A Foreign Feelings

Andi's mother and father read carefully what Adit gave them. They never thought if their former employer who gave their children to them experienced the bad thing for decades.

Andi's mother just cried, her chest felt tight. After 25 years of hiding that fact from Andi, fate finally revealed that fact just like that.

Elsewhere, Dini and Dimas were in the hospital courtyard. They were sitting on a bench there.

I don't know why Dini only thought about Andi at that time. He remembered well what Andi told him a few days ago.

The clock was showing at 7pm, Dini and Dimas were still sitting in front of Andi's room.

"Dimas, you want to go back now?" ask Dimas Early.

"I want to be here first" replied Dini.

"I'll take you home, tomorrow you can come back!"

"No Dimas, I can go home by myself later, I want to be here first."

"You should also rest Andini, you should take care of your health!"

"I'm good, you're calm!" say Early by holding Dimas' hand.

"But I can't tell you you're alone here" Dimas said.

"There's Andi's mom and dad, don't worry!"

"You have to go home Din!" said Adit who arrived to come to Dimas and Dini.

"You should be in the office tomorrow, so you should go home now!"

Dini and Dimas then left the hospital after saying goodbye to Adit and Andi's parents.

On the way home, Dini and Dimas did not say much. Since Andi was admitted to the hospital, Dini did not talk much. It made Dimas a little upset, but he should be able to hold it in view of the situation that was going on at the time.

He did not want to make Dini's mind even more burdened.

"Andini, can I hug you?" ask Dimas.

"Why are you asking that?" reply Early asked.

"I'm just afraid you'll refuse again" replied Dimas who sounded so disappointed.

Early then shifted his sitting position and kissed Dimas' cheek.

"I'm sorry Dimas, I don't know what I've done, me....."

"Andi's thoughts?"

Dini nods small.

"I understand dear, no papa," said Dimas then got out of his car and opened the door for Dini to get off.

Dini then hugged Dimas as he just got off.

"You mad?" dini asked who was still hugging Dimas.

"No, you have to go in, baby!" dimas replied while releasing an Early hug, but Dini was getting closer and closer to him.

"I know you're sprained with me, I'm sorry," said Dini.

Dimas just kept quiet and returned a tight hug Dini then took it off. Dimas held both Early cheeks and stared both Early eyes deeply.

"I know you're sad, I'm sad too, he's also my best friend Andini" Dimas said.

Dini nodded her head then re-hugged Dimas.

"I went back, baby, take good care of yourself, tell me that Andi was conscious," said Dimas then kissed Dini's forehead and left the house Early.

Time passes, days change. It has been 5 days since the kidney transplant was done, Andi has not been aware. Now only Andi's mother and Adit's man who keep Andi in front of his room.

So is Mama Siska, only Lukman's sir who guards her in front of her room.

While Adit, Dini and Andi's father must be busy again with their work. Even though it feels so heavy, life must still go as it should.

For a while it made the smile and the cheerfulness of the person's face fade away. It never crossed their minds if bad things would happen.

That day, the doctor had allowed the family to enter Andi's room. When Dini arrived there, he immediately went to meet his friend who was still closed.

Andi's mother, who realized the arrival of Dini, immediately came out of the room, she had to give Dini time to be alone with Andi.

Early then sat on the chair beside Andi's bed. He stared fixedly at the face of his best friend. He touched Andi's hand trembling. Sadness made her tears just flow. A sense of tightness filled his chest as he looked at his best friend who was still closed for days in a hospital bed.

"I know you must be strong Ndi, I know you're struggling, but you also have to know that if I miss you, it hurts because it can only see you from behind the door, seeing you shut up without me knowing when you're going to wake up, I don't know what I'm feeling because I'm your best friend or there's another reason in my heart that I can't understand, I beg you to wake up Ndi, obviously everything is the same I am, obviously if what I am feeling is because I am your friend, not because there are other feelings that should not exist," say Early with sobbing.

"I don't know why these few days I always remember the words you said that night 'you are me, your happiness is my happiness, so is your sadness my sadness too, you are my world Din, as long as you are happy, my world will be good, '" Dini said, mimicking Andi's words to him a few days ago.

"I love Dimas Ndi, I love him, a lot we have been through together, but why can't I let go of you, I can't just choose Dimas and leave you, I don't even want you to walk away from me and I realize I'm still selfish."

"You want when we were kids, you always fought the same Dimas because he always bullied me, even until we were in High School you still like fighting with him, but now you guys are good friends, too, you're the same Dimas, you're two precious men in my life, but......"

Dini stopped her speech. He wiped away the tears that had soaked his cheeks. The foreign feeling he felt made his heart feel chaotic.

"Andi, there is something foreign in my heart, a feeling that I can't understand, a feeling that makes me waver as well as my decision, I want you to wake up and help me explain all this Ndi, I want you to, I beg you."

Early holding his chest that increasingly felt tight. The feeling in his heart for a while made him worry.

Shortly after, the doctor came out and said that Andi was awake. The situation is much better, but still requires intense monitoring from the Doctor.

"It is better that only one person goes inside, even if the situation has improved, the patient should not be under pressure that can interfere with his mind, so please take turns to see the patient," said the doctor at the end of his explanation.

"Well Doc, thank you," reply Early.

Dini then brought her eyes to Andi's mother with a smile. They hugged each other, there was a priceless sense of happiness they felt.

"This will wait here," Dini told Andi's mother.

"You're the one who entered Din," replied Andi's mother and then sat beside Dini.

"But....."

"Mom wants to wait for Andi's father" said Andi's mother cut Dini's speech.

He nodded his head and entered Andi's room.

The smile that had faded for these few days was again beautifully painted on her beautiful face. The flowers in his heart seemed to re-bloom with a happy fragrance.

Here then sat on the chair next to Andi's bed. He grabbed Andi's hand and looked at her longingly.

For a moment they just stared at each other without making a sound. The eyes of the two of them were enough to describe what they were feeling at that moment. Without a word, the contents of the heart will be revealed through a sincere look in the eye.

A tear then fell from both corners of Early's eyes. Although the smile was still visible from his lips, happiness made the tears spill again.

Andi then pulled her hand from Dini's grasp and wiped the tears Early.

"Don't cry" Andi said softly.

Dini nodded then clasped Andi's hand. They were still silent with eyes looking at each other.

Nature stopped her time at that time. The hour seemed to stop watching the two human children who were being hit by longing in their hearts.

Arriving Early to remember the words of the Doctor if he should not overload Andi's mind, he decided to keep all the questions that disturbed him and will ask him if the situation is better.
