked his car, and quickly ran to his apartment. Impatiently Fajar opened his door.

"Alley! Baby where are you!" shouts of Dawn as it breezes in.

"Alley! It's twilight!" Dawn continued to shout as she stepped towards her room.

The heart of Dawn began to beat fast, there was no wife there. He stared at the table, the little sling bag belonging to Dusk that used to be placed there now does not exist.

"Where are you, baby." murmured Fajar as he stepped out of the room.

Then he kept running out of his apartment, he went back to his car. This time the destination was Alvin's house.

Fajar drove his car at high speed, he did not care about other vehicles that were drunk when he passed by him. Right now all he had in mind was Dusk, and Dusk.

It didn't take long, so Fajr finally arrived in front of Alvin's house. He rushed down, and ran towards the door.

"The vin! Alvin's! Vin!" shouts of Dawn while knocking on Alvin's door. But there is no truth from within, even until Dawn knocks him many times.

Dawn passed away with shuntai steps, he did not care about the scorching sun that was quite stinging. Dawn back in his car, this time the goal is Alvin's nightclub.

"May you be there baby, forgive my attitude, please don't leave my side." said Fajar as he drove forward.

***

The hour hand shows at 06:00 p.m. Ken stopped his car in front of Alvin's house. Actually the doctor told Dusk to go home tomorrow, but he insisted on asking to go home today. He was discharged from the hospital this evening.

"Thank you Ken." said Dusk, releasing his seatbelt.

"Yes, let's take it!" said Ken.

"No, I can do it myself Ken." replied Dusk.

"It's okay Aya, come on!" take Ken with you while opening the car door.

No other option finally Dusk accepts Ken's offer to drive him to the door.

"Sister! Brother Alvin!" call Dusk while knocking on the door. But for a few seconds, there was no reply from his brother.

"Could it be that Alvin's brother has gone to the club?" ask Ken.

"No way, it's still afternoon." replied Dusk.

"Then where is he?" ask Ken.

"I'm calling before." said Dusk, taking his phone from his bag.

"Ahh dead again." grumbled Dusk in annoyance.

"Why?" ask Ken.

"My phone is low bat." replied Dusk.

"Just use this." said Ken while propping his phone.

"Thank you" replied Dusk, grabbing the phone.

Then Dusk typed Alvin's number, and then called him.

"Hallo Brother! Where's Alvin?" ask Dusk.

"Oh so. Yes, I closed the phone." said Dusk after hearing the answer from his brother. He handed the phone to Ken with a lethargic look.

"Why?" ask Ken.

"Sister Alvin is out of town, next week just come home" replied Dusk.

"Then let's take you to the apartment!" take Ken while staring at Dusk.

The silent twilight did not make a sound, he just lowered his head while shaking his head.

"You don't want to go home, why Aya?" ken asked in surprise.

Again Dusk did not answer, he just kept silent while reaching for the spare key from inside his bag. Dusk opened the door, and then breezed in. Ken followed his steps behind.

"You come home Ken, thank you for driving me" said Dusk, turning on the living room lights.

"You're fighting with your husband?" ask Ken.

"Go home! And don't ask too many questions!" said Dusk while sitting on a chair.

But instead of obeying the orders of Dusk, Ken instead sat beside him. He stared fixedly at Dusk.

"I'm ready to be a listener, if you want to share your problems" Ken said.

"I don't have a problem, I just need time to myself" said Dusk without turning his head.

"There's no point in you lying, because I know you very well Aya" Ken said.

Dusk was silent for quite a while. He felt a dilemma in his heart. Actually he wanted to keep his problem alone, but it was quite heavy. There was a desire to tell Ken, but was it worth it? He is married and Ken is his ex-girlfriend.

"I know Brother Fajar, and Adara have a close relationship, five years more they are together. But now that Brother Fajar has married me, it is not wrong if he is still shackled with his past. Then what do I mean, what does this marriage mean." said Dusk with his head down. After a long silence, he finally decided to tell Ken.

"You..." Ken stopped his sentence when he heard the sound of an incoming message on his phone.

He opened the message, and then read it.

"Yes I've got information about Arrion" Ken said with an eye that could not be separated from his phone.

"really?"

"Yes, look! My man has five Arrions with different last names. Three of them are from Indonesia, and the other two are native to Singapore. One Arrion works as a lecturer, another as a doctor. Keep the third as a Junior High teacher, the fourth as a designer, and the last as a regular laborer, but he lives in the apartment next to Adara's apartment" said Ken at length, seraya showed her phone screen at Dusk.

"Where are we looking for Arrion?" ask Dusk.

"We have to investigate Arrion who works as a designer, and ordinary laborers" Ken replied.

"Why them?"

"Yes you remember, Adara is a designer, most likely she has something to do with this Arrion. And for the working Arrion, he's a regular laborer, but he lives in a fancy apartment. It was quite awkward Aya, and again her apartment was right next to Adara's. I don't think it's a coincidence, but it's very suspicious" Ken explained.

"Ken is indeed intelligent, it is not wrong that I ask him for help." Inner Dusk in his heart.

Seriate....
